  • Larry Bird vs Micheal Jordan 23-11 all time.

  • REJECT!

  • I have analyzed all basketball players , teammates , stats, coaches, rules, etc..etc..etc..LARRY BIRD & Michael Jordan are tied as the best basketball player of all time !!!! With Kareem Abdul Jabaar a close runner up! PS( Magic Johnson is the most over rated next to Kobe)

  • People get blocks. and get blocked. its basketball

  • not a special play. dont get me wrong Bird was a phenomenal player. jordan had no where to go on this one. he blew past two defenders and larry was just waiting for him

  • Bird>Jordan. Sorry everyone but just because Jordan won 6 rings in the 90's doesn't make him the greatest. Without Bird there was no Celtics, without Jordan there were no championships, but the Bulls were still a good team.

  • @lasoogneypubes Completely disagree. And i'm sure DJ, McHale, Parrish, Ainge, and Walton also disagree. The mid 80s celtics teams without Bird are at the very least a playoff team.

  • @NoRegretsForOurYouth Yeah, and Jordan's teams without Pippen aren't even a .500 team, much less a playoff team. MJ has a losing record in all 5 seasons he doesn't play with Pippen. Don't forget Bird took his team from 2nd worst to first his rookie year, WITHOUT Mchale, DJ, Parish, Ainge and Walton. Bird makes those around him better, MJ only makes MJ better.

  • @MerkinMuffly You're a smart guy Merkin, so I'm assuming you know that you're actually counting the Wizards seasons there. And you're okay with that? Also Jordan only played in 18 games during the 85-86, hard to count that losing season on him. Also the talent Bird played with in his rookie season(Cowens,Tiny,Maxwell,Carr, far exceeded that of Michael's(Woolridge.......uh?) I think Larry rejuvenated those guys as much as he made them better. There was nothing to make better on the 85 Bulls.

  • @NoRegretsForOurYouth bird took a team that won only 20 games the year before his rookie and brought them to win 60 games. maybe it exceeded Jordans but to say it FAR exceeded is insane and flat out wrong.

  • @lolzicon Insane and flat out wrong? Wow! By the way it was 29 wins to 61 wins for the Celtics, not 20 to 60.

The talent gap between those two teams is nothing but far, relative to professional basketball if you like, but far. Just compare starting lineups

Whatley - Archibald: big advantage Celtics

Jordan - Ford: huge advantage Bulls

    Woolridge - Maxwell: push

Johnson - Bird: huge advantage Celtics

Corzine - Cowens: big advantage Celtics

And the bench comparison is even more drastic.

  • @MerkinMuffly Come on, brother.

As usual, you make some decent points. But when you state "MJ only makes MJ better" you are coming off as a fucking idiot who knows nothing about basketball.

We both know better than that.

Find a way to give Bird his props WITHOUT having to use your CNN-leftwing spin to twist Jordon into anything less than he clearly was:

    The Greatest Basketball Player EVER.

  • Larry Bird was one of the top three players of his era. That alone makes him a legend.

Who cares if he was 'better' than a couple of other guys? They all had different games, they all brought different strengths.

  • @workouthrd overrated? your guy larry called him "god". I think he's underrated by those standards.

  • lol nice job

  • This video is the perfect example of how brains beats athletics. Bird most likely watched Bulls video to prepare for this game and he quickly covers the weak side knowing MJ isn't smart enough to pass out of the double coverage. Like I always say, that's not John Starks or Karl Malone that you're playing against MJ.... that's Larry Bird and he always knew how to beat you.

  • @workouthrd ...understand these facts...

mike= lost 0 career playoff series with homecourt advantage

bird= lost 7 career playoff series with homecourt advantage

lost the 80 and 82 sixers with homecourt....lost to 83 bucks with homecourt...lost to 85 lakers with homecourt...lost to 88 and 91 pistons with homecourt...lost to 90 knicks with homecourt..

mike lost 7 series in his entire career...bird lost 7 series with homecourt advantage...pretty embarrassing to lose that much to inferior teams

  • @shaqpopcorn34 Bird also swept Michael Jordan both times. The reason Mike hasn't lost a playoff series is he never made it to a playoffs when Bird and the Pistons were around.

  • @workouthrd ..lmaooo...check the bulls record in the yrs they played the celtics in the playoffs...

    bulls= 30-52 record in 86...miked missed 64 games though

bulls= 40-42 record in 87..in other words,it was NO BIG DEAL to beat the bulls back then..sad that bird fans brag about a legitimate #1 seed beating a #8 seed, only in the playoffs due to mike..MANY TEAMS beat the bulls back then, they sucked

while in the nba together, bird had 1 ring to mikes 2..mike wasnt in the nba for celts 81,84 titles

  • WTF is wrong with u little kids mj is the best u may have not seen him play but he was better.Bird was good jordan was the best. look up the best players in NBA history mj will always be #1

  • @mikrevvy That coming from someone that uploads Cartoon Tutorials on youtube, nice one.

  • @MerkinMuffly lmao

  • @MerkinMuffly NIGGA GOT PWNED

  • Michael Jordan is too overrated I hate it, MJ was a basketball legend many other players such as isaiah thomas disliked the way he got famous and went to the all-stars team on his first year in NBA so in conclusion noone passed the ball to him in the all-star games we should atleast give the guy a break I mean just one highlight and that person is famous WTF like tai gibson dunking on dwade you people dont even know the half of what MJ really became famous for....

  • so...anybody who gets blocked is automatically worse than the person who blocked them?

  • @supramano8 That's a hilarious question supraman. Isn't it funny in our society that b-ballers really believe that. They want to get that major swat to feel superior. I am guilty of swinging for the fences when I go to block a shot, but the difference is that I don't think it makes me better than the person (unless I am in all or most aspects). That being said, I love the Bird Man and I'm not sure who was better all around. Most would say Jordan, but if Larry stayed healthy...who knows

  • @supramano8 you said it

  • @MerkinMuffly Too bad he couldn't do more of that when Jordan set a playoff record 63 points against them.

  • @MerkinMuffly thats not true at all

  • Bird realized Parish and McHale had the strong side of the rim. He defended the weak side. Jordan should have passed the ball. He had no shot.

  • I call this video: "What goes up.....must come down"....LOL

  • Congrats, nice block from one of the greats. lol yall boys funny

  • Larry Bird was so much smarter than everyone else on the court its not even funny.

  • great strategy Larry , just wait for him on the other side of the basket and he cant do anything !

  • Hey buddy Sretan Bozic. Great block by Bird. I don't like how I've read people say he wasn't a good defender, he was as good as anyone defensively off the ball, and the only reason he wasn't as great as others defensively "on-the ball" was because he wasn't the most fleet footed guys....it wasn't for lack of trying, he busted his tail.

  • hey pal thanks ,Sretan Bozic i tebi ! Larry was very smart player and his defense was all mental . no doubt that his strenght was his offence but it's thrue that his defense was underrated. i think he was two times in all nba defensive 2nd team !

  • I have part of that game posted on my video Bird schools Jordan , the last play of the game, where bird hits the layup on MJ. Bird must have played through the entire game, torn disc walls in his back and all.

  • I saw it on your new vid. Salutations, btw!

Bird is one tough dude, plain and simple. LOL@ the big hoopla about "his airness" playing with the flu.

  • @MerkinMuffly ..it wasnt a big deal to beat the bulls in the mid-80's.. celtics ousted the bulls in the 86 and 87 playoffs

lakers= 4-0 vs the bulls in 86 and 87...they just didnt play the bulls 6 times a year, plus the playoffs....not a big deal for a #1 seed to beat a team lots of teams can beat

hawks/bucks/sixers= all 5-1 records vs bulls in 86...mavs/lakers/sonics= all 2-0 vs bulls in 86

    hawks were 4-2 vs the 87 bulls.....warriors.rockets,lakers,jazz all 2-0 vs 87 bulls..

    mike over bird

  • rofl

  • Owned by the Slow and Unleaping White Farm Boy

  • let's all see what the worshippers of his majesty has 2 say when they see this merk, AND PLEASE REMEMBER ... i am a diehard mj fan, i just don't suck his dick like many others do

  • same here, more problem with the jockers than mj. MJ always maintained great sportsmanship, even in loses.

  • As usual, Bird playing great team defense, not many blocked Jordan on a reverse.

    Thanks for posting!

  • ur right-on with this post saturndual, this is larry at his best, INTELLIGENT DEFENSE FROM THE TEAM ASPECT, that's what larry was about, offensively & defensively, THE TEAM GAME, we know 1 on 1 how difficult it was 2 guard mj, n his prime nobody could, this is just a clear indication of what the team concept can do against an individual

  • Yeah Cord you can guarantee the Jockers won't congregate here......no "thumbs down" option for them to spam the page with.

  • LMAOFF.....this is getting favourited for sure.
