Hi thanks for watching/commenting. Yeah I'm still training, though I understand missing Japan life I had to return home in 2001 for a couple years too. I kept training but really suck at being my own sensei - the scar on my upper left forearm to reminds me of that! Note to self; keep the elbows in when stabbing the enemy behind you! but back to my dojo here and still got all my moving parts so all is well. Thanks again.
I was a few months away from testing for my shodan when this video was shot - 4dan now and save for any monkey wrenches thrown in the training schedule will test for 5dan in November of this year
How many years id it take to achieve 4th an for you? I'm thinking about checking and iaido and kenjutsu school out (I'm a ninjutsu artist) I have alway had a passion for japanese arts...Arigato
@apparatus20 time, skill and knowledge of the art (e.g. history, lineage, parts of the katana/koshirae, etc for written test portion of dan rank tests) 2-3 years? better stick with the aerospace engineering plan, 10th dan ain't happening, shodan....?? maybe. thx for watching
your moves are kinda dead dude..
the only move is good is the slice cut.. straight.. normal (up to down)
the rest seems dead.. slow, and untrained.
you should train that more.
i know this video is old and maybe you already realize that, but still...

This was a while ago, are you still training?
Your a lucky fellow, unfortunetly i had to come back from japan for family reasons and havnt found the time to go back as yet.
I dont think your forms off that much, then again i found when in the presence of the leading sensei's it can be a bit nerve racking lol.

@caseysan39 Do they give Kyus and Dans by time in the Dojo or by skill?
I mean even the aerospace or the electronics engineering faculty is only 4 years, so Can I be 10Dan in 2 or 3 Years :P?

Clearly you've missed his point. He was referring to your weak tenouchi. :)

HA! thanks for the laugh and watching, but you'd do well to recognize a facetious reply before commenting seriously on it.
