I bought my flip cam last year, Then afew days ago my computer stopped detecting the hardware and wouldn't work. I called tech support and they had me trying tons of different methods of fixing the problem. Then they say some fatal error has happened and they were sorry. They said unfortunatly the 1 year warranty was up but they could sell me another for the cheap price of $99.99.. . Go figure. lol,, I said no thank you... I use to love flip, but now i hate the sob.

@DolittleMccoy yeah they are going down the drain, sucks used to be a great product. I bought a newer version about a year ago with built in battery, it sucks, runs out so fast. I still have my old one and use that more than the new one.

Great video, it shows the same problem that I have, my camera only worked well for about 8 days, after that I can only record up to 12 seconds of video before the flip freezes. And as you said, imagine how many thousands of people got these cameras and they just don't work, these cameras should be removed from all the stores. The tech support gave me the same fool answers (is the battery fully charged, take the battery pack out and leave it for 72 hours, etc etc etc) nothing worked

I was able to purchase a Flip Video Replacement Lens on eBay for $15 bucks & free shipping. Installation was easy to do and saved me $200 from buying a new Flip.

I love this video! My Flip has been driving me crazy, and I figured out about the batteries. Still, I love everything you said - especially about the car crash and the camera not turning on! I had bulldozers show up in my yard & it wouldn't record!!!

Because the product is shite!!!really it is,cheap parts cheap feel it should cost 50 bucks,its a joke.Stay away from flip,they know about these issues and the sheeple keep buying them.

OMFG. I bought mine TODAYYY! and I get it home and itz all great and good and happy, and then I dropped it on a SOFT serfice, and now it wont turn on -.- FML.

Seriously no one figured out how to fix this shit on our own yet, mine died 2 days after warrenty expired same shit. Took battery out and it worked like once, now nothing but the record light blinks. Flip Ultra needs to be recalled and these fixed for free even if warrentie is expired this is B.S.

Mine won't charge. Nor is there a reset. Flip tech support told me to take the battery out, wait 3 days, which resets it. I have another day to wait.

Clicksmarter: I was told the same thing, but when I received the item, it did not have batteries in it, and it took more than 3 days to arrive, so theoretically, wasn't it in "reset mode" already? I have 3 days to wait. Let me know what happens with yours please.
