I have the Remington 1-1 1/2 curling wand and I did this on the fatter end and it worked perfectly!! The tip where u roll the curling iron down really helped curl my hair better!!

I think it helps to curl with it straightened (if your hair isn't naturally straight) first to end up with a smoother finish

Oh the crease! your probably turning the iron the wrong way, if you clip it with the clip opening/ facing away from you.. you turn inwards to your face. If the clip opens towards your face you turn outwards.

the second layer would take just as long as the bottom if youre layers are long layers rather than short, like yours. wouldnt take ages.. but, longer than 2 or 3 curls.. especially for us girls with lots of hair :P
