All I have to say is that, as a republican, I would VASTLY prefer that McCain run against Obama then against Clinton.

Bottom line. Clinton could win. Obama can't. The reason is simple. Although the Bush administration has alienated voters, 90%+ of americans are moderates. McCain is a moderate. Clinton is a moderate. Obama? Not a moderate, lol. He's a far, far, FAAAAAAR left liberal wacko. We live in a representative democracy. Obama is not representative of the vast majority.

Show me the evidence that Obama is a "left liberal wacko." Obama is the only candidate that makes sense for our time. He is splendid, eloquent, a great American, who could make a fortune in private industry but chose service to the poor and needy. Give me a break, please.
