I too attended the good old blue and gold. My name is phil, some of you may remember me as hoss or Hale. I too will validate that there wasn't a single day that i wasn't abused or that I didn't witness one of my brother cadets being abused, assaulted, degraded, and treated like nothing more than a piece of crap. This is what happens when you put kids in charge of other kids, " absolute power corrupts absolutly". Your stay at Lyman Ward is nothing more than luck, It depends on whos in charge.

I can't believe that with the enormous amount of complaints of child abuse going on at this school, why haven't civil or criminal charges been made against them. I can only guess that its because they are being protected by the government. This seems to be the ultimate government brainwashing program, which is what the military specializes in. Although, there are cheaper alternatives. Many states have boot camp programs for child criminals.

i went there my 10th grade year. im not against the training and the effort. i am against little kids getting beat in there sleep. im against the drugs. im against askingfor help and not getting it. im against the fighting and disrespect. im againstthe abuse. i wentthere and saw many kids get beat in there sleep and ask for help and protection and get beat even more for telling. got there a disruption to society and return suicidal. parents if your kids tell you they enjoy it there lying.

I don't know what happened to me at this school. I went to LWMA an energetic and youthful young man, and left tired and depressed, with all of the symptoms of adrenal burnout. It seems to have gotten worse over the 23 years I've been gone. I call it LWMA syndrome.

Military school is bad for kids because it teaches blind patriotism and loyalty to a disloyal and corrupt government. This is how tyrants rise to power. This is why the USA is so screwed-up today. People won't question their gov't.

This school is certainly corrupt and dirty, and stinks of FREEMASONRY and other secret organizations controlling it. I was there in the late 80's. As an adult today, I would NEVER trust these people around my kids. This is a prison for kids, and nobody should be sent their without a trial by jury.

I think this is a great school with a great staff! Both of my boys go here and they have learned tons, both academically and in the 'selfs' (self discipline, self respect, and self control).

It might not have been up to the standards of the former (troubled probably) cadets below, but in 2010 and 2011, it is great!! My boys will graduate from this school. This school doesn't give up on these young men, they encourage them and help them to become sucessful, productive citizens...

The stories of the hazing of cadets is very true. Adult supervision is non existent, Jenrette doesnt give a god-damn what goes on in that school. He didn't when i was there in 1985-86. Some things never change. i have nothing but negative things to say about the school. They talk of building up students that have been beaten down by public schooling...what a crock! Beware of LWMA.

This school is absolutely fraught with corruption, hazing, drug abuse and extortion. The faculty is inept, the education is a JOKE and the adult supervision is NON-EXISTENT. Beware of LWMA.

I attended LWMA in 03 and 04. I met some of my best friends there. I hated it at the time, but when me and my friends talk about it today, we actually miss it. It was like having 200 brothers when i went. I was running back on the football team and played basketball and wrestled.

I graduated from there in 85 and of course there was some hazing that went on. You put that many boys together and it happens but I never saw anything that I would consider criminal. Overall for me, I'm tremendously thankful to the school for helping me grow without the trappings I had in public school. Nothing but high marks for LWMA from this ex-cadet.

i hated this school i went here from October 2007- May 2008 im in this video too im at 1:27, 2:18 (im the black boy in white) and 5:24 (the black kid) i hated this school but made some life long friends

This place reeks of Secret Societies (as with most schools). I'm glad there are other people besides me that have bitter memories about this place. I went there in 1988, at the age of 13. You can't let juvenile criminals rule over other juvenile criminals. There was defiantly assaults on me, by other cadets (on a regular basis). It left a deep scar in me, psychologically.

I believe that we need to ask, why are these troubled kids misbehaving and getting into trouble? Why do we need to send them to military school? I was being sexually abused and harassed at school, prior to being sent to LWMA. I began tearing-up the school and my parents home. I believe that these were 'cries for help.' As a punishment I was sent to military school.

Well, my story will never be heard.

parents who may come across this. PLEASE! do not send your child here. I went a mischevious 16 year old. i left a heartless hardened criminal. the kids my years there called it. LUCIFERS WHAREHOUSE FOR MAL ADJUSTED ADOLESCENTS.... i had my arm braken completly in half here. then was forced to do push ups for a week. before i finaly got to a hospital. it was to late fore surgery. i will never have full use of my left arm. do not be decieved. it is anything but what u see here.

i was a vivctem of lyman ward. i attended from 1998-2001. they left out. regular BEATINGS! peeing on new commers that have been knocked out in the group shower. they cover there tracks. but it took me years to get over my expieriences there. like being beatin and stripped naked. not to mention the mental tourture. you cant leave kids in charga of kids. especialy troubled kids.
