If you listen to the video sound you can hear the trike taking another flier up! It wasn't tree rotor, it was wash from the out going gilder. Never land behind someone taking off!! Things could get UGLY!
Looked like he didn't change the hand position for a flare. He had his hand on the base tube instead of the down tubes. I wonder. His legs weren't even out of the harness.... I wonder. Was he an experienced pilot, or as I heard form the sounds was it a towing flight?
He had been flying for a couple years and was fairly experienced although this was a relatively new glider for him. We think the main cause was a rotor from a nearby tree line
Judging from the control bar position, lack of airspeed should not have been a factor. If the guy flew into a wind shear or rotor then the glider may have been semi stalled without the height to recover. Either that or the guy flew into the ground without flaring or slowing down at all for unknown reasons.
HE DOES NOT ACELERATE THE HANGLIDE NEAR THE GROUND ... SI-FÚ
HOW ABOUT A PAIR OF WHEELS ON BASE TUBE ?

Wrong. The trike was just moving into position and Frank landed a coupe hundred feet past where the trike was sitting.

he was hauled away in an ambulance with a concusion. broke his nose and had some stiches on his forehead. had a sore neck for a while but is ok now.

It looks like he turned way to close to the ground and lost a lot of air speed.
