this is SUCH a myth.....blank firing doesnt effect the GB. A BB weighs 0.2 grams, which means that the nergy transfer from the bb back onto the air on the piston back onto the gears is so minimal it isnt worth considering!

Hi , this is a A&K M249 right ? and I've read these comments about common defects in the trigger system and jams and stuff.....Can anyone tell me if you can also find these defects in the G&P M249 ?
I just got mine and charged the battery and it shot fine. But when i put the box mag in it can't shoot. Now it does not shoot at all. And with a full charged battery, ive tryed 3 different batterys too.
Probably the tang on the microswitch has been bent to the wrong shape. pull out the gear box and bend it back to the right shape. Or even better, put a decent microswitch in there, the one that comes in it is less than great quality.

Yep. But i recently found out that even though all their airsoft guns are waaaay cheaper than anywhere else, they have a very high shipping rate to the US. so in the end, you'd still end up paying 250 - 280 dollars for it.
i just bought one. i got the mk 1. so i put a 11.1v lipo battery, low resistance deans connectors, a 30 amp fuse, a polycarbonate lightweight piston, new piston head, and a G&P high speed motor. and my saw is shooting around 350 fps. at about 23-25 shots per second. all installed personally. but if u wanna increase r.o.f. without upgrading. just buy a lipo battery. the battery and charger together are like 110$ but its totally worth it. see ya
About the motor, I agree: the stock one doesn't simply fit the gearbox!! (it stays in place but it's too long because it's the only part that's not been cloned from classic army ca249)
The problem is that PARA uses Mini Type , and if you bought a large one you can´t use without a Large Adaptor.Another problem is that that battery on para won´t fit.
I have an excellent rof, and I use a 9.6v. If your not afraid to get into the gearbox, what I did is opened it, cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol, polished the gearbox, then I shimmed it, relubed it, cause that green lube is nasty, then I fixed the compression problem with a new o-ring. It was a simple fix, and my ROF and FPS increased dramatically.

Rubbish: the only part of the gun that could conceivably be damaged is the piston head, because of the supposedly higher speed the piston can move forward. This is of course not correct... otherwise people who run high speed AEGs would continually ruin their pistons the moment they tried firing BBs after setting a gun up (since high speed guns rely on keeping the piston return speed as low as possible).

Nice! With a bit of body work and the appropriate replacement parts you could make this a proper m249 mk46 aeg. (Star and CA are making them atm as I'm sure you already know.) Mind you... if you're going to want to convert back to a mkI/II at any time you won't want to do any major bodywork to it...never mind...forget I said anything... just typing out loud. Nice job! The A&K m249s are unbelievable quality and value for money.
In case you're interested I've got the A&K m249 mkII which I've added a G&P metal barrel heat shield, Proud aluminium trigger base w/trigger, ANGS railed foregrips and an A&K railed para feed tray. Oh, and I painted the gun safety red too :-) I'll tell you it makes a noticeable difference. And just for that touch of authenticity I've got some real inert reloaded 5.56mm rounds with real m27 links...non of this overpriced 'aluminium replica' rubbish. 'Tis VERY tasty!
I'm about to go for the smaller motor box mag for my CA M249p. My stock one kinda sucks and keeps jammin my shit. And to add to that that, the stock box mag may hold my 9.6v 3300 mah and 4800 rounds of wup ass but its to clunky looking. Hows the smaller box motor mag working for you?
Yes , because it has been confirmed that its G36C is better than Marui.Because i have two JG and it hasn´t have any problem and play a lot with them, because the finishes are really good.The only thing i don´t like is that it has plastic body.But they are really good!!
i'm looking at selling my A&K M4 S-system, nothing wrong with it just have my eyes set on another rifle. i would recommend it i run pro and my whole team uses it and have used it for a year now but something else caught my eye
well, it has a 4x32 fidragon scope on it, a 300 round dboys mag and a standard mag with it. everything on it is stock since i'm taking my upgrades out when i get a new gun. if i were you i'd wait alittle bit cause i'm starting a store and waiting for my business license to go through, once that happens i'll get a bunch of gear a jg m4 s-system being one only difference is the fps is higher. i'll have a site up soon as well but we could just talk in private since i'll have gear before i get asite

this happened to my friend
he had a defect on the trigger system
just take out the gear box and on the bottom theres a small flat rod sticking out
take pliers and bend it out about 1/2 an inch
BE FORE doin that check the fuse in case its blown out

Yep. But i recently found out that even though all their airsoft guns are waaaay cheaper than anywhere else, they have a very high shipping rate to the US. so in the end, you'd still end up paying 250 - 280 dollars for it.

i just bought one. i got the mk 1. so i put a 11.1v lipo battery, low resistance deans connectors, a 30 amp fuse, a polycarbonate lightweight piston, new piston head, and a G&P high speed motor. and my saw is shooting around 350 fps. at about 23-25 shots per second. all installed personally. but if u wanna increase r.o.f. without upgrading. just buy a lipo battery. the battery and charger together are like 110$ but its totally worth it. see ya

About the motor, I agree: the stock one doesn't simply fit the gearbox!! (it stays in place but it's too long because it's the only part that's not been cloned from classic army ca249)

The problem is that PARA uses Mini Type , and if you bought a large one you can´t use without a Large Adaptor.Another problem is that that battery on para won´t fit.

I have an excellent rof, and I use a 9.6v. If your not afraid to get into the gearbox, what I did is opened it, cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol, polished the gearbox, then I shimmed it, relubed it, cause that green lube is nasty, then I fixed the compression problem with a new o-ring. It was a simple fix, and my ROF and FPS increased dramatically.

Man if you are doing always yeah you could break the gearbox but if you just do for that there is no problem.I also reinforced the gearbox so no problem at all ¬¬.

Rubbish: the only part of the gun that could conceivably be damaged is the piston head, because of the supposedly higher speed the piston can move forward. This is of course not correct... otherwise people who run high speed AEGs would continually ruin their pistons the moment they tried firing BBs after setting a gun up (since high speed guns rely on keeping the piston return speed as low as possible).

Nice! With a bit of body work and the appropriate replacement parts you could make this a proper m249 mk46 aeg. (Star and CA are making them atm as I'm sure you already know.) Mind you... if you're going to want to convert back to a mkI/II at any time you won't want to do any major bodywork to it...never mind...forget I said anything... just typing out loud. Nice job! The A&K m249s are unbelievable quality and value for money.

In case you're interested I've got the A&K m249 mkII which I've added a G&P metal barrel heat shield, Proud aluminium trigger base w/trigger, ANGS railed foregrips and an A&K railed para feed tray. Oh, and I painted the gun safety red too :-) I'll tell you it makes a noticeable difference. And just for that touch of authenticity I've got some real inert reloaded 5.56mm rounds with real m27 links...non of this overpriced 'aluminium replica' rubbish. 'Tis VERY tasty!

I'm about to go for the smaller motor box mag for my CA M249p. My stock one kinda sucks and keeps jammin my shit. And to add to that that, the stock box mag may hold my 9.6v 3300 mah and 4800 rounds of wup ass but its to clunky looking. Hows the smaller box motor mag working for you?

Well the STAR box mag is like mine but mine (is MAG) can´t hold any battery in there.
And the Mag box mag is real man i don´t have an problem with it.

Yes , because it has been confirmed that its G36C is better than Marui.Because i have two JG and it hasn´t have any problem and play a lot with them, because the finishes are really good.The only thing i don´t like is that it has plastic body.But they are really good!!

well, it has a 4x32 fidragon scope on it, a 300 round dboys mag and a standard mag with it. everything on it is stock since i'm taking my upgrades out when i get a new gun. if i were you i'd wait alittle bit cause i'm starting a store and waiting for my business license to go through, once that happens i'll get a bunch of gear a jg m4 s-system being one only difference is the fps is higher. i'll have a site up soon as well but we could just talk in private since i'll have gear before i get asite
