  • i hate snirt

  • Once you have 4" of snow, you can launch from anywhere. And @castoni2 those trails were from Crystal Valley thru Hart Lake & back to the dunes... The hardest part is getting snow to actually cover the dunes. It rarely happens, but when it does...it's AWESOME!

  • Wow you guys got lucky! The dunes rarely have that much snow - especially covering mostly everywhere

it does kinda suck how its hard to see depth and such though

    cool video!

  • Where are those trails you were riding on after all the still photos in the last part of the video?

  • nah DNR leave ya alone in the winter.. theres a ton of spots you can ninja into there with.. most the time you can go right in the main entrance tho.. or if its late in the winter when you get a decent snow on the dunes you can just take your sled right across the lake

  • We come up to the dunes every 4th of July. I have never seen the dunes with snow. this is an awesome video. We live in southern indiana just 1 mile from louisville, ky. Would love to ride the dunes in the snow!

  • how did you guys get on. back trails?

  • thats so sweet! looks like fun! whats the temp?

  • Silver Lake Sand Dunes are in the western part of lower Michigan...49436

  • where did you guys launch out of?

  • Silly boys, short tracks are for girls! : ) Come to western Canada for some real "hills"! : ) Kidding!

But seriously, cool vid. Never seen dunes covered in snow before. Looks like it would have been fun on a Banshee as well! What part of the USA is that? Unfortunately we don't have dunes like that in BC, just lots of mountains.

  • @kootenaycat its in michigan

  • cool video and spot -- where is this ? -- there is like 500 places in north america called silverlake

  • I have always wondered if people rode there in the winter. and what about the dnr

  • Yeah...it's rare to have the dunes covered enough to snowmobile. We've had rain the last couple of days and the dunes are back to sand...

  • that is so cool. how did you get in? is there DNR? thanks for taking the time to make is vid. i have never seen silver lake sand dunes in the winter..thanks
