  • there is nothing wrong with adding a tiny bit of harmless romance, they kissed, its not like they actually started rounding second on screen!

  • well I really thought the kiss was cute:)

susan knew she wouldnt be seeing caspian anymore so heck why shouldnt i just do it was what i think she was thinking or wat the director wanted the audience to think

  • i was alittle shocked that they put a kiss in it only because i don't recall it ever being in the book. but a kiss, that one in particular, really wasn't bad at all. i liked that adam put some romance in the story!... it was cute!.. now, i just wish the whole story would change. i wish Susan stayed in narnia. but i can't changed anything now can it!..lol but it's alright coz Caspian eventually hooks up with Ramandu's daughter in Vovage of The Dawn Treader! woohoo! hope she is a pretty actresss!!

  • you were upset over a kiss? are you kidding me? i thought that was kinda romantic. i wished they were together some more. seriously, a kiss is nothing. yeah, i kinda agree. peter was a jerkface.

  • There is a love scene! I thought is was PG i think it is just a kiss...

  • I was shocked when I saw a snapshot of the kiss. I told my young brother that I would take him to see the movie if he would read all the books with me before. So we just finished them and he's really excited but I wanted him to be able to realize that the movie versions ARE never exactly like the book. The kiss could be a kiss of thanks, but it would have been better if it was on the forehead or something. I would continue this comment, but out of word space :(

  • the kiss is a romantic one its already been revealed

  • the romance between them won't work though, because if they stick to the main parts of the book; this will be the last time Susan and Peter will be able to go to Narnia... long distance relationships aren't that great :D

  • But as Orion901 said, it was probably released to create hype...I really hope it's not bad & that they're just teasing us :(

    Susalus...LOL

    YES!! EdTrumpkin duel!! WOOT!! ^_^

I hope Peter isn't that much of a jerk...but I like the idea of Lucy reminding him of Aslan's victory over the Witch. Being a Christian, it encouragingly points toward the idea that we humans can so easily fall into pride over our accomplishments, and forget who it is that makes accomplishing those tasks possible.

  • Hiya, I found this video by accident. As it turns out, we seem to have the same sentiments about the clips released so far - especially the kiss. It IS really hard to see how it couldn't be bad. Hopefully there will be a happy ending to the journey of the book fans...

  • THEY HAD A SEX SCENE??!!!

  • I think Lucy is probably the most exciting part of this movie. Especially when she reunites with Aslan. Every scene with her in it is so cool. Can't wait to see The Voyage of the Dawn Treader when she's even older.

  • Man, relax until you see the kiss, it was a TV Spot, which is supposed to get people speculating about things, it's a tease. Wait for the film, then pass judgment

  • If I did that, there'd be no point in making any videos, haha. Every video would be exactly the same "I'm gonna wait and see until I give an opinion."

  • I think you need to put urself in the director's shoes. Yeah...put urself in Andrew's shoes.

  • I think I often do that. I put myself in the directors shoes, and say how I think it should be done.

  • 2 Things I've noticed from seeing clips from the movie...

-All the castle raids show Peter, Susan, and Caspian, but where's Edmund. He's a warrior and I don't think he would be left out.

    - When the two armies charge after the duel, Peter doesn't have his shield. I know He has his arm sprained in the duel but I thought he had it with him after when fighting the Telmarines.

  • Edmund is up high on the wall during the raid. Skandar said so when I interviewed him in Prague.

  • Also, it is Miraz who is talking to Edmund, and I think it would be natural to have Miraz make fun of how young Edmund looks. He definitely wouldn't acknowledge Edmund as a king.

  • Well, I understand why you don't want the lords to focus on Edmund's age, but don't you think things may not work in the movie like they do in a book.

I mean, how would you visually communicate that the lords think Edmund looks like a great king?

  • Have faith glumpuddle, I think this movie is going to rock. Yes, the kiss sucks and hopefully they cut it; I wouldn't get my hopes up. But I really think this movie is going to be something else. All the weekend in narnia clips totally rock. Caspian throwing Trufflehunter over his back to save his life....pure gold! The Pevensies meeting Caspian and the Narnian horde in the forest...gold! I was slightly annoyed with Lucy's 'oh my GOSH.' Why not 'by jove' or even 'oh my goodness.' May 16th!!! ahh

  • Yeah, I thought "gosh" sounded a bit out of place.

  • Yeah, I know, however the phrase 'oh my gosh' dates back to the late 1700's, believe it or not, so children in the 1940's as the Pevensies would have indeed actually talked that way. Technically and historically it works, I think it's just the way Georgie delivers it. Regardless, it's a minor quibble that I am sure I'll get over.

  • i love what they're doing with edmund and lucy. its what they're doing with peter and susan that uneases me. i think they're doing their characters backwards. peter should be the warrior dude and susan should be(i can't believe i'm saying this but)more annoying. susan should be less likable. i need to hear her say 'logically' again. as weird as it sounds i don't want to like susan as much as i'm afraid they'll make me. that make sense?

  • Haha, see? The Kiss of Doom is still horrible and has no place in Narnia...but I don't think it'll ruin the whole movie. Good to see that you've cheered up a little. :-)

And oh gosh...the ABC LWW special, with those new scenes of Reepicheep...those were HILLARIOUS. I have a very keen feeling that Reepicheep will be one of the main things that redeems this film from the Kiss of Doom. ;-)

  • Oh my god, you are hilarius!

"Uh, more of susan being a badass...."

    *LOL*

    That line cracks me up.

  • What do you mean by "Reason to Believe"?

  • Hold out hope, its gonna be good.

  • I noticed that in the "Penvensies Journey video" they didn't say ANYTHING about the S/C romance. Maybe there is still hope that it won't be so bad???

  • Glad to see you're still around. You've lost a little bit of spark with the C/S confirmation. I hope you don't mind me being a "devils advocate" with my previous posts. Hang in there. I'm hoping at this point with Susan fighting they will make her an "Eowyn" type if nothing else. Eowyn was still a warrior, but gentle, feminine and vulnerable. Our family loves your videos. I'm glad you're trying to be positive in spite of all the changes to the film.

  • "Reason to believe," oooh, so mysterious!

That picture of Lucy looking up at the stars is so adorable!

I was SO excited to see a shot of Edmund delivering Peter's challenge. I can't wait to see it! It was my favorite part in the book, I guess because it epitomizes for me the return-of-the-ancient-kings-and-queens/myth-becomes-reality thing.

  • Yeah you're right. And yet in the book, Miraz still refuses to admit that the old stories are true even after talking to Edmund.

  • After seeing this video, the two characters I feel the best about are Lucy and Edmund. I mean, I like that they're making Peter learn humility, but they don't have to make him a total jerk. And Susan... well... ugh...

One way to make yourself feel really good about the movie is to watch the old BBC version and think "This new one won't be quite so rushed." (And hopefully better acting, too.)

  • I think I would feel better to simply never watch the BBC versions again, haha.

  • The BBC version of 'Prince Caspian' was horrifying...filth. Although, it does give me a heck of a good laugh. I thought the best one was 'The Silver Chair' Agree?

  • Tom Baker as Puddleglum was magic! He is so awesome.

  • AGREED :)

  • So what's your reason for believeing the kiss won't be as bad as it looked?

  • That would be telling. ;)

  • Is it just a feeling you have? I don't get it? Why can't you tell anyone?

  • So far I've counted three lines from the book that they've put in the movie: the one you mentioned, Lucy saying Edmund's line "It feels like magic" and Peter saying Edmund's line "Girls can't hold a map in their head."

Not too keen on Edmund getting all his lines stolen, though I understand their reasoning for doing so, but I'm glad there are lines from the book at least.

  • I was annoyed they stole Ed's lines too.

  • I suspect those particular lines were given to Lucy and Peter because they want Lucy to be one who's most in touch with the magic and they want Peter to be the jerk (alas). I'm okay with Peter taking Ed's map line because I think they're trying to take away anything that might be construed as mean or old-Edmund-like in order to show that he has truly grown. By this I am greatly encouraged.

  • they have destroyed peters character! they have taken it too fare!!

I liked peter, but this is NOT peter the high king!

and the scene were peter presents himself to trumkin... that was dumb, they made a fool out of him! (not the worst but still...)

Peter from the BBC production, is way more how I imagined him...

  • except that he looked younger than Ed :]

  • trueXD

  • Hahah, Ed did seem to grow more whereas Peter seemed to just... stop... Kind of a short guy, but he had a wise and kingly demeanor.

  • Uh, that was in reference to the BBC Peter and Edmund... lest you are confused.

  • I agree with that... They have destroyed his character... But it started in LWW... They made him very insecure, which he is definitely NOT in the book. The only place that he every shows real doubt in his ability to lead is when Aslan tells him that He will not be at the battle, then Peter worries, but gets back to business right away. But it appears that they have gone much farther this time.

"Emotional battle"... I mean, come on!
