Idk what drug ur on, but i own a 02 jetta gls 1.8T, with a fully upgraded turbo, full intake system, blow off valve, front mounted inner coolers, wider turbo inlet pipes and a cat back exhaust, with an ECU and some body work done such as headlights tail lights, rims , body kit, underglow, lowering springs and a carbon fiber hood...and its the best car iv ever owned, civics are gay and riced out to the max, i smoke most common street legal cars around
@xXWeltchXx hahaha unless u have money to spend...i would suggest dont get a JETTA...ive been through around 12cars...the worst cars that ive had are JETTAS...specially the 1.8t auto tiptronic...do your carfax before u buy anything...u cant find parts anywhere...the oil change is expensive...the coolant is $50 unlike regular $20..the mechanics charge u x2 or x3 for a stupid repair...AUDI and VW come expensive...nothing like a reliable Camry or Civic..Ghettosishh but MONEY SAVERS
@vdubjetta02 Well........ Indeed, you point out exactly why I made the comment I did... The video description says cat back, and mentions a race cat... So, pardon my confusion xD
@TheWaxima If I remember correctly I had a Front mount intercooler, cold air intake, hyperboost DV, Turbo inlet pipe, APR tune (V-tune) around 22 PSI, This turboback, Coilovers ect....
I cut out the first 2 feet of my trunk's spear tire compartment to run duel exhaust from the muffler. and now that i got the whole system done i can install. i'll post a video in the nxt month and give the props for the help so watch for that.
now the 42dd dp i got is the street one that comes w/ the magnaflow high flow-cat already welded on. did you do the same?
go VW baby... no car out there has the style of a vw... or the potential that EVERY vehicle vw made... i'm nate out of NY... proud owner of 3 vw.. mk1 3 and 4. nice dub brother! ata boy
i NEEED to know the part number to this muffler. i just bought the 42dd 3"dp and high flow cat. i just today fell on this video and this is THE closest sounding muffler to catch that r32 flapper open growl. I have a 05 mk4 GLI thats 2kmi shy of clockn 70k.. h&r adj CO's. belly motorsports dv... 3" CAI.. some shittty tune from the owner b4 me... and now i'm onto the exhaust.. Your a life saver find'n such a PERFECT sound like that out of an american muffler
@9stevo2 It did not drone, but there is a constant tone to the exhaust.... Which is what I wanted. I wanted to be driving down the street and my car have a deep tone to it
hey man sounds so sick!! i just have a few questions before i order mine. did you get this full exhaust system off the 42 draft designs website? the 3" custom magnaflow catback where did you get that?
@Skatew1th1t I bought the 3" downpipe from 42 DD. At the time they were still developing the catback, but I knew they were using a magnaflow muffler. So I bought a 3" in/out magnaflow muffler and had a muffler shop custom pipe the 3" from the downpipe to the muffler.
im looking for a new sporty car that's affordable any ideas ? is the jetta a good car and what aftermarket parts are available is it better than the civic si ?
@DragonInfraXtremeRGT A jetta is much better than a SI civic due to the turbo and tuneability. If you can afford a Jetta turbo or a GTI turbo, buy one.... I just sold my stage 2 wrx for a New Audi... love turbo euro's
Sounds hot bosss!!! Quik ???? I gt a Magnaflow catbak on a '03 jetta 1.8t. Wadda tink a gd dwn pipe would b fr that exhaust. I wanna gt a lil bit more of a thicker sound yet not obnoxiously loud? Eurojet?Apr? She sounds hot take care of her. I appreciate your help. Cheers!!
dam!! thats a sick sounding vdub! i have a 03 jetta 1.8t and i want this same sound. what exact setup do u have? how much will it run me and where can i buy it?
hey man nice sound it sounds freaking amazing i have some questions i have a 3'' downpipe with a 2.5 customcatback with a magnaflow muffler is going full 3'' good and go u feel the horsepower gain??
Now that's a nice sounding import! That exhaust is the proper way to do an exhaust system. Not the shit can resonators that everyone puts on their civics with the stock tubing from the headers back to the shit can exhaust. Good job i'm impressed!
which magnaflow muffler is that! sounds NUTS. im currently building my 3" exhaust but cant decide on a muffler....whats the part number of that one!!?
Turbo inlet pipe, apr 91 oct chip, cold air intake, n-75 race valve, hyperboost diverter valve, stage 2 clutch/flywheel probably other things i am forgetting
I have a 1.8t gti and want to put a magnaflow muffler on. Im thinking about just putting a muffler on not the full cat back system and then getting custom 3'' pipes. Do you think that will sound the same as yours kind of?
did you get a magnaflow muffler with tips or did you just get the box with inlets and outlets? And how hard is it to put in a downpipe and how much does it cost?
magnaflow muffler 3" inlet dual 2.5" outlets then bought magnaflow tips to weld on... Downpipe you can buy off ebay for $100 and install it yourself (unless you get it welded on, $40 at a shop)
do you know if it matters wheather i get a dual tip magnaflow muffler with tips or if i get one like you did and add tips. Will the noise be any different if they are both straight through?

ya you will just have lots of spool noise, but not much exhaust noise still, you need to remove the stock muffler and run a magnaflow replacement at least OR you could run 3" DP , keep the resonator and remove the stock muffler (most HP option for cheap)
Isn't the resonator apart of the muffler (inside?) So what you're saying is a 3" DP, catless without a muffler but keep the resonator? Wouldn't that be so loud it could wake the dead?

redfred18t 4 years ago
diverter valves recirculate the air back into your intake system before your mass air flow sensor so your car gets to correct readings, BOV shoot extra pressure into atmoshpere there fore makes your mass air flow sensor read incorrect and you run rich
vdubjetta02 4 years ago
BOV's might not be as efficient but if you are running 20 psi or so on your turbo they are great for releasing pressure from your engine.......
lilstahlly22 3 years ago
