I've played goalie all of my life. One time, back in high school, a kid who stood over 6'7" knocked into me a LOT HARDER THAN THAT. I must have been propelled a good 5 yards or so, I got hit and drifted all the way into the corner with the puck still in my zone. The refs didn't notice and I scrambled all the way back to my crease and still made a save on a one-timer.
Brodeur BARELY GOT TOUCHED. He wasn't pushed out of place, and he had a lot of time to move to face the new puck.

Regardless of whether or not he was outside of the crease, the "contact", if you can even call it that, was barely anything--if a goalie, even Brodeur, can't stop a puck when he had about 2 seconds to get himself set (which is actually a lot of time) then he simply doesn't deserve to stop that puck. Also, the contact was barely anything, AND it was obviously unintentional.

I've played goalie all of my life. One time, back in high school, a kid who stood over 6'7" knocked into me a LOT HARDER THAN THAT. I must have been propelled a good 5 yards or so, I got hit and drifted all the way into the corner with the puck still in my zone. The refs didn't notice and I scrambled all the way back to my crease and still made a save on a one-timer.
Brodeur BARELY GOT TOUCHED. He wasn't pushed out of place, and he had a lot of time to move to face the new puck.

Jokinen planned his screen long before he hit Brodeur, and then as he slid across the ice he didn't change direction nor did he enter the crease. I agree with what was posted in the NHL Situation Room blog on this:
"Hockey Operations officials agreed with the call on the ice, that it looked like the goalie, Martin Brodeur, moved out toward the skater."

I am the one who made this video. I am a Hurricanes and a hockey fan. I actually play the position of goalie. I also think that Brodeur is the best goalie to ever play. But to say he never complains is a lie. From a goalie, I agree with the call, he should have not left his crease.

@Hispanhick1 As rules 69.4 says: If an attacking player initiates any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
A goalkeeper is not “fair game” just because he is outside the goal crease.

THEN they got to conference finals where the pens swept 'em. this video is dumb, no doubt -- it's just mean. but so is your response. this was a great playoff series -- as usual between these two teams -- and obviously a good goal. incidental contact outside the crease: it's in the freaking rule book.

BRODEUR WAS OUT OF THE CREASE! That's all that needs to be said. They didn't come into his crease and interfere with his ability to make the save. The player had his position established outside of the crease, and Brodeur on his own will came outside the crease and bumped into him. It was not interference in any way, shape, or form.
