  • i may only be 13 but i still listen to these guys and i remember listening to them with my grandpa.... he unfortunatley died in 2007 and i still miss him thanks for posting this

  • Charlie Gearheart was born in eastern Kentucky, in the Floyd County community of Goose Creek. (south of Martin, KY) This is where he learned to play. He was in high school when he moved to AZ.

  • they actually started in arizona........and goose creek, sc is in low country, down near charleston

  • Was turned on to these guys in the early 70s in the upstate region of SC.They were great then,and they are great now.Would love to see them live.Brings back some really good memories.Those were the GOOD OLD DAYS.

  • These guys used to go fishing in our backyard, I still have this autographed LP. I had forgotten about it all til I saw some groovy bluegrass cover of Guns n Roses.

  • I've always loved em....this was the first one of their songs I heard on the radio back then here in Atlanta...(73?)...I tripped and got stoned to their stuff from then on...still do....no acid these days though.....   • @SinandSatan Dude Goose Creek Is in Floyd County Kentucky Eastern part of the state near Hazard, Prestonsburg, And Pikeville ... That is where Charlie grew up!!!!!

  • I saw "along with Angela" these guys at the Colisum in Macon Ga. 1972 Opening act for, RARE EARTH. Great show, and then off to the Army .

  • Wow ..I saw these guys in the early 70s ..they opened for Don Mcclean..the guy who sang American Pie..memories lol

  • This version of this song was more well-known here in Tennessee than the other one. I think of this group every time I drive past the Goose Creek Inn and Restaurant on I-65 about 30 miles south of Nashville.

  • An old girlfriend back in the early 1970's turned me on to them. This group was my first introduction to Bluegrass music.
