  • Thanks for the comparison, now I know what to order.

  • For people who are coming looking for information to decide what they want.. I have an 06 Lancer EVO and put the 8000k in mine. The 8000k in my opinion is WAY too blue, like.. just waiting to get pulled over blue. In the fog I can't see shit with them so either you need to get the relay or the higher wattage bulbs. I'm switching to the 6000k. I live in CA by the way for law references.

  • @mg86ta1 Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated.

  • @AFireInside904 Hey I recently put the 6000k in and they were still too blue for my taste but are definitely doable for someone who wants the blue.. I just ordered a set of 5000k bulbs which should be here in a couple days.

  • @mg86ta1 Damn that sucks, hope the 5000k turns out good for ya. I just placed an order for the 6000k, hopefully it doesn't turn out too blue, I don't mind a little blue though.

  • @AFireInside904 Oh, you should be good then.. It's like a blueish white. I was going for the BMW whitish kinda look with mine.

  • kinda got that T.I. voice!

  • @brandonfrey18

    lmfao

  • Its funny how alot of ppl try and act like their knowledge of HID's means anything. Comments are funny.

  • No shit asshole....that's why I titled the video 6000k (six thousand kelvin) vs. 8000k (eight thousand kelvin) does that help?

  • idiot its not 6k and 8k its 6 thousand k and 8 thousand k

  • @k20minh Im sure he knows that. Its just easier to say 6k or 8k....everyone does it.dont be a douche.

  • Great vid..........got right down to it! All that was needed. Good job!

  • 6k looks brighter because they are brighter. A blue light will never light up a room as well as the same powered white light. The high contrast from blue light also fatigues your eyes faster.

A 5k would be even brighter.

  • 6k look brighter!!

  • @walter10gaitan Thats cuz it is, 6000K is the nearest to the actual color of daylight, 8000K has a blue hue to it, which makes is slightly less bright, it's still bright, just has that blue tint to it I'm still debating on whether to get 6000K or 8000K. blue is cool, but white is bright

  • @letemrip32 Well 6000k is Not White....4300k have most Lumens of All and its nearest to Daylight..5000k is White 6000k is White/ice Blue 8000k is ice Blue !! Right now i have 8k on my car but before them i have 5k and 6k..Yes they have more light than 8k but for me 8k looks realy great on car..

  • CORRECTION to the top rated comment: When I think of a black guy with a long big dick, i think of yours.

  • 6k all the way

  • most people dont even know what the k stands for (killowats) welcome

  • @MrRpalm69 You dont know what it stands for either. K stands for Kelvin. You measure light color by its "temperature". ie: the temperature a black body object would have to be in order to emit a particular color.

For example, an object which measure 4500 degrees kelvin (4500k) would have a light output extremely close to pure white. An object at 6504 degrees kelvin would emit light exactly the same color as what we see at high noon on a clear day.

    "Welcome".

  • @MrRpalm69 Kevlin scale bro. Good try though

  • But I heard they burn quicker ?

  • was the 6k pointing higher than the 8k? because from the glare it looked like 6k was brighter

  • I need 6k

  • IDK what ones i schould get 6k or 10k i dont want to get pulled over all the time. and would i have to buy a whole new head light because im getting the hid kit?

  • @premierskateboarding just buy the correct kit

  • @premierskateboarding if you get 10K HID bulbs you will definitely stand out from the other cars and cops will notice. I guess it depends on the police in your area too, if they have nothing else better to do, but pull someone over for something like this. The higher the number you go the darker the beam will look on the road. This can be very dangerous on new black paved roads or on wet roads. If your worried about the color getting you pulled over, get 6K bulbs, but no higher than 8K.

  • is the number 6k or 8k, how bright they will be or just the tint ??

  • @c0uchsl0uch its just tint. the less number means less color and more brightness, greater the number means less brightness n more color like 35000 is not bright but has pink color

  • for late night driveing is the 6000k better?? can u se more then the bluish 8000k

  • @Dansz71sierra blue lights are stupid the 6000k are brighter

  • lol quick and straight to the point

  • I have 8k in my accord. I like the color and youre less likely to get pulled over. Fuck da police.haha

  • when I think of a black mans voice, I think of yours:')

  • this guys voice is funny

  • ya but the guy on the left isnt pointing towards you

  • This Video dosnt show true color of both soo they will look the same in camera dumb dumb : )

  • HID's are fine if you set the bulbs behind a projector lens. Spreads the light around.

  • i have 6k, but ordered some 8k bulbs. get your stuff from v v m e . c o m. there's no point of spending hundreds on these kits. trust me, i ordered my cousin a pair of 10ks, my friend some an 8k kit, and now i'm switching my bulbs out to 8k, too. they're legit...

  • i went to a shop and asked if i can buy new bulbs for my kit cuz i have the standard HID and wanted to upgrade to 6k and he looked at me like WTF u cant do that i was like u cant? im confused he said if i want more K i have to buy another KIT wit more k? HELP lol

  • nope you can buy the bulbs but most retailers dont sell the bulbs you have to go to ebay. :P type in HID replacement bulbs..the reason dealers dont sell the bulbs is because their known to last a very long time...hope that helped

  • @xBLAKMATTx Oh hey thanks a lot man

now i know... thanks for your help

  • @Petetopia NO you just straight swap the bulbs. The ballast should be able to power what ever bulb as long as the same wattage

  • @jason42090 that website is good got my fogs from there but also DDMTUNING . co m has great prices aswell $50 for digital with LIFETIME warranty

  • there is no diferent

  • 6k is has more light output but 8k has more color. just depends what your lookin for i guess

  • 8000k > 6000k

  • why do i get flashed 3 or 4 times everytime i drive at night with 8000k bulbs? i also have upgraded clear headlight housing too. i've met up with other drivers on the road with 10,000k and even 12,000 and it never seems to blind me. why am i getting flashed so much?

  • maybe your aim is a little high, I've had 6000k's for two weeks already and only got flashed once, and since i have the bi-xenon, i flashed them back. lol. But yea you should check the aim of your lights and adjust them if needed.

  • guess what...ive had my HIDs for 2 weeks too not only 8000k but i got them jacked up high and never been flashed...seriously tho, once i forgot my high beams on and didnt realize it untill i got home...i guess hb really simulate daytime

  • haha damn, well fuck, do your thing. let's just hope no one runs into you from being blinded by your lights.

  • thats a good point...i never thought of that. dayum I always thought of them running off the road not into me...I need to go fix that thanks

  • THE BULBS AINT IN RIGHT

  • it shouldn't be the bulbs, it's the whole headlamp. there's screws behind it where you can adjust the light up/down and left/right.

  • becuase there illegal to use on the road perhaps.

  • I wouldn't say that. 8000k requires more power. So it makes sense. 8000k has more output.

  • 6000k is actually brighter due to the kelvin scale of colour temps. 5800 is considered to be the most "useable" light and therefore that woud be the brightest, and since 6000k is closer to 5800 than 8000k, it will be brighter

  • wow 6k owns 8k i guess after 6k the power drops?
