How To Charge Up Your Flip Video Camera

For those that may need to know - when it stops charging from the USB (as frequently happens) you need to put it into the USB without a battery, whilst connected place the battery in the camera, safe exit off the computer and disconnect from computer then connect again to the computer. That way it will charge. Alternatively get yourself some rechargeable batteries.

@WWESVR2O11 The newest Flip ultra HD cannt take photos, but you it does have image stabilization, so you can capture a part of something you recorded, so you can kinda take a picture.

Thanks! Unexpected that you were in the woods. Would have been funny if you had a guy in a bear suit come from offscreen and attack you just when you finished your demo - you drop the Flip on the ground - it remains in-screen - and y the bear pulls you offscreen as he continues to attack you - he's growling as you scream. Maybe some blood splatters on the Flip from offscreen. Would have been funny. Maybe next time, eh?

it depends what type you have. i am not too sure about the mino and slide or the others because i got the ultra hd for christmas. my flip lasts about a few hours though after it is FULLY charged.

@MoonwalkingMichael you have to be using your computer while you are charging it. it wont charge if your computer goes into sleep mode. hope you didnt return it :)

And it said that I still had like 20 min left of video. Do you know how long the AA batteries are suppose to last?

Thank you for this! I COULD NOT get mine to charge and it was driving me crazy. The thing I did not know is that you have to have it turned ON while it is plugged into the USB port. My FLIP is different than yours though and it doesn't have a blinking light. On the screen, however, there is a blinking electricity bolt.

It's the same technique. Some of them go in upside down (depending on your computer) and you don't see the lght but it's there.
