if you look at the Gaslight's interviews and stuff, even though their sick of The Boss comparason, he still says that if he had to bring one album, it would probably be Springsteen. He saw a old tape with Bruce on it, when he was a kid, and said : "this is my ticket out of here"

To everybody bashing on this collaboration, Bruce met them RIGHT before Gaslight's set and said he wanted to do a song and he KINDA knew '59 Sound so they brought him up. This is true music and oh too bad it's not perfect for you but it's perfect for anyone who appreciates what really happened.

Much had an interview w this band and the VJ had a couple of questions about their performance w/ THE BOSS and the lead singer was like 'no we don't want to about him.we've spoken of him enough'... right, I would never have even known who this band was if Bruce had not performed once w them. Such ingrates. they could have at least been modest about it and said 'wow he's just amazing'.Bruce never does these collaborations. they should thank their lucky stars and praise him every chance they get

Dear K4driver, interesting you point that out...seeing as how they were more than excited to perform with him for the fact that he is such a legend, he would bring them some recognition. Again, this is the only way that I even heard of who this band was. I think that they wanted to perform w Brucey because they foresaw the fame they would attain, but decided that after, they were going to make a name for themselves..? Odd..as they only reached a new level of hype bc of him (Brucey).
there is a moment at the start where they start playing and brian and the boss are playing to each other and the look on his face is sheer happiness. its good to see some bands that actually have respect when a legend joins them. some bands would have just used that as a publicty stunt. and i bet GLA did better in the press cause they REALLY enjoyed that. first song ive heard of theirs and i am impressed. they could go far :) xo

@foxyoxyyy perhaps they wanted to have people know them for Themselves, and not because Bruce Springsteen (one of the greatest Musicians alive) played onstage with them. It is called wanting people to know who you are not who you played onstage with,.

Dear K4driver, interesting you point that out...seeing as how they were more than excited to perform with him for the fact that he is such a legend, he would bring them some recognition. Again, this is the only way that I even heard of who this band was. I think that they wanted to perform w Brucey because they foresaw the fame they would attain, but decided that after, they were going to make a name for themselves..? Odd..as they only reached a new level of hype bc of him (Brucey).

there is a moment at the start where they start playing and brian and the boss are playing to each other and the look on his face is sheer happiness. its good to see some bands that actually have respect when a legend joins them. some bands would have just used that as a publicty stunt. and i bet GLA did better in the press cause they REALLY enjoyed that. first song ive heard of theirs and i am impressed. they could go far :) xo
