  • what a class comment the Lady made(about the jewelry)..and many others more She did(known/unknown)...a good speech by Clinton as well!

  • The funniest part of conservatives is that most of them don't even profit from the so-called values that they treasure, only the lobbyists and the corporations & the ultra rich that support the conservative politicions who make their fortunes possible and the lax tax laws that allow them to keep their fortunes intact while the middle & lower class work to take up the slack in the taxes that they ( the ultra rich) dont pay.

  • i don't get how that anecdote can make sense, Obama couldn't have been 6 when clinton was in office

  • Clinton was not suggesting that the first grader who said he, Clinton, could not be President because he was alive was Barack Obama. He was saying because of the candidacy of Obama, no child would ever say that, or believe that, again.

  • He wasn't talking about Obama, he was talking TO obama.

  • bush created a lot of his "shit" like the war in Iraq and having the war in Afgan running to long because most of our resources where in Iraq, and the 5 trillion dollar debit that was created after he inherited a surplus and his lax attitude on regulation helped the economic crisis along. i am not blaming him for the crisis, because that has been brewing since the 80's but he certainly helped. i do not know how good bill was but he was better then bush.

  • lol you think bush started the iraq war. how about you look towards the end of clinton's presidency and his declaration of combat missions against Iraq, and the democratic lobbying for that war which included harsh criticism against bush for not going into iraq immediately

  • lol fact check plz clinton wasn't trying to go against iraq he was going against OSAMA BIN LADEN. If it weren't for retard conservatices bringing up the Monica scandal he could have proabably stopped 9/11

  • What? You say, "I dont know how good Bush was, but Bill was better"? If you dont know how can you comment? That the problem with Dems. You don't have facts. Yes Bill had a zero defiect, but the economy was almost as bad as it is today. He coward over foreign policy, just like everyother Democrat President.

  • True...

    But you know whats funny?

that back in the 30's and 40's democrats were dominatin the country when FDR was in office

then through the 70's through the 80's republicans dominated the white house when nixon, ford and reagan took over..

todays politicans are trying to use them same old tactis these former presidents have done in the past...

and i doubt obama is any better...

  • @chetohimler

"but the economy was almost as bad as it is today."

You must be out of your mind.

  • When was this?

  • 8/30/2008

  • much better speaker than bush. better president? maybe. bush just had alot of shit going on.

  • and he couldnt handle it. screwed up thier didnt we?

  • right out the top of his dome

  • Bill is more appreciated now after 8 years of fiasco with Bush... Bill was and still is always able to show compassion and say words that sooth during times of sadness and/or crisis. It was something that I've missed so much over the last 8 years!

  • Bill Clinton has a medicore presidency. Now being President is a difficult job to say the least andt Bill didn't majorly fuck up the country. Bush makes Bill look like a saint!

  • Great speech... Bill Clinton was a good President... Then, Eight years of Nightmares began... Thank God Obama wants to return us to Glorious Peace n' Prosperity of the Clintonian Era... :)

  • Just checked it out; yes he could have served as Vice President, but in the event of the inability to serve of the President-Elect, Barrack Obama, he would never have been able to succeed him to the office of the Presidency. So, as Jesse Jackson said many times, "the question is moot." No one from either party would ever run with a VP candidate, who couldn't succeed him'her into office.

  • What`s the purpose of having a VP that can`t succeed the presidency. I think term limits is worng. If the american people wants to elect someone to a third term, they should be allowed to do so!

  • In Bill Clinton's case, I agree with you. But, as I am hugely biased, I will sacrifice that possibility to have kept Reagan and Bush 'W" from doing the same thing. And I think I said before, there is no reason to have a Veep who cannot succeed you. Hence, no one has ever done it... that I know of.

  • Reagan was too old, and Bush wouldn`t stand a chance in hell. Only good presidents could get a third term. I don`t think many presidents would run for a third run anyway. But if Clinton had been the candidate in 2000 he would have re-elected, and George W. Bush would never have been president!

  • I fully agree with you on all points. just wanted to let you know that theres someone out there that shares your thoughts.

  • Limitation of years in any political function is a requirement for democracy.

  • Hmm was it possible for Barack Obama to pick Bill Clinton as a Vice President because that would have been awesome.

  • No it isnt. You cannot be vice president if youve already been president.

  • Not sure, but I think it is possible to do that. Probably not prudent. Probably a huge clash of egos. It would be great if the running mates were equally charismatic, knowledgeable, and effective. Fact is though, they never are. In fact, history has shown that many of them were at one time, bitter opponents. Bill wouldn't do it anyway. He's been there and done that. He would open the president elect to more undeserved criticism. Actually, I'd love to see Bill in some major capacity. We won't.

  • President Clinton makes those of us who didn't know her wish we'd had the chance, and reminds people who knew her what they gained by that knowledge. Exactly what a memorial service is meant to share. Very touching. Thanks for sharing this.

  • this is how it should be when you listen to a leader speak. it should make you WANT to listen to him because it's intelligent and inspiring.

neither mccain nor palin have that quality.

  • I agree.

  • Well said, It's almost shocking to hear someone of Clinton's intellect and intelligence after years of stumbling speeches by Bush. I agree that McCain and Palin also lack this quality, and I also think Obama lacks it to a certain extent as well. His speeches are inspiring, but he lacks the wit and spontaneity of Clinton, who is brilliant as a speaker.

  • is that why he won with a miles difference in between. mccain wasn't even close.

  • He's saying in comparison to clinton he's not a great public speaker. Don't attack him, i think you got the wrong end of the stick willalwaysbeboi.

  • 2 legends together....bill clinton + barack obama. man, i hope for the sake of this nation that obama is elected.

  • Good thing he was xD!

  • Wow. Moving speech. Loved it!

  • Dale,

In the minds of his faithful disciples, He has already been anointed president. All hail the king!

  • from description: "President-elect, Barack Obama"???

Did I miss the election? I remember going to sleep last night. And I thought I woke up this morning which was October 28th. Hmmm. Let me check my Blackberry. Yep. Oct 28th.

Wow. I missed the news saying he won already. Maybe I should read the New Mexico Sun News, huh?

    -peace

And seriously, rest in peace Rep. Jones.

  • gooooo.... president obama 2008!!!!!!!
