Is it still sitting there? If it is go take your uncle out in a feild and shoot him and if he is not living anymore then go out in the feild and shoot yourself for not doing something with it. I am no Ford guy but this piss's me off the let a car sit there and rot. Atleast sell or give it to someone that car care for it.
@gixxerboy007 , LOL he's probably on google right now surfing like crazy to find out. But correct me if I'm wrong, cause I had a 73 Mustang Mach 1 with a 351C "small block" while the 351W is a big block.
The 351 Windsor was made in Ontario while Clevelend was made in Detroit, right ??
you should at least lift it out of the dirt to keep from to much further rust ... you should really consider parting it out.. you could make quite a bit between the grill and powertrain .. those bucket seats could be reapolstered ... id love to have those
He said it was his uncles. Some people have attachment to a car and wont get rid of them, or it could be a "when I get around to it" project. But I agree that its a shame to let it sit there and rust.
damn the back pannels are in pretty good condtion...i need them cuz i am restoring a 1971 torino 500 that has been sitting in someones yard for twenty one years an the back pannels an trunk walls are rotted out an the frame is in pretty shity condtion to but still there nice cars..lol
That's not a Torino 500 (LTD) the quarter windows and sports roof tell the story. Your uncle may have had some parts from a 500, but that is a FrankenGT.
I'm sad to say but you are wrong. Ford did make 500 "sportsroofs", and this is one of them. Everything is original on this car. Check out the dash badging at 2:54, and the two piece grill in the back seat. GT's had a one piece tailight assy, this car obviously doesn't. Inquired about this car over the holidays, 47k actual, and 302 has boss heads added with 4spd top loader behind motor. This isn't a rare cobra, just an old torino.
Wow that's amazing! I thought the dash came from another car because it was not red, and the buckets threw me off, also I thought the other parts might have been scavenged due to what looks like the aftermath of a frontal collision. Pretty cool I did some research myself and you're right there were sportsroof 500's, too bad it wasn't garaged it might have drawn a pretty penny except for the fact it's hard to get rid of anything w/ a red interior.
After reviewing this vid, I realized the codes on the door are incorrect and are from another car. Drivers door was replacement for damaged original. Sorry.
this car might be worth something someday, if someone would get it out of the weather! Sits outside much longer, it will be nothing but junk!

Fordguru, check your information..............302 were in torino hardtop, GT, and 500.
You do not know what you are talking about.
And if you think you do I have a quiz question for you.............What is the difference between a windsor and a cleveland?

A 71 torino 500 sports roof. You could have ordered it with a CJ. ford did the 500 fastbacks
for a reason. It would be half the price for insurance as a 500 fastback CJ car. then a GT CJ
But most peolpe never cought on.
