  • What a perfect ending sequence! Strangely enough, I felt emotionally moved when Von Glower is looking at you when he is dying... Moreover the scene between Gabriel and Grace at the end is so cute, I especially love the message delivered in this ending... And the music, oh Robert Holmes you are a genius!

  • @Otageemeur I felt moved by the Von Glower part aswell... but then, I liked him aswell. Was a bit sad. I raged a little when I learned that he's the black wolf. :D

  • @Otageemeur I thought the ending was kinda weak, GK1 had a much better final section and ending. But yeah, incredible game and the best in the series.

  • I'm guessing that this is an adventure game that uses real actors in cut scenes. Damn it looks so rediculous, though I've heard that it's a good game, I wouldn't be able to play it because I would be laughing throughout the entire game :p

  • @demonsangells It's an incredible game. The acting can be, errr, cheesy and hammy lol but it really is an amazing game especially chapter 5.

  • Best adventure game. Period.

  • @sarasmilepiano yeah agreed absolutely loved this game.. story, characters, puzzles (perfect difficulty, the tape splice in particular is genius)... just played it again recently and it's still great. Von Glower has gotta be one of the most charismatic villains ever. Chapter 5 in the cabin was soo atmospheric. But I didn't think the ending was that great, I didnt mind the chase that was ok but this final sequence and cinematic was kinda weak. GK1 had a much better ending and lead up to it

  • @dageezerboi The game was kind of ahead of its time, with FMV and all. I really thought that adventure games like this would be up there with movies as a major form of entertainment. Von Glower was amazing and his sit down with Gabriel is one of my favorite moments in the game. Never quite got into GK1 for some reason (I'm know, I am in the minority here), and GK3 was definitely not as good as the second one, imho.

  • @sarasmilepiano There were only 2 FMV games I liked. This and The Pandora Directive. Both brilliant, all other FMV games should be destroyed on sight most were so awful.

I really liked GK1 but I also found it hard to get into at first. Whereas GK2 had the perfect difficulty of puzzles, GK1 had some frustratingly difficult ones (the writing on the tomb, the clock, the rada drum code). It did have some amazing scenes towards the end of the game though and a pretty good story as well..

  • @dageezerboi Never tried Pandora Directive, but you're right that most FMV games were not very good at the time. One such game, Phantasmagoria, lacked a lot of the things that GK2 had: plot, great acting (and writing), music, engaging puzzles, etc. Sadly, companies such as Sierra are now defunct and adventure gaming (is now a niche market that total sales barely exceeds production costs. The golden age of Sierra-Lucas-Cyan is gone, and I do miss it terribly.

  • @sarasmilepiano I would say the golden age of games in general has long past. There was love and obvious passion put into games in say the late 90s and before and we had companies like Black Isle and Looking Glass and the adventure genre still strong. whereas now its more about the buck and mainstream titles. Hey as long as it looks flashy thats all that matters right..gaming doesn't really interest me these days. Could you imagine say planescape torment being released today. would never happen.

  • @sarasmilepiano also I never did play Phantasmagoria...I always wanted to though just to see if it's so-bad-it's-good. I haven't played Gray Matter yet either but from what I have read it sounds slightly disappointing. Sales wise it has sold 13k worldwide which I guess is why no-one makes these games anymore..

  • Gracy: *stares blankly*

Gabriel: *tries to signal for her to open the furnace*

    Gracy: *stares blankly*

    Gabriel: *tries harder*

    Gracy: *stares blankly*

    *minutes passes*

Gabriel: Open the damn furnace! >:V

  • LOL!!!

  • The actor LOOKS like Gabe Knight but wheres the Cajun accent? the guy could have at least TRIED to go for it.

  • After this scene, Gabriel dyes his hair bright platinum blonde for some reason. Can't really see him doing so.

  • @ErikMartin81 well..he was blonde in the original ;)

  • Ein super Game, ich liebe es :-) Eines der Besten..

  • I imagine I'd have to play the game to appreciate this scene. Without that context, though, it just reminds me of low budget American melodrama.

  • I LOVED this game!!

My dad originally bought it for my mother, but I spent so many hours with this game..

Unfortunately.. watching this video.. I think I remember it being better back then when I was young..

"OHH!! Why didn't I think of putting the tape recorder in the magazine at the hunting club before?!?!?" <<< Had me stuck for WEEKS!!

  • did anyone else find it odd von glower wasn't screaming in pain?

  • it was really one of the best fmv games.

i wanted grace and gabriel to make out at the end, but it's ok

  • heard the gal that played grace did a couple softcore porn movies on showtime, too bad they weren't hardcore, would love to see her take a hot steamy load on the face

  • One of the best FMV games.

I still to this day consider Von Glower to be one of the best video game villains, probably because his motivations are not evil, just his actions are.

  • Very good game. Great music.

    +++

  • who is grace in real life?

  • Joanne Takahashi

  • Are you blind?

  • Grace was hot! Gabriel Knight's voice sucked...

  • Having just finished this game with a friend (yeah, I enjoy playing adventure games in "co-op" mode for some reason... maybe because I'm too dumb to play them only by myself), I'm still surprised by how well-done and tricky the last puzzle is. An admirable amount of effort and thought was put into this game, not to mention a fat budget by that time's standards. Seriously looking forward to play the third game now.

  • thanks to allow me to see the end because i never can't push von glower in flames and it was frustrating a lot lol

  • The BEST game EVER!!! The story is amazing and for the most part true (except the werewolf part)... Funny thing about Dean Ericson (Gabriel). He's doing realestate business and has a gym. He don't want to be assosiated with GK anymore and is a bit tired of people constantly writing to him about it... :)

  • Sorry, i meant an amazing ending. Bad typing there

  • An amazing to an amazing game! lol the first time I watched it though I thought "they're so gonna kiss" it didn't happen though

  • man, GKII looked so good back in the late 90s. it looks cheesy to today's standards but it's STILL a remarkable game. LOVE the series.

  • I played this game when I was a little kid. I had to get a lot of help from my mom, but I did it. I loved that game like you would not believe.

  • I loved all of Gabriel Knight games and am really looking forward to Jane jensens "Gray Matter"

Long live the good old point and click Adventure games!

  • don't worry grace the cops always shoot the black ones. dirty pigs.

  • Why is it on every video on here has racist filth?

No coincidence it is always pre-prepubescent illiterate dickheads at the cause. Nice going; you managed to misspell Mjolnir, a fucking 7 letter word. Enjoy becoming a teenager, kiddo.

  • This end is good.But i didn't like the 3rd game's ending ,Grace left Gabriel =(

  • @proagentv4

    Sigh...

I know it's an old game.

I know it's an old comment.

    But seriously dude.

    Spoiler warning? :P

  • This is my favorite PC game ending EVER! I love Gabriel! Thanks for posting this! :)

  • Yea the 2nd game was so great!

I played it for hours when i was 7.

  • Gk is awesome. Love the series, wish they're make more... Great final scene for beast within.

  • i love this series i has sad and shock that the bad guy was von glower

  • Gabriel Knight and Gracey really belong together. there SERIOUSLY needs to be a part 4!! Where is Jane Jensen when you need her...

  • who is jane jensen??

  • Jane Jensen is the creator of Gabriel Knight.

  • oh,i din't knew that!thanx!i love the games,the 2nd was the best!

  • Jane Jensen really wants to do a four part, she's already got several installments planned, but there's some crap going around with the fact that the game company who owns the rights doesn't want to do more GK games and she can't even write novels about him because she doesn't hold the legal copyright to her work, or something equally stupid. Jane Jensen is not to blame here.

  • This is how game endings should be. Although I still like Sins of the fathers's ending better - There was one where Gabriel survives, and one where he didn't. GK 2's newspaper clipping ending doesn't count.

  • Such a bittersweet ending. Perfectly done!

  • This is the best game in the genre Interactive Movies and this convert it in a masterpice. The others interactive movies sucks. Gabriel Knight Forever!.

  • brilliant ending to an awesome game! best out of the series in my opinion.

  • PLEASE!! Can anyone upload the end of Gabreil Knight 3?????? It is the best ending of all seasons! Thank you

  • Dude, your messed up. THis game is awesome!

  • then do it and stfu

  • ouch...

    didn't like it?

  • lol This one scene always makes me cry...heh. Gotta hate it when a good game ends.
