i soloed this with a duel wield set up... (the red sword of courage and the fang of truth) and since they are both super fast, the 3% health regain on the fallen crusader rune procs super often

My standard spec for this now is full frost with improved rune tap. Bloodworms / ect are rather useless.

actually your not considered blood dk if you only spend points to rune tap i like an unholy blood spec for dps as i can get strength and aoe but no runetap is not a blood dk thing and i know plenty of dks that solo ony with out it:) just remember to sacxrafice your ass off

PS: You can use Death Coil to DPS her in Phase 2. Death Coil is a DKs only reliable range attack and you won't be lacking Ruining Power since you can charge it at the whelps.

Great video. Today my lvl 62 DK saw a tauren druid (resto, lvl 80) flying south from Orgrimmar. I saked were he was going.

He said: Solo Onyxia. Then he asked if I wanted to watch. Sadly the respawns killed me and I couldn't get back inside then.

I stayed in grp and after 1 h, 13 mins he won. Onyxia soloed.

Now he's better than my resto drood but I think I'll bring my hunter friend for DPS.

Going to try and solo her tomorrow, wish me luck.

When i solo'd onyxia (video is processing now) i didnt use much RP because of a glyph that i was using where death strike's healing increases with each runic power point, i did use rune strike a lot though still for the dps

It is VERY easy i think even lvl 75 mabey 70 DKs can solo her, u just desease her up and keep Death Striking her even when whelps come, run under her belly and Death Strike. Use Pestilence to kill whelps

At eighty.

And Death Strike is about a 2k heal on a ten second cooldown. There were times I was taking a LOT of damage.

Did it with a priest and worked like a charm. The worst part is by far phase 2. Its important if you're doing this solo to get rid of the whelps as fast as possible. Save anti-magic shell/icebound for whelps. Tbh i dunno...

How does an unholy dk pull this off in 12 minutes, especially phase 2 with green/blues? I find phase 2 extremely annoying as blood.

People lie. Unless he stuck to the boss like glue it would be impossible. I did this in a defense capped / expertise capped tanking set with over 25,000 HP. The Unholy DK would have had.... say 15k? And those whelps got me UNDER 9k at one point. He's full of it.

35/33/3 For this video, I've changed up my spec so my DPS is a lot higher now with imp obliterate I can spam it for instant crits.

As far as the air phase goes you just have to use Icy Touch > Pestilence > Howling Blast and ignore her until the adds are down. Spec correctly into Blood and you gain 2-6% life per kill, it helps a LOT. You can also Mark of Blood Ony to negate her damage.
