  • That guy must be Italian.

  • is that thom po from the movie kickboxer?

  • OMG a ginger! Quick kill it with FIRE!

  • Dats one big ass ginger

  • Miv, miv, miv?? What a whiner...

  • Kill the ginger

  • Asian passerby - Epic haircut bro!

  • Ginger have no soul~~~~! There you go! Ginger have no soul.

  • (with hand grasped around arm) I'm not even touching you

  • You can hear that the kid was hurting before he knew the camera was on him. The cop had a wrist lock on him, it looked like the one they teach in Sambo. (a Russian special forces hand to hand technique) Grab the wrist and bend it back as you twist and pull up on the arm, hyper extending the elbow. With just a couple pounds of pressure you imobilize the person a couple more pounds numbing pain the length of the arm a couple more. torn ligaments dislocated elbow and or shoulder. Very effective.

  • And yet the suspect still would not put his other hand behind his back like the officer was saying.

  • lol you honestly cant fuck with that cop

honestly would not want to be on the receiving end of a back-hander lol

  • that guy saw the camera and started squeeking... lol

  • fucking goof cop ginger no soul skid

  • Two kinds of people in this world that you can't trust: Gingers and cops.

  • Imagine a world without police, now imagine the Vancouver riots....

  • Haha, what an idiot. One should break his jaws.

  • Lol at these East Indians.

  • For walking across a fuckin street? Apparently this cop has never visited Downtown Vancouver - I guess Broadway is where all the high-class hoity-toities live, gotta keep these scum off the streets

  • lmao at the end "YOUR BENDING IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" "wtf dude I'm not even touching you"

and then the guy moves in to tell him he's an idiot.

  • come on! the guy looks over to the camera notes its being filmed and he has an audience and then makes a big dramatic move and moan but the cop is barely holding him, he isnt showiing any frustration or anger toward the guy or indicate he is out of control or abusing power...give me a break! there is REAL police brutality going on out there. There is no need to blow every single move every single cop makes out of proportion.

  • Nothing but respect for the VPD. These guys clean the streets of filth like that.

  • Not surprised, gingers don't have souls

  • Typical police brutality.

  • @WigglyWatch < By law, a PO may arrest and citizen suppose to comply with the arrest. Canadian cops are at the top due to their good training and respect for everyone's civil liberty.

  • @Zeno1999 Obviously, you live in a bubble and never dealt with them before.

  • @WigglyWatch < I've dealt with them few times and I find that "respect given was also returned equally" but I hope your past experience doesn't dictate your future.

Policing large cities is a tough job and someone have to do it; I think, Canada is among few countries where police training is as good as it gets.

  • @Zeno1999 Hey, that's your opinion. Can't say I agree.

  • @WigglyWatch < Opinions based on experiences - exactly opposite ones. One negative, one positive, that means neutral.

I think many people take their frustrations on cops as they think they protect those who're creating bad economy and oppression in the world today. Positive changes happen over time, patience is needed. But you keep your "wiggly watch" glasses ON, as society needs every one :)

It would be nice to have instant poll on such issues - tell UT to have more input buttons.

  • The cops destroyed BOTH my rotator cuffs, back in the '70s (my crime was being intoxicated in a public place). I've had pain in my shoulders ever since; plus 3 surgeries. Fuck 'em all!

  • @RandyBful1 < I'm pretty sure, your lack of exercise and bad habits done worse damage to your body.

I've had joint dislocation several times in martial arts sparring but I healed my injuries with proper disciplined approach rather than acting like a victim seeking compensation and hospital help.

  • @Zeno1999: I'm over 60 now and I still work out more than most 20 year olds. I hit the gym three times a week, running a mile or two after each workout and cycle at least 100 miles per week. I eat nothing but "real" food...so why don't you STFU with your assumptions!

  • @RandyBful1 i enjoy how you feel the need to prove yourself over youtube

  • @RandyBful1 1) The '70s were a different time, not comparable to today, and being more forceful was normal back then. 2) You admit you were so drunk that the cops noticed. Who knows what else you did that you don't remember, or are not saying. 3) Guess what happens when you commit a crime? It's called consequences.

  • Is that ERT or K9 unit? His arm patch is tinted.

  • thes types of holds are designed to scare US, so we always do anything they tell us too, look up the definition of the word liberty, then make your comments. I personally know for a fact God wants all men to be free from assult, and this is clearly assult.

  • whats this a bully with a gun?

  • @bezmoth or just stay out of our city and you won't have to worry about it

  • Comment removed

  • @highteky We KNOW you are a moron. Learn to English.. "new" or "knew." Herp derp.

  • that looks like its outside the metro in the east side lol

  • people need to learn the art of "Criminal" dude if one cop come up to you and is fucking with one of your friends, knock his ass out and, steal his shit and flee the scene....That cop will NEVER live that down.

  • @xBloodXGusherx im going to come to your workplace knock you out and wait for you to wake up and knock you out again just beacause of your comment. People like you deserve the Rodney king treatment when being arrested

  • Yeah haha he looks Italian.

  • lol the cop is epic i love the way he stay calm all cops should be like him thumbs up if u agree

  • owww my arm! What's your problem, i'm not touching you there". lol

  • great acting!! just like a soccer player!!!

  • That cop is hot:)

  • I know the asian guy LOL. Thats by the Mountain Equipment Co-op.

  • @04smallmj

Explain to me, where in this video, does it say he was arrested for jay walking? Or was that just a immature comment?

  • Arrested for jaywalking? Only in.... Canada.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL. you should see what happens when he soap in his eyes...

  • his friend should get arrested for that haircut!

  • Stupid bitch lmao

  • I jaywalk all the time, and I never get stopped by the police for it: I'm white.

  • I didn't know Conan O'brien was a cop, lol

  • He was thrown in cuffs for "jaywalking"? Yeah right.

  • canada lol

  • If all police had cameras on their thousand dollar "bat-belts" this wouldn't be a problem. The problem is cops are terrified of being on film for their entire shift. Some even disable their DASHBOARD cams!

  • That cop handled himself really well, I think.

  • damn that a big canadian

  • @CuteChick344 Most cops don't care, they usually get you when you're doing it on a busy road though.

  • The guy needs to man up, what a pussy.

  • biggest damn ginger!

  • Some people are such pussies.

  • stupid hippies and there police brutality. jesus relive kindergarten and see if the 4 year olds even cry about it. i dont get people dont comply so it doesnt evan happen to them in teh first place.

  • LOL that guy getting cuffed is such a bitch the cop wasn't even doing anything, but watch people will watch this and start with the whole "all cops are assholes" shit.

  • This is the result of getting into a yelling match with a police officer. The cop was probably just warning them not to jaywalk and the handcuffed guy decided to get a mouthy. I would of applied a bit more pressure to get some more squeals out of this guy.

  • ACAB

  • The guy being handcuffed deserves an award for that dramatic act.

  • @MikeLowreyRules LOL perhaps ;)

  • @bulletproofcourier the cop yanked the man's arm behind his back so that it came right out of its socket.

  • I'm white and POOR AND live in the DTES, so I CAN get beat the shit out of for JAYWALKING. I have no priors and NO criminal record. No record of any kind. Only I am POOR and LIVE in the DTES. White people who live in the DTES who are not drug addicts or criminals are call "LUNATICS" by the VPDogs. The VPDOgs want me libeled and slandered like that so that you won't believe the truth I tell about them.

  • @MsTerriYes One of those truths is that there are a segment of cops who are bad. They are generally the ones who have been around the longest. They suck the rookies in by taking them to a brothel in the DTES and letting them sample the wares. That way the bad cops have the goods on the rookies and then it isn't long before the rookies are joining in on the criminal activities that dominate with the older cops. True.

  • @MsTerriYes Which leads, eventually, to the conclusion that perhaps it is true that the chief is protecting relatives who are the biggest importers of heroin, n'est pas?

  • If you ignore the shipping containers full of heroin, then bust all the penny-anti dealers that sell at Main & Hastings, rob them of goods and money, well hell that kind of business arrangement could go on forever.... RIGHT?

  • Man wouldn't it be good if a group of concerned citizens got together and spied, tailed and ratted on the cops? You know the kind of people who want to have a GOOD police force and have learn to DISTRUST the one that exists? A group of people like that armed with evidence could change the course of this gang ridden area. You'd think the cops would stop the flow of heroin at the dockyard, not five blocks away.

  • @MsTerriYes instead of ranting on here, why don't you take your hate of one of the world's best police departments somewhere else and try your plan to expose all these supposedly corrupt cops... good luck. Any organization will never please everyone all the time but I think most of us around here generally support our local blue.

  • @MikeLowreyRules "I think most of us around here generally support our local blue."

that really depends on what neighbourhood you live in. I've certainly seen cops do things that they shouldn't have, many times. Cops act differently on different streets, so different neighbourhoods have vastly differing opinions. You may speak for your neighbourhood but not mine.

  • @MikeLowreyRules - I doubt YOU know what you are talking about. You seem to come from a different world other than the one everyone else lives in in Vancouver. Your theory about how "well respected" the cops of Vancouver have made themselves.... truly belongs on Mars from where it came. Have a safe and happy trip back home.

  • For the rest of us in the real world, we KNOW VPD have a lot of bad cops on the force. It's what Jim Chu does about it that we are ALL waiting to see. He ain't done nothing yet, except allow for the death of Michael Vann Hubbard (poor, homeless man gunned down and guilty of being on an Olympic Street) among others. There's the drug dealing cops and the ones who assault cripples. And you say you are PROUD of that? Go Back to Mars MikeLowreyRules. I am ashamed of you.

  • @MsTerriYes I have a view that most cops do a fine job that is never broadcast. You have a view that the small percentage of problems involving cops that the media blows out of proportion is the norm. You list one shooting, one cop dealing drugs and one cop pushing someone. Three incidents. How many people do you think appreciate a cop each day but we never hear about? A lot more than three. You tell me to go back to Mars, why don't you go back to grade school and learn to count.

  • @MikeLowreyRules - Didn't the white bigots of Mississippi use that same line on "their slaves"? Sorry pal, do you homework. Cops ignored thousands of leads in the Pickton case. Cops cannot be THAT ignorant and still be GOOD cops. It is scientifically impossible.

  • @MsTerriYes That's awesome it took you two months to come up with that rubbish. The best thing about Canada is that it's a free country. If you don't like it here, you're free to leave.

  • @MikeLowreyRules - Sigh, it is a free country. You are free to spout your racist rubbish. I am free to speak the truth. Great place isn't it? There ARE good cops on the force and the are the ones who should be busy busting the BAD cops who ARE also on force. Then the public can once again have trust in the Police. Good cops can do a better job if there is an independent investigative team to look into complaints & charges against police. Time is coming soon.

  • @MsTerriYes The truth as you see it. I think if you looked at the bigger picture you might be surprised that police in Canada aren't like the American tv cops where there's always a bad one (or two, or however many). The odd one who makes a mistake that is sensationalized in the media doesn't make them "bad". But since I'm sure you'll agree to disagree, go ahead and have the last word in this free country that allows you to believe whatever you want.

  • @MsTerriYes DON'T get caught with pants down.

  • Comment removed

  • @MikeLowreyRules yes he does sounds like a torture chamber

  • what's up with the dirtbag bystander in the skullet?

  • @scottjuly79 The other person in the video is the suspect's friend.

  • The ginger blokes HUGE!

  • @bloodshot16 LOL "What's your problem, I didn't touch you."

  • did he steal something or what?

  • @zach00attack I learned later this was regarding a jaywalking infraction.

  • @zach00attack He tried to jaywalk across Broadway while the cop was watching.

  • @bulletproofcourier OMG! I'm not gonna jaywalk in Vancouver EVER again!! Had no idea you can end up like THAT))))

  • @bulletproofcourier It is true that the VPDogs can murder you for JAYWALKING and the OPCC LET'S them get away with murder. "WAY.... beyond the call"

  • @bulletproofcourier all this just for jaywalking?!

  • @bulletproofcourier Im curious how you know that. The beginning of your film it seems like you saw a cop and the guy already arrested and you ran down to film.

  • Gingers have no soul LOL j/k

  • @P3RSIANpinoy This is what really happened: The VPD officer was waiting outside the doors of Mountain Equipment Co-op a few minutes before opening time when he observed two men standing in the curb lane of Broadway, waiting for a chance to jaywalk across the 6-lane avenue.

A yelling match ensued between one "suspect" and the officer, resulting in the arm-twisting scene seen here.

  • These types of things and holds are meant to cause discomfort if the perp tries to resist.

And it's very common for people resisting arrest to make excuses about previous injuries, mostly lies.

People whine too much, ask anyone that knows... it realistically takes 4-6 people to restrain a single person - but when the public sees a group of police officers pinning someone to the ground/sitting on them they cry brutality (holding someone head on the ground is safer, than them banging it around).

  • @drsquirrel0 Thank you for your opinion on this.

  • @drsquirrel0 Yep, I agree. It definitely prevents people from resisting. It doesn't look like much, but if you get someone in a wrist lock, all it takes is a little bit of pressure and an angle and you've got massive amounts of discomfort and potential highway to pain ONLY if necessary to subdue someone. It's just letting the person know to take things seriously

  • @drsquirrel0 I work in security and bounceing, I know how all that works. Holding a head on the ground or floor is much better the letting it get beat around. in the bar where I work three people to walk some one to the door.

  • @drsquirrel0 so how would you spin a case where a young man with no record (you'd still call him a "perp" i guess) is shot in the back of the head while handcuffed in a holding cell?

  • @dougmackenzie420 I would call it an unrelevant reply.

  • VPD Officer to suspect: "Relax your arm and you will not be in pain."
