Presenting Obama and McCain as identical is political dishonesty. Obama is pandering to the center in order to win. But he is far more progressive than McCain on the war, healthcare, social security,energy policy, choice. Saying that there is no difference between the Democrats and the Republicans was what infuriated the Democrats most in 2000 and caused the biggest backlash against the Green Party. Promote Cynthia without this lame argument - it only preaches to the converted.

Watch NBC NN for Tues July 15. The technology for smaller engines powered by fuel cells already exists, the high price of gas means US has to use the technology as the electric car that went by the wayside, because no one bought it. Citizens must demand alternative fuels if US wants to energy dependent.

I voted against Bush in the last election, only to feel extreme disappointment and regret for not voting for the candidate that represented me. My views may not be common enough for my candidate to win, but I refuse to do that again. I am voting for Cynthia McKinney in 2008.

I like Cynthia but...

If we had "instant runoff voting" or "proportional representation" then I would be the first to vote 3rd party. The fact is: WE DON'T, and the Powers That Be will never allow it as long as they are in power. McCain would be an unmitigated disaster! Hold your nose if you must but VOTE FOR THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN STOP McCAIN! Also, remember who appoints The Supreme Court when you vote, there is the HUGE and critically important difference between Obama and McCain.

Well, I'll admit to being ignorant about Cynthia McKinney, but her stance on troop withdrawal is one with which I heartily agree.

Now, how exactly is she racist, _cajunhornet60_? I'll do the research, but I'd be interested in your POV, and why you said what you did. Often I find that one person's charge of racism is another's simple unvarnished truth-telling, but again, I'll do some research on the subject.
