I live in montana where we have cattle. We give them a good few acres and some years to eat and live then we kill them for hamburger and steak. You all probly liv in new york or some big city. i couldnt watch this. i stopped 2 seconds in. i've thought about cutting down on my meat consumption a bit because of this stuff. i wont stop eating animal products alltogether, though. milking a cow actually brings relief to it, and the milk and cheese made from it helps benefit us. same with eggs. laying eggs helps the chicken. it brings more chickens into this world and if there arent any baby chickens in the egg, said eggs can be eaten. so i think vegans are a little crazy. just my opinion.

However, if you purchases eggs and dairy from intensive farming industries (free-range, cage-free, Kosher, etc. all constitute), then you are still funding the meat industry - as the meat and dairy industry are synonymous. Also, the cruelty of egg and dairy farms should be acknowledged. Every glass of milk is providing funds to the veal industry.
Dairy is not beneficial to your health. Plant-sources for calcium/protein are much better.
This is just one of the many reasons I am vegan. I could not sleep at night if I knew that I was supporting this. We have all been raised and taught good and bad ways of living, unfortunately consuming animals for food is the worst of all. There is only negatives when it comes to consuming animal products. Environment, personal health, ethics, sustainability, etc..
asking people to go vegan isn't the answer. they're not going to do it! but getting them to stop cruelty is far more important as films like this show. spread the word, that's all.

Say, somebody somwhere decides to stop all meat/poultry/fish production and so all the people in the world become vegetarians or vegan. Economy starts winging because so many will be out of work. Who has a solution for this?

Can humans stop being compared to wild animals. Wolves, lions, etc. are predators by nature, we as humans have the intelligence, knowledge and resources to get or protein in other forms such as plants, grains, seeds, beans, etc. Not to mention we are supposed to have that one character trait called compassion.

In most developed countries there are laws against the sort of cruelty that is demonstrated by the people in this clip. Organisations such as RSPCA and ASPCA have worked for years to minimise the suffering of animals in farming. So by all means go vegan if you think that's right for you, but don't assume this clip is an accurate portrayal of the treatment of animals in modern farming in developed countries.
Those are all third world countries in this video, where laws dont abide, you people can bitch and complain about going veagn but we have laws and rules to protect animals here in north America if you really want to help those animals focus on third world countries economies. That way rules and laws will be sure to come to protect the animals.

It is amazing how many people feel they need to eat meat to survive, to me it is the easy way out, since doing research and educating oneself on alternative sources takes effort and time. You can get the same type of high quality protein as meat with combination foods such as beans and brown rice, beans and vegetables, peanut butter sandwhiches on wholegrain bread, soy products, hummus and wholegrain pita, this just names a small percent of options.These options are actually healthier than meat

But their living conditions and treatment were nothing like this. The way they get the meat to the market is cruel and inhumane. A lions teeth are made to kill the animal almost instantly on the juggular. The lion doesnt throw, kick, skin the animal alive before killing it to eat it!! DUH!!! They kill for survival!
This sucks ass. I'm glad I became a vegetarian a month ago so I don't cry myself to sleep after watching this stuff. Not that I don't care anymore, there's just a huge weight off of my shoulders. For the people in the comments defending eating meat: my life is 100x better now that I'm meat-free. I'm sure it'd be even more amazing if I became vegan, but sadly I am underage and my parents cannot afford buying extra food for me. Make the right choice, please :)

This is hard to take, and it is good to expose this treatment of animals. But going vegan is only one solution, and perhaps the only solution to take until this serious cruelty is ended. Is there not a more humane way to be a carnivore? Animals eat other animals. They don't torture their prey. We need to learn how not to torture ours.
Why do we get to decide what happens to animals? Would anyone like it if this happened to their children? Animals are God's children too. They were made equal to us and look how we treat them. If anything deserves to go extinct it's the human race. We destroyed their peaceful world. And on top of that, look how we treat them? Animals should be free, not ours to eat, kill as a sport, wear, trade, sell or anything. Whether we know it or not, we are all equal.

Iv been vegan for over a year now and I am not sure why people say Vegans are unhealthy. Because I just donated a kidney to my Mother in Oct. I had to do a lot of medical tests not to just make sure I am a match for her body, but to make sure I was healthy enough to have surgery. And everyone one of my tests came back perfect. Go Vegan!

Say, somebody somwhere decides to stop all meat/poultry/fish production and so all the people in the world become vegetarians or vegan. Economy starts winging because so many will be out of work. Who has a solution for this?
Come to think of it, what has happened to people working in tobacco factories? smoking has been made illegal under 18 years old (good decision), so this theoritically must have reduced the numbers of smokers...what happened to the workers?

Can humans stop being compared to wild animals. Wolves, lions, etc. are predators by nature, we as humans have the intelligence, knowledge and resources to get or protein in other forms such as plants, grains, seeds, beans, etc. Not to mention we are supposed to have that one character trait called compassion.

In most developed countries there are laws against the sort of cruelty that is demonstrated by the people in this clip. Organisations such as RSPCA and ASPCA have worked for years to minimise the suffering of animals in farming. So by all means go vegan if you think that's right for you, but don't assume this clip is an accurate portrayal of the treatment of animals in modern farming in developed countries.

Those are all third world countries in this video, where laws dont abide, you people can bitch and complain about going veagn but we have laws and rules to protect animals here in north America if you really want to help those animals focus on third world countries economies. That way rules and laws will be sure to come to protect the animals.

It is amazing how many people feel they need to eat meat to survive, to me it is the easy way out, since doing research and educating oneself on alternative sources takes effort and time. You can get the same type of high quality protein as meat with combination foods such as beans and brown rice, beans and vegetables, peanut butter sandwhiches on wholegrain bread, soy products, hummus and wholegrain pita, this just names a small percent of options.These options are actually healthier than meat

@armymedic999: your way of thinking is totally unreasonable! Over 40 yrs ago, my grandpa raised his family on meat, eggs, dairy. He had a farm and raised them. But their living conditions and treatment were nothing like this. The way they get the meat to the market is cruel and inhumane. A lions teeth are made to kill the animal almost instantly on the juggular. The lion doesnt throw, kick, skin the animal alive before killing it to eat it!! DUH!!! They kill for survival!

This sucks ass. I'm glad I became a vegetarian a month ago so I don't cry myself to sleep after watching this stuff. Not that I don't care anymore, there's just a huge weight off of my shoulders. For the people in the comments defending eating meat: my life is 100x better now that I'm meat-free. I'm sure it'd be even more amazing if I became vegan, but sadly I am underage and my parents cannot afford buying extra food for me. Make the right choice, please :)

@armymedic999 A lion can sure eat animal, but lions won't cage them for their entire life and make their life worse than death. Animals in our hands only get one relief and that is death. Most of the animals see their friends slaughtered in front of them and know its their turn now and they can't do anything about it.
If you want to kill and eat them, sure you can do, but you are comparing with lions. Go find meat like they do, hunt, kill and then eat. Why to buy from market.

This is hard to take, and it is good to expose this treatment of animals. But going vegan is only one solution, and perhaps the only solution to take until this serious cruelty is ended. Is there not a more humane way to be a carnivore? Animals eat other animals. They don't torture their prey. We need to learn how not to torture ours.

Why do we get to decide what happens to animals? Would anyone like it if this happened to their children? Animals are God's children too. They were made equal to us and look how we treat them. If anything deserves to go extinct it's the human race. We destroyed their peaceful world. And on top of that, look how we treat them? Animals should be free, not ours to eat, kill as a sport, wear, trade, sell or anything. Whether we know it or not, we are all equal.

Im not saying i want us to die off, i just said that we are making animals endangered with useless things like animal testing for make up and a shooting sport and bull riding. We torture them for nothing. At leat when an animal eats another its natural and they dont torture them throught it as much as we do. And at least that animal was most likley in the forest or something and got to feel the earth beneath their feet. I'm not a vegitarian but i at least eat organic meat.

God created humans to be dominant over animals. They were, in no way, created to be equal to us. It is acceptable to use animals as food and for other commodities. Just read the first book of the Bible.
If you are trying to say that humans are animals too ; then aren't we just part of the animal kingdom? Don't we have the right to slaughter animals as we please as we are predatory?

Iv been vegan for over a year now and I am not sure why people say Vegans are unhealthy. Because I just donated a kidney to my Mother in Oct. I had to do a lot of medical tests not to just make sure I am a match for her body, but to make sure I was healthy enough to have surgery. And everyone one of my tests came back perfect. Go Vegan!
