I think it was the ship. The ship in The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything was designed with a dragon's head. And wasn't the sail purple?? It looked like a kiddie version of Dawn Treader to me.
No, I'm quite certain the sail was not purple. But even if the dragon thing is true, the description on the website says the "more imaginative characters" were inspired by Narnia. I can't think of any characters that seemed Narniaish.
lol! personality traits perhaps? like when the king says something like "There were no mistakes. I made sure you had everything you needed to complete the task. The adventure I call you to may not be easy, but you'll never journey alone. My help is always there."
sounds like the wise king pep talk thing that Aslan does.
Narnia is not allegory. Lewis called them 'suppositions.' But Aslan is Jesus taking the form of a lion in that world, yes. But there's no reason to believe that Phil Vischer was thinking about Aslan the lion when writing the king in Veggie Pirates. I still don't understand why the site says there are characters inspired by VDT.
I am also planning to watch LWW the night before I see Prince Caspian. I think I will do that before each movie comes out. I am just curious as to what order the movies are going to be made after the Dawn Treader.
Well I know thats the order of the books, but if they make them in that order, their ages might be a problem, especially if they do the Last Battle last. I wouldnt make sense to not make it last, but I dont really know whats gonna happen.
Man, maybe you could make videos about the Narnia story itself... even the timeline that Lewis created in the new tie-in insert in the movie book! If you buy it you could tell us more about that in further reviews, also to some opinions of the books or discuss some topis of the books. Keep up the good work, congrats!
Exactly, GlumPuddle. I hate it when people call the Narnia series allegory! I think it's mainly what-ifs with beautiful symbolism.

perhaps the "good king" was modeled after Aslan?

How, exactly? The king was a cucumber.

Sounds like something God would say. ;) That of course is who that guy was supposed to be.

Of course. Aslan and him both. Or at least I beleive so. Do you agree with C.S.Lewis's bible allegory stuff? (i think thats the right spelling)...
