the A3 has an audi sport engine. so really there is no need to ban it beacause it is still based on a road going version. they are banning burtons because you cant really buy that car off a showroom forecourt, where you can buy an A3 with the V6 (just happens that Kynastons is tuned a little bit)
@boschytroop Its getting ban because new rules coming in state that no car can have the engine mounts moved as well as a 100 other pointless rules !! the engine in that beast has been moved a good 12'' towards the center of the car . . . i hate the new rules, no more garden shed engineering, no more standing in forest or country lanes in the middle of the night wondering What the F~@k was that !!! now evo . . group N evo,sti . . . BORING . . .

I was servicing for a mate on the Manx national last May. He was next to us and when I had a peek all was revealed. Ex Audi DTM engine! Fast!
