  • is tattooing... painfull???....... what does it feel?

  • The best way to learn to learn is to get a apprenticeship with a tattoo artist that has time , because when I apprenticed he was always busy , but I learned by watching and al the other people , just do it . You have to make your actions count , and just start tattooing . don't sit here listening to this horrible artis

  • DAMN!!! ANYONE LOOKIN AT THIS FOR HELP...DONT... BECOME AN APPRENTICE, LEARN THE RIGHT WAY, THIS GUY WILL ONLY GIVE U ADVICE ON HOW TO BE A CRAPPY TATTOO ARTIST.. THIS GUY IS A JOKE

  • awesome videos! just one thing only if they put them in order.

  • thanx foe the great info :) i just started tatooin check my work :) im new to the game lol

  • also, if you've been tattooing for over 6 years and still can't do a good outline of a Hot Stuff, you probably shouldn't be tattooing.

  • did anyone else realize this asshole wiped down a fresh tat with NO GLOVES and continued playing with the paper towel in his bare hands for the rest of the video. nice cross-contamination prevention, dip-wad.

  • Ozonol !

  • If you have a new tattoo just clean it twice a day with bepanthen cream and wipes hope this helps anyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tattoo goo!!!!

  • thanks man this helps alot post more videos if you can

  • that is a sloppy outline for a professional and speedstick are you kidding me cross contamination all the way your breaking ppls skin then using that on the next persons broken skin dirty use green soap or dettol

  • USE AQUAPHOR NOT VASELINE OR A&D!!!

  • Son of a bitch, I'm over here, in desperate fucking need to learn how to clean my first tattoo & a fucking add pops up.

  • Thank You so much! This helped tremendously! Very well made indeed

  • Vaseline??? Really?!?! Wow dude. Just tattoo and don't give tips because your steering ppl the wrong way. Vaseline is horrible for aftercare.

Aqua-for or bag balm period. Either that or dry healing.

  • Love your vids Jesse great teacher! Gave myself my own tattoo not too long ago and these video's helped me!

  • don't ever wear gloves when you clean off a fresh tattoo...looooburderm

  • I have seen people use Speed stick to apply their stenciles, I don't really recommend it, it's not very sterile, however I know many people that have used it and still use it and never heard of any problems, I personally use green soap, you'll find that your stencile sticks a whole hell of a lot better and won't rub off near as easy.

  • I don't know but I have heard both about vasoline. Some say it's bad some say it's good. I personally have hundreds of tattoos and I have used vasoline to heal them all and they all look great. I also tattoo and I always have my clients use vasoline and no one that I know has ever had problems. Try it, see for yourself I don't see what the big deal is.

  • Great video! I've just bought a kit off eBay for a £10. I've done a tattoo already and got £20! Doubled my money quids in!!!

  • @ramafistfadge really... did it do a good job, was it of quality, or pretty cheap ( btw, was it in canada )

  • i thought it was bad using vaseline on a new tattoo

  • @wolverine1865

If your using gobs of it then yes, as he said you use very little to keep it moisturized a lot can bring the ink up. but using very little wont, I have used his methods, and my tattoo healed perfectly fine, only thing I did not understand I heard plastic wrap should be used for covering up the tattoo for the first 2 hours, he has not mention it.

  • it down. So go make your own videos and then come back and say something.

  • TAKE THIS SHIT FF YOUTUBE, ALL YOUR DOING IS GIVING SOME BULLSHIT FUCKING STEPS TO GIVE SHITTY TATTOOS. UNDER AGED KIDS AND JUST ANYONE IN GENERAL ARE GOING TO SEE THIS AND CAUSE EVEN MORE OUT OF HOUSE TATTOOING. LOOK AT THE COMMENTS, NONE OF THIS SHIT IS SAFE OR STERIL. YOU HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE FUCKING INDUSTRY.

  • he also used a stick of deoderant to apply the stencil...1st no no when it comes to cross contamination. you think he would know that. plus he bagged his machine but did not bag the cord that was hanging all over the client. he didnt bag his greensoap bottle. this guy is hilarious and should rethink his crosscontamination speech!

  • thanks for the tips n thanks for posting ur videos

  • THERE TRYING TO BAN THE SALE OF EQUIPMENT , THIS WILL ONLY HELP HEP C GET PASSED ALONG BY FORCING PEOPLE TO USE DIRTY USED EQUIPMENT!! GO TO *1STDARKNIGHTSLAYER* HOME PAGE AND WATH THE NEWS CLIP . ALL REAL HOME ARTISTS STAND UP AND EMAIL *Thomas.Barraga@suffolkcounty.gov*, TELL HIM ALL PROS STARTED LIKE THIS , AND STOPPING THE SALE OF CLEAN EQUIPMENT WILL ONLY FORCE ARTISTS TO USE DIRTY EQUIPMENT WHICH WILL ONLY HELP HEP GET PASSED ALONG

  • use H2Ocean its really good stuff

  • this guy is a retard!

  • 6 years in the tattoo industry is baby years :')

  • how old do you have to be to get your tattoo license. And if you already know how to draw really good can you free hand an tattoo

  • This is the best what not to do video Ive ever seen

  • DUDE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOUR TALKING ABOUT. YOU DON'T USE VASELINE OR A&D FOR THE HEALING PROCESS. REALLY YOU NEED TO DO MORE RESEARCH.

  • that tattoo is absolute shit! Nice glove less wipe you cross contaminating scab.

  • vaseline pulls out color. aquaphor is the best after care.

  • thanks alot for the tips..im looking to get into the tattoo business and u gave me some great tips.. i do have one question though,,where do u suggest i buy my first tattoo beginners kit?

  • Very helpful thank you!

And as for all of you yelling and getting angry over there, can't we all just get a long, we all have ONE thing in common, we love art/ tattoos.

  • i agree with everyone this guy sucks, but has no one noticed hes wiping the tattoo with no gloves? and then playing with the paper towel

  • you should learn to tattoo before you do a instructional video that tattoo looks like shit

  • @timelesstattoos17 your right he shaded out the outline...

  • FAIL

  • @Headshothorror4488 Dude this guy is no pro. He's what most tattoo artist call a scratcher. First of all take a good look at his line work it's very shaky. Secondly the color on this tattoo is very spotty. Finally he wipes the tattoo one last time ( with no gloves on) and plays with the paper towel while he's finishing the video. No tattoo artist with a proper apprenticeship would every do any of those things. I'm not trying to talk smack but this guy really does not need to be tattooing.

  • Haha what did you expect for 20 dollars

  • @schmendriks FUCKING MORON , learn how to write properly , a question mark is put after asking a question moron !!!!!!!! grammar , learn it

  • This tattoo is horrible...The outline is shaky all over....and blown-out in most spots...and the red is very flat. Not to mention, and im not sure if anyone has pointed this out but it looks like he's tattooing IN HIS LIVINGROOM...IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS CARPET!!!!!!!! why would anyone listen to beginner tattoo tips from a home scratcher...don't listen to anything he has said and don't do anything he has done!!!!! i have been tattooing for about 15 years and this guy's no goooood

  • cant take my eye off the papertowel in his hand after he wiped the tattoo. so nasty.

  • @Mr671yigo I agree....This tattoo is horrible...The outline is shaky all over....and blown-out in most spots...and the red is very flat.

  • @screamingfleatattoos hey dumbass, look in the description.... he OPENED HIS OWN PRIVATE BUSINESS.... no wonder there is carpet...and if you knew anything about watching videos on here.... they're not the best quality as far as picture... so if you believe his lines are fucked.... then you should consult and eye docter.

  • @Mossekko you need the eye doctor ,have a close look at top of devils head LOL

  • not a good video to teach beginning tattoo artist how to tattoo or to care for them after finished. the outline was very shaky , and the color was way to flat. multiple colors should have been used. such as a black Cherry for darker areas and so that the red could blend into, also a midnight blue for the light blue. as for the white goes if someone doesnt know how to pack that white in i see that white fading or someone damaging some skin.

  • any shop that would let him work there is a shop no one wants to visit !!!! been tatting for almost 30 years this guy is baddddd !!

  • vasoline is a not !!! use a&d first day then let heal !! vasaline is petrol oil fools !!

  • the outline is badly done!!

  • @bullgod86 Aquaphor only has four ingredients, as for Vaseline having more than 10 ingredients such as Cetyl Alcohol, and Stearic acid known to remove colour because of their compounds.

  • @1Plus1EqualsThree yes my i used vaseline on a tattoo once and it took some of the lining color and someof the shades out... not really bad id say but it does take color out... i only used it twice and i did that cause i was young and didnt know much bout tattoos figured i needed somethin to heal... now im older and know it was a bad decision... better left healing dry than vaseline...

  • that outline is nasty.. not neat at all.. :/

  • he said three and put up 4 fingers :56

  • he said three and put up 4 fingers 00:56

  • Don't use vaseline for aftercare, it takes out some of the colour. Use Aquaphor, you can get it at the pharmacy.

  • @bullgod86 i know what the ingredients are. Vaseline can be used but should be used in a small amount during a shower. Vaseline is known to pull out some of the colour. So you should do more research, and everyone take my suggestion to use Aquaphor.

~I have alot of tattoo's and been in the tattoo business for 6 years

  • Thanks This is very helpful..

  • u guys rock! thanks so much !

  • hey bro dont make a tattoo

  • i was taught that baby-oil for 3 days ws best. what does any one else think?

  • @yersisterlovesme vitamin E cream for 2 weeks

  • @yersisterlovesme savlon cream :P worked great for my tats did them myself on my feet and im 16 :) cheerin bruzz

  • Helpful, Thanks

  • thanx man that helpd !

  • That outline looks like straight shit

  • DO NOT USE VASELINE!

  • @parisianskies002 why not?

  • @Tweetz91 Because it's oil and grease. and it can clog up the pores, suffocating the tattoo, & prolonging healing process.

  • thankyou bro

  • @indiana360..simple work a regular job,get your customers to come in a five day period, phone in work tell em your sick for that week! Simple : )

  • Great vids...I usually use "Polysporin" a few hours after I get my tattoo done then use "Glaxol base" on my tattoos until it heals. Works great!

  • jesse bradley your wonderful !!! thanks for all you have showed me i am a beginning and i have you to thank for getting me started ty a million ...

  • don't listen to this guy, expertvillage is bullshit

  • Thanks man... I draw pretty well & have been thinking about this for some time. I just wonder if I could practice on myself first and then move on from there. I'm not saying I will just pick up a gun & be god, I'm just wondering if an apprenticeship is really required. I mean, whoever started this didn't learn from anyone. Cool devil by the way.

  • I'm thinking he washed up before hand..also you have to take into context that he is doing a video. He probably had already did his normal thing but for the video wanted to stand there and show the wipe.

  • hi can u use water insted on wash for making shades

  • @willber1971 I have seen water used to make shades with grey wash but it was distilled water.

  • YO thanks dude great tatt man teacher..

  • Thank you man, I really appreciate the tips!!!!

  • just wanna say thanks for them tips alot of people usualy dont take the time and for the beginers this is really cool

  • is he a dwarf?

  • you're proud for this outline ???? all right ....

and, put some gloves on .... come on you're really out of your mind .... and when you wear gloves (outline video), don't touch uncover things ....

for the tattoo effect ... no commend at all !!!!!

  • I love how he wipes it off with no gloves, then proceeds to cumble up the contaminated paper towel in his bare hand. GET A FUCKXNG APPRENTICESHIP you SCRATCHER!

  • wow.........

  • I would really love to become a reputable tattoo artist, and I've been researching into this for years. My only concern is I'm not going to be able to support my family and myself on an artist's salary.

  • His lining is horrible!!

  • Comment removed

  • the biggest idiot on the video is the guy that got that stupid tattoo wth is that a baby on his shoulder

  • it healed up looking like shit

  • thanks for the info

  • why do idiots repeat each others wanky comments find something new sheep. Cheers for your time Bud respect to that!

  • is that man talking retarted?

  • dude you forgot to put the tail on the thing!!!!!

  • vaseline pulls your ink out.

  • we need more teachers thnx dude i try and there are so many haters don't mind them

  • I LIKE THIS VIDEO AND GUY IN IT. STRAIGHT FORWARD. THANK YOU JESSE BRADLEY AND EXPERT VILLAGE

  • Very informative video. Thanks, mate!

  • I like this guy. I think it gives you some knowledge and terms that you may need when you go into apprenticeships, so you don't seem completely stupid about it. I think he explains how to do it very well. plus they make videos to get business just like a commercial and to give you confidence in their shop!

  • polysporin works the best with saran wrap over it for the first 24 hours, all mine were 75% healed in 3-4 days and are still dark

  • quit hating people...seriously...he's jus trying to help and i think he did a great job i learned alot from him and its good to get different opinions from different tattoo artists.i found his videos easy to understand especially when he does a visual tattoo on a willing person.

  • Then of course what everyone is saying. yes Huge cross contamination!!! Not to want to be an asshole, but yeah, still got alot to learn. Maybe the guy dicked you on your apprenticeship. Take a Blood-borne Pathogens class. This is a very VERY dirty trade. Dont be the guy contaminating. Continue education if you want to go anywhere.....Use mags for crying out loud, Dont cross hatch...That is called scratching. Learn a bit more for all these people watching you. Teach them the right way.

  • Ok. so maybe its cool to watch videos to learn technique. It is hard to get anywhere to learn. Alot of great artist had to learn on their own. BUT, if your teaching tattooing you should know enough to teach. Otherwise its blind leading blind. Most videos or books I get cost money. Pay to learn. And its worth it. There are some good tips on youtube... I've seen a couple. But As we all did, do the footwork yourself. learn theory. Learn, learn, then apprentice. Get an artwork portfolio...search.

  • thanx for the vids mate

  • Thank you for the vids. I learned tons from your videos. The instruction is very clear and easy to follow. I live in a rural area so an apprenticeship is not an option so I depend on the vids.

  • i have a friend that tattoes and he said he might help me learn i have 3 and ive draw the other ones i want! this video was super helpfull thanks for ur interest in helping people like me that wanna learn .. since theres no school to learn it super hard.. have a good one

  • @TheThefugitive I agree man. I bought a decent starter kit. Touched nothing but my leg, practice skin and my friends leg as a touch up to get used to the needles/machine itself. I love how people preach "You need experience" but you can't get experience when nobody offers you it ahaha.

  • wow this guy is wiping him without gloves , hes still using speedstick, his squeaze bottle isnt bagged, and his line work is horrible....

  • was into it till vaseline.... should never put vaseline on a tat

  • this guy is great evrone and knows his stuff his videos are really helpfull so anyone that says diffrent f--- off

  • i have a question i have done some really nice artwork on my leg the next day it seems to of raised up is that because its a new tattoo only done yesterday. will it go down as it heels. also i just want to say you are a verry helpfull guy and want to say thankyou for youre other videos

  • @ianandhyde- Yeah man, it'll scab, just remember to disenfect it man three times a day. I do it when I wake up, dinner, and before I go to bed. Keep doing that for two weeks.

  • thanks alot jesse ur info really does help and the most important think is safety

  • Because It costs money to get a good apprenticeship. Any where from 5,000 and up.. and you know EVERYONE CAN NOT BE A TATTOO ARTIST. It is not a job. It is an ART FORM If you are not an artist like this guy, STOP TATTOOING.. Artists become Tattooists. So back off. leave the tattooing to the real artists. Bob Tyrrell, Roman Abrego, Victor Portugel, Nikko Hurtado, Kerrie Rosenbaum, Taylor Cort,

Dan henk, Horyiu, <-- check those people out and then say leave the scratchers alone.your all idiots.

  • well to much hating but 4 me tis guy is amazing thanks for teaching us apreciate

  • am gettting love in japanese on friday on my hip how bad does it hurt? should i do anything beforee i get the tattoo?or during?

  • I really wonder what goes through peoples heads when they pick out what they want to get tattooed....

  • not too bad series of vids.... guy is kind of a dope tho lol..... for one you should never put PLASTIC on a fresh tat.... it needs to breath and plastic will not allow it and it will not heal correctly if left on too long

  • @kruxdelacroix ya, but its only supposed to be on till you get home, so the shop isnt liable if something happens to it... i dont know what could happen, lol, but thats what my friend said, and he works at his dads shop

  • Thanks for posting, much appreciated :)

  • Thank you for the video , and for leading the way into a solid future for tattoo artists that would like a crack at trying their hand at something they enjoy.

  • Aquaphor works better!

  • GRACIAS AMIGO.

    TAKE CARE.

  • thanks dude.

  • What do you think of using coconut oil or olive oil as a lubricant for the first few days, instead of petroleum jelly, or A&D ointment?

  • your videos helped me understand a lot more about a kit n the whole process of tattooing. thank you so much for sharing!!

  • Excellent Job with the tut and I think you are hot :p

I have learnt a lot from your videos thank you so very much for sharing your work.

  • @outrageousauto sometimes people dont have the money to learn from a pro ya there are some junk on youtube that should not be here but i learned out of my house and still tat out of my house i think my work is fair check it out ''guam tattoos underground style part 1,2,3,4,5,6 and guan tattoo designs people need to learn somehow..

  • yea some people dont have the money but as in any trade you have to pay your dues if you dont have the money to do a proper apprenticeship then you def. don't have the money for the proper supplies so your saying if someone wanted to be a plastic surgent and they didn't have the money they should learn out of there house!!!!!

  • if someone loves the art they gotta do what they gotta do. i dont like that there are people trying to teach how to tag on here that dont know what their doing or saying. but thats just how things go. what can we do?

  • @outrageousauto I thinkits ok for people to learn on there own as long as they respect the skin and do a good job xx ie .. using clean needles ect xx they dont have all the sanitisers in the jungle !! lol xxx

  • always gonna get jealous negative people, thats good advice for a begginer,at least hes trying to make sure that "if you are going to give it a go"you"ll be doing it clean and safe job.

  • good advice for begginers i thought, ive used those technics on simple tatts and they work well, your always gonna get jealous twats on here though so its no surprise to see negative comments.

  • Different things work better for different people. I've used the Vaseline technique, i've dry healed, and I've done lubriderm. I now use either bacitracyn or aquaphor. Both work great. I prefer the bacitracyn to anything else, though.

  • NO VALES VERRRRRRRRRGA COMPADRE!!!

  • Comment removed

  • word dude. very well said.

  • is that a ultra sonic i see on his work station? tsk tsk tsk

  • forget the vaseline ..or the A and D the only thing that does is prevent scarring and if you did a good job you wouldnt worry about that anyhow use regular no additive hand lotion trust me.

  • yeah he did a good job but some parts with the black were blotchy

  • his lines are to thick wrong size of needle shading to patchy

  • CRAPPP!!!!!!!!

  • god love the stupid...i wanna b like this guy...lol..i wonder wat he thinks after watching his own video

  • Take it your eyesights not too good then...lol

  • Anyone who has eyes can see theres nothing wrong with this tattoo.

  • what are you talking about maybe not bad for a scratcher

  • dude wtf man the outline and no gloves

  • not wearing gloves much? alright dude have fun getting aids.

  • just for the record selfo can you prove you do tats , cause i dont think you do.

the guy is just helping out, you dont open a new tub off vasaline for every tat you give ??

  • cross contamanation no gloves

  • Comment removed

  • Some good info. Not a pro though. Be an apprntice to learn the right way. To all the haters...I've had numerous tattoos by numerous "pros" each one having different opionion. What works best for me is "aguaphor" or just plain unscnted lotion as often as you think about it and as long as needed. I do tattoos on myself and that has worked best for me.

  • not close to a pro but i do agree i have a cust. i have done a full black and grey sleeve and he used aquaphor and it healed up in 3-4 days

  • The outline looks like shit, the top of its head is not even in.

  • hi i did my first tattoo yesterday a small star on my wrist can i put baby lotion on it is sting a little bit can i put oitment

  • no you do not want baby lotion or any form of oil on there just apply a little vaseline or Bepanthem.

  • every video this guy has made is full of hate preaching know it alls from so called proffesional artists, may i just ask - if his videos bother you so much, and you believe he is teaching so many scratchers how to fuck up further - then step up and make your own video's - i mean as pro's with busy shops why are you sitting commenting on all these video's? if youve got so much time on your hands put up some of your own work!

  • i really don't understand where you guys are coming from with all the hate.. i think he is a good looking clean cut gentleman doing some much needed internet knowledge that should lead to many new tattooists having the confidence to fuck up people other than their deserving friends. keep up, fuckin up hope this video is your ticket to tattoo-fame!

  • DICK RIDER !
