Seriously what's up with all the negativity from each side. I'm a bodyboarder always have been and my buddies who surf want me to surf too. I tell them this is me and it's what I like to do. Ive got a theory on this topic.The good stick riders dont seem to comment or complain about bodyboarders, because they are confident in what they do, and dont really care what someone else does, or they are just stoked to see someone else having fun Generaly its the less then cofident/competant standup riders that feel the need to hang shit on lid riders. They see a person out there geting big barels and surfing a wave wel and feel the need to criticise to help deal with their own insecurities

I was recently surfing at Bingin with a couple of bodyboarders and a few "good" surfers (newbies have no business at that spot or they eat reef) and all the vibes were good in the water. We all traded barrels and there were no hassles whatsoever. I'm happy to surf with anyone who enjoys the ocean (even newcomers if they're not in a spot that's over their head).

not quite sure why theres such a rift between bodyboarders and surfers. The vehicles we use are just a means to the same end....get barreled, catch a good wave, and have some fun. I surf and bodyboard and feel that by limiting yourself to one style of wave riding is to limit the experiences you can possibly have on the wave......Ride everything, judge nothing.

Bodyboarders are leading the way forward in the tube and in the air for all others to follow.
