  • epic armadillo i mean

  • epic armilo

  • There's something history class never taught me: the Mayans spoke Spanish.

  • @Shadoessa Actually everybody spoke English with slightly ethnic American accents and 21st century mannerisms, including the horse and the armadillo.

  • Mmmm Chel, I've heard soo much about her in Diviantart.... :D

  • When I was a little girl, my dad would tell me stories every night about the city of gold. He doesn't anymore but thats one of my fav childhood memories

  • I never noticed before, but the horse at 5:16 totally mouths the words "El Dorado."

  • I remember replaying the video tape over and over to listen to that song again like 10 years ago.

  • 0:03 This is just like Broke back mountain all over again... O_O

  • i like that they didnt make this girl like stick thin. shes so pretty!

  • @yoyowasub

    The SCOUNDREL!

  • its not cortez, its CORTÉS; which means courteous/gallant.

  • 12 people are minecraft greifers.

  • This is definitely partially based on Voltaire's Candide

  • "Release her. If her only wish is to serve the Gods, she can serve us as long as she wants... mmhmmm"

  • lol they all speak english

  • @frenchfriessoda001 Well you wouldn't want to be reading subtitles now would you? :p

  • @RandomCommenter707 no of course not. just saying its kinda funny that they started talking the same language at the same time. like in Pocahontas. xD

  • @frenchfriessoda001

    even the horse, note: 5:17

  • thumbs up if you think the music is amazing <3

  • The animation in this movie is breathtaking.

  • Love me a good adventuring montage :D

  • i'm so glad you have this movie on here.

  • yeah, apparently el dorado is native for GREAT BIG ROCK!!!!!

i am Miguel! And im Tulio! And they call us Miguel and Tulio!

  • I want Tzekel-Kan's body.

  • I want Tzekel-Kan's body.

  • El Dorado is in Guyana......to me this movie is based on peru or somewhere else ...

  • How did they make a city of gold without having the creepers get to it?

  • @LazyCrazyClown Well this is the 1500's so I'm pretty sure this is one of the many uncharted islands in this world at the time

  • @LazyCrazyClown They have a lot of torches everywhere?

  • @LazyCrazyClown they must have put up a ton of torches or got some brightstone

  • @LazyCrazyClown i dont think the entire city is made of gold but the city has ALOT of the stuff and that's why its so wealthy.

  • @LazyCrazyClown They probably only used gold as material because it's shiny and used cocoa beans as currency :)

  • @LazyCrazyClown They put torches *trollface*

  • @LazyCrazyClown back in 1500, it was the"new world", not many people new about mexico, and even less knew about "el dorado"

  • @LazyCrazyClown hah mincecraft that's so funny i built my version of el dorado on minecraft

  • THE HORSE'S FACE AT 7:33

    OMG

  • Boy, I still remember watching this movie when I was younger. It's an amazing movie.

And, there is that brilliant piece by Hans Zimmer at 5:20. I wish they had that in the OST.

  • I love Tulio! He's the best! ♥

  • "And what taken all the really big rocks? The Scoundroul!" LMFAO!

  • This film is inspiring to me visually. There are so many "wow" moments in the backgrounds alone.

  • I would love to see the concept art for the city of El Dorado. I looked for the character design concept art through Google and was able to dig up a little. I found different versions of Miguel, Tulio, and Chel and one different version of Tzekel-Kan and the Chief and even the horse. I bet the designs for the city and landscape backgrounds are spectacular.

  • the girl have nice ass

  • @SuperFilmon FINALLY SOME SENSE!!

  • Oh my God a giant rock!

  • 0:04 dayuuuuuuuum

  • awww brings back memories :) i think the last time i saw this movie when i was little maybe 6-9 yrs old... im now 12

  • Are they aztecs?

  • "serve" the "gods"

    haha.

  • "Get on... the horse..."

I love how Tulio says that, I can't ever pick which character I love most.

  • That girl who said "my only wish is to serve the gods" is really really hot :)

  • My name is Miguel

    And my name is Tulio

And they call us Miguel and Tulio

  • Am I the only one who thinks Chel is hot?

  • @ubergirliz1 not at all

  • @hammy2015 Lol.

  • I love the random little armandillo that stalks them all over the place... XD

  • the horse waz talking xD

  • i still think it's a funny movie

  • Spanish was brought over from Europe. Only Miguel and Tulio would be speaking spanish. The natives would be speaking a now dead native language. Anyway, why the hell would the movie be in Spanish? It was translated for an English audience. If you bought it in China it would be in Manadarin, in Portugal portugese, in Latin America Spanish.

  • @Teresa64squared The languages the natives would be speaking isn't dead. Many people still speak the precolumbian languages today.

  • @Link0306 My mistake. Sorry : ]

Still though, if the movie was completely was in the "real" language, it wouldbe incomprehensible to most people.

  • 0:35 anyone thinking lion king?

  • Why did Chel want that thing anyway?

  • i like how all animation companies were in 2D then converted to computers. This and Prince of Egypt i think were the last two for Dreamworks before they converted to computers

  • I love the first few seconds when the armidillio-type animal is about to eat the fish and Tulio gives him the look and says "Oh...."

  • I love how the "natives" of El Dorado know how to speak perfect English. hahaha

  • @binanabanana or spanish

    arent they from spain?

  • Get on the horse.

  • i love how Chel is the only like movie cartoon character with a thick curvy body :D shows she healthy!

  • whats with the dude and the hat at7:08

  • I prefer the songs in spanish they sound better

  • This is like the 'Emperor's new groove' of dreamworks :D

  • @FireWolf112 Which is funny cuz, eng was gonna be a more epic musical called 'Kingdom of the Sun' and it wouldve probably looked like this.

  • 0:03 how the fuck could they show nudity in a child's movie?

  • 5:17, horse mouthing.. best part of the movie!

  • you couldnt get away with half the shit in this movie now adays

    i miss the 90's

  • @Thedeoradude like what?

  • @shrikechan the two being nude for starters, then we cant have the aboriginal religion! no thats racist!

and then we cant have galmbling either, that teaches kids that gambling is ok! oh, and of course, we cant have a female dressed (?) like the princess, because despite the fact that lady gaga is dancing around with a bra made of assult rifles and nothing else, and miley cyrus doing a fucking pole dance in a thong at the KIDS choice award, no, cartoons must be the source of child sex!

  • @Thedeoradude I don`t see much of a difference between the 90s and today, honestly, and I grew up in the 90s. I don`t think anyone would say that showing "aboriginal" religion is racist. In fact people care less about that now. El dorado is from 2000 anyway, just ten years ago. Seems like yesterday to me, I`m 20. The power rangers is more potentially racist than this.

  • @shrikechan Ah yes, i remember well

but still i know aboriginal religion wouldnt really be taken as as racist, but frankly i wouldnt be suprised anymore, and i suppose im just bitching indirectly at Justin bieber and the downfall of society as a whole, yes it was slipping in the 90's, im not arguing

but i am not making any of this up when i say that there are about 13 people in my school addicted to heavy drugs, like say... heroin

not to mention the fact that you go ANYWHERE in my school, and

  • @Thedeoradude you'll find talks of origies and whatnot, and up in Osoyoos there are like five stomach pumps a week for alchahol poisoning in people under 15.

    its fucking ludicrous

  • omg it's a giant rock!

  • awsome

  • this movie makes me literally laugh out loud

  • And Tulio, I'm sorry about that girl and Barcelona.

    What?... >_>You...

  • ok. tooo funny!

  • LOVE that face MIguel has at 1:00 "That Tulio of mine." <3

    "S- you-?!"

    XD

  • El Dorado is native for Great Big ROCK! LOL! Good one Tulio. Also the warrior on the right at 3:24 looks like Kocoum from Disney's Pocahontas. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
