I've been wanting to get in shape, but i dont have any of the weights or anything. What can i use in place of those that i would be more likely to have at home?

If you want to make your own weights, then I'd suggest either using canned food or water bottles. You can fill the water bottles with water or sand. Just make sure you have equal weight in each hand!
