  • Holy bejesus.... one of the most epic things I've seen in awhile.

  • Gaslight Anthem are the greatest band around in my opinion. Every single song of theirs send me shivers every time. and this video sends me some of the biggest shivers ive ever had (Y) wish i was there to see it live. cant wait to see them in November :D

  • @JaffaThatCake Where are you going to see them? I am seeing them in Dublin and I cant wait!

  • The Boss is amazxing

  • Saw Gaslight open for Rise Against and didn't pay attention then :( I would rather see them now, what a great band. Teamed up with the Boss....Are you kidding me!!! F-Yeah!

  • Bruce messess up the lyrics to his OWN songs! LOL. The man's still a legend! Brian & Bruce at the mic are cool.

  • im gonna see them at leeds academy in november!!!!! arrggggg :D :D cant wait! ... been waitin for this for a long time xD

  • bruce doesnt know the words to the song unfortunately. whatever its still mad cool

  • Fine, fine jamming session! Amazing performance from both musicians.

  • amazing. why the hell are people booing in the crowd though?

  • @joecrzy199

    They're shouting "Bruuuuuuuce!"

If you ever go to a Bruce concert, you'll know. :)

  • @eimearmurphy

    hahaha that makes more sense

  • @joecrzy199 they're screaming "bruuuce", so it kind of sounds like a boo.

  • @joecrzy199 Cuz springsteen kept messing up the lyrics

  • @joecrzy199 Was that a serious question? LOL

  • @TomFromJersey haha sadly yes. i was stupider 6 months ago

  • Must be amazing for them, not only performing on stage with Springsteen, but having him perform one of their own songs with them.

  • he is really The Boss :)

  • seeing these on thursday at the Manchester academy!! cant wait, i am buzzing!

  • @00islyi00 Saw them on the tuesday before at birmingham. They were fuckin brilliant! BEt they were good at Manc academy too.

  • Waldo @ 1:12

  • this is way to much!!

  • I love how Brian just doesn't care Bruce gets the lyrics wrong. He's so psyched to be singing with his idol, you can see how happy he is in every chorus, wide eyed, smiling and singing his heart out. I love this :)

  • @RuhBuhJuh1 wouldnt you be, if you and yourl idol were screaming into the same microphone at THE BEST festival in the world?

  • <3 this.

  • what kind of les paul is bruce using

i think its a jr but its kinda big too be a jr

  • @jtster Pretty sure its a Gibson Melody Maker, not a Les Paul.

  • to the 8 people that disliked this, this is what real music is. i bet those 8 people all like lil wayne and eminem. lol

  • @butteredtoast556677 Eminems new cd is actually really good.

  • @butteredtoast556677 while i agree that those 8 people are ridiculous, i think eminem is a very talented lyricist. ill give you lil wayne though haha.

  • @butteredtoast556677

woah lil wayne can't compare with eminem, eminem is a lyricist with just as much power as Brian up there.

But still, something must still be wrong with those 8 people haha

  • @fram3w0rkz1nc

    but both are crap anyhow.

  • @butteredtoast556677 well said mate.

  • @butteredtoast556677 Why do you care what they like?

  • Can I ask? Why does everyone boo when Bruce comes out? Or do they jst dont like him?

  • @DGdescription They aren't booing genious. listen closely. they're going BRUUUUUUUUCE!

  • @DGdescription I really hope you were joking

  • love The Gaslight Anthem & Bruce Springsteen!!! they are awesome!!!! so is misfits as i recognise the link!! all N.J. seems to be the best, awesome, wonderfull bands

  • bruce is seeing himself remembering what it was like in the early days...

  • 8 dislikes? What is there to possibly dislike here, a great new band singing a cracking tune with a full blown legend, dislike??!! Jesus....

  • i love the way there music has progressed still prefer sink or swim tho tbh just love that more raw sense of desperation

  • I LOVE IT!!!!! LOVE THIS BAND N SPRINGSTEINS JUST A LEGEND!! wish i had of been there in person

  • That big of a festival with Bruce Springsteen and they can't get him his own mic. so we can hear him?

  • It doesnt get any better than this. A bunch of New Jersey kids getting to play with the boss. They're living a dream. And you can tell Springsteen loves the FUCK out of this song.

  • epic @ 4:13

  • if you look at the Gaslight's interviews and stuff, even though their sick of The Boss comparason, he still says that if he had to bring one album, it would probably be Springsteen. He saw a old tape with Bruce on it, when he was a kid, and said : "this is my ticket out of here"

    now he's playing with him.

    ace.

  • Amazing Just Amazing. Both Gaslight and the Boss are amazing. Even though Bruce's is voice isn't what it use to be, this still sounds amazing.

  • Haha this is great!! I love the way Brian is smiling from ear to ear through the whole song.. He's such a genuine guy and he just look like he's enjoying himself even more than normal playing next to his hero!!

  • Great band, great song and when Brian and Bruce share the mike on the first chorus I can't help getting teary eyed. Brian looks like he's got to pinch himself. Beautiful.

  • Music is power, let it flow through your mind...

  • Going to see them next month, cant wait

  • Oh man, Bruce has to start staying out of tanning booths!

  • 8 people who don't like this, you are weird

  • Poor Bruce will forever be accustomed with "boo".

  • Is this a little like dring Band-Aid in the 80's when the police handed the torch to U2? What a great endorsement for The Gaslight Anthem. Bruce rocks unlike any others, but the Gaslight will one day be the kings...

  • WATCH BRUCE FART AT 5:01

  • This wouldve been awesome to see live.

  • lol would be funny if brian kissed him when there faces are all close xD

  • he is sooooo pumped to be singing with the boss on a great song, wouldnt we all be though right?????

  • everytime i watch this it gives me goose bumps

  • anyone else notice bruce didn't really know the words

  • @GreenDayFan2007 yeah i noticed lol, messed up the choir line and just after it haha

who gives a fu it was was still awesome

  • whys the crowd booing?

    are they fucking stupid?

  • @dropdeaddrew they're saying bruce

  • @DanSchiferl ohh lol that make sense.

    i thought it was boo

i was like are they nuts? i would love to see them live

  • This makes me so so happy.

    <3

    Brian Fallon = amazing.

  • BRUCE IS MY GOD!!!!

  • Great performance.

  • OMG I cant believe that happened Bruce is so fucking Amazing

  • HELLS YEA! XX

  • Real privilege for Brian and the boys, delighted for them. Great moment.

p.s artstarrrrrr, beautifully done, I think I love you! x

  • Massive privilege for Brian & the boys - delighted for them.Shiver down spine moment.

ps. artstarrrrrr, beautifully done - I think I love you.

  • one of the sickest bands of all time, they just have a "real" feel.

  • @itsmytime2011 i know what you mean

  • fuckin sweet!

  • Great Combo! Great Duett!

  • two of the best!

  • thats a ludicrous comment if you appreciate all music then you would for sure at least appreciate bruce, even if you dont like him... I didnt even know this existed, I always thought they should play with him, nice to know they did

  • That must have been such a fucking rush to play with Bruce, holy shit. That would have blown my mind

  • @AdmiralA Damn right....not only to play with Bruce but he plays on YOUR SONG...unbelievable.

  • I love it. Old and new. An other story teller has been born.

  • When I was watching this on telly and I saw Bruce at the beginning, I was like.... WHAT!?

    Legend.

  • To everybody bashing on this collaboration, Bruce met them RIGHT before Gaslight's set and said he wanted to do a song and he KINDA knew '59 Sound so they brought him up. This is true music and oh too bad it's not perfect for you but it's perfect for anyone who appreciates what really happened.

  • My two favorite artists.

  • The best part about this is that Bruce appeals to every age group on the planet who respects music for art's sake because Bruce is the real thing..

  • dear LoveisintheStars, I can totally appreciate that you do not enjoy the Boss, but I sincerely believe that you must have misspoken in your statement i"his music is so generic that it lacks any sort of showmanship" He is one of the greatest storytellers of our lifetime. I'm a mere 23 years old and am AMAZED how he relates to the average Joe. You should look into the symbology and meaning of his lyrics.. and as for showmanship- he is one of the BEST live performers one will ever experience. THNX

  • @foxyoxyyy A-fuckin-men to that!

Sprinsteen and The Gaslight Anthem are two of my all time favourites

  • hey, thank you for putting the bayonne bleeders link in the sidebar. great music! and, of course, this gaslight performance is wonderfully life-affirming.

  • how long do you think it took some of the people in that crowd to realise it was bruce? glastonbury is for amateurs! LEEEEDS!

  • Seriously could bruce not learn some of the lyrics? I love this song but it really irritates me when he screws up

  • haha.. dear snatscott.. who the hell are you to criticize one performance... especially if they had hardly practiced before their performance. You hate it when he screws up? lol this man has more fans that will fight you tooth and bone, than people you will ever meet and you sincerely feel as though your comment is in the least bit warranted? His performance was so energetic and lively, his fans certainly didn't mind some of the glitches..but I guess they don't have the same standards as u LOL

  • dear foxyxoxyyy, as much as I agree with you.. Chill the fuck out!

  • Dear artstarrrrrr, don't start with me. in case you haven't noticed my messages are responses to comments made to me. If you have nothing to add, kindly shut your trap.

  • and I agree with your comments, I think you should just let other people have their oppinions. I am in agreement with you however, the Gaslight are one fo my favourite bands, i even met them last august. I just think you should chill out a bit, you'll live longer :) Have a lovely day, and please don't take youtube comments to seriously, you seem to be responding to an awful lot of comments.

  • Never heard that big of a pop. Insane.

  • think his voice sounds a bit like brandon flowers but with more substance

  • I still think it's funny that bruce springsteen doesn't get the lyrics right

  • awesome

  • this rocks, gaslight anthem are the future of music, them and arcade fire are the best bands in the world at the moment

  • this is incredible!

  • Remember and savour these moments...This band will dominate the world one day. Kings of Leon watch your backs.

  • Comment removed

  • Lets hope so

  • @laika288 if every kings of leon song on the radio was replaced with a gaslight anthem song, the airwaves would be a better place.

  • @superduper503 Certainly agreeing with that statement when talking about anything from the last two Kings of Leon's LPs which, regrettably, is the only stuff that gets played by them on the radio these days. I miss Molly's Chambers and California Waiting man!

I hope The Gaslight Anthem keep it real for American Slang and I think they will. It just sounds so natural.

  • @superduper503 if EVERY song on the radio was replaced by a Gaslight song the airwaves would be a better place!!!

  • @laika288 Agreed. Found this band thru Hold Steady tour info. WOW.

  • respect

  • foxyoxyyy Ignorant

They where allready growing alot before bruce did this one.

And they respect Bruce alot, they have said it a thousand times that Bruce is one of their main inspirations.

So I can totaly understand why they don't want to talk about him all the time.

    So, think, than talk

  • Dear nakkie13,

I think you should refrain from posting comments until you can learn to spell properly.

This is a rudimentary skill most have mastered by the early age of 13.

Should you pursue posting your you ill-spelt dribble- Proof-read, then post.

  • @foxyoxyyy you know nothing, stop talking

  • I know quite a bit, thanks though.!

  • Not enough about this to make comments you don't.

  • @foxyoxyyy perhaps they wanted to have people know them for Themselves, and not because Bruce Springsteen (one of the greatest Musicians alive) played onstage with them. It is called wanting people to know who you are not who you played onstage with,.

  • Dear K4driver, interesting you point that out...seeing as how they were more than excited to perform with him for the fact that he is such a legend, he would bring them some recognition. Again, this is the only way that I even heard of who this band was. I think that they wanted to perform w Brucey because they foresaw the fame they would attain, but decided that after, they were going to make a name for themselves..? Odd..as they only reached a new level of hype bc of him (Brucey).

  • Nah, they performed with him because Springsteen and Joe Strummer are their two musical heroes.

  • Two of the Greatest musicians from New Jersey, enough said.

  • Comment removed

  • @K4driver2

    It's a situation. Sorry couldn't resist.

  • Fuck Elvis....Bruce defines American Rock & Roll...and let's hope that Gaslight will carry on his torch...

  • @CourtyardPigeon Elvis was a legend, fuck bruce, Billy Joel defines American Rock n Roll.

  • @CourtyardPigeon Agreed

  • Can't even imagine what it would be like to sing with my favorite singer like that. Unreal.

  • there is a moment at the start where they start playing and brian and the boss are playing to each other and the look on his face is sheer happiness. its good to see some bands that actually have respect when a legend joins them. some bands would have just used that as a publicty stunt. and i bet GLA did better in the press cause they REALLY enjoyed that. first song ive heard of theirs and i am impressed. they could go far :) xo

  • @DaBiscuitMate2

You what makes it even better, the fact that a legend like the boss came out and played with them and was having just as much fun.

  • i agree :)

  • Amazing!

    AND I WANT A LES PAUL!!!! =D

  • Wow!! This awesome! I remember watching this on tv. Thanks for uploading!

Haha I loved his intro for Bruce Springsteen! I love Americans lol!

    Peace = ]
