It is not pure Zionistic but in bigger part was created by Zionist ideology. Jewish diaspora was integrated by it's religion and culture. Zionism modified it in broader (spreading feeling of identity from local to world level) and more socialist (less emphasis on religion more on collective cooperation in fulfilling common goals) manner. @NazarethR in old prechristian times , it was normal to give unknown travelers shelter and food, for everyone knew, knowledge and goods and news are shared.
so yes, under the right circumstance , giving shelter is good. but you are right, this was a military crude action , from start ment to cause anger and conflict, plus getting rid of conflicts in the home the cheap way. maybe , the promised land is not on earth , but in space. if everyone would wage war for lost ground, it'd be eternal war.

@NazarethR Its not a question of sharing your home with foreign people who have no right being there. I'm not sure if you are Muslim but let's assume so for just a moment. If you and your people were exiled from Mecca and Medina, the holiest cities in Islam for 2000 years, would you not do everything in your power to return to your homeland, regardless if a new group of people moved into your land? That's exactly what happened to the Jews with Israel.

@NazarethR continued -> the Yishuv accepted the proposal and the Arabs didn't. On May 14 1948, Israel declared its independence and was invaded by over six Arab Armies who vowed to annihilate Israel. Had the Arabs never invaded Israel there would never have been a Palestinian Exodus and we would have had 62 years of peace. Furthermore the invading Arab armies convinced the majority of Palestinians to leave on their own accord, promising a Palestinian State upon the defeat of Israel.

The real ethnic cleansing occured in the Arab World during this period. During the Israeli War of Independence, over 800 000 Jews living in Arab countries (some of these communities were over 2000 years old, predating Islam and Christianity themselves) were exiled from their homes. If you really want to make a difference, do some serious research and stay away from the terrorism supporting Al Jazeera.

The only peopel that left their homes did so because their town attacked the Israeli government (typically they would atack supply caravans, since that is the only source for materials - Jerusalem has no trains, no airport, no waterways for delivery.

God promised the Land of Canaan to Moses and the descendants of Judah as "The Promised Land" after they were led out of Egypt and into the wilderness. All people of the world are continually evil, so not just one people are evil everyone is evil in their heart. learn your history ignoramus. The Arab offer in London conference 1946-47 was rejected by the Zionist. The offer was a democratic Palestine with Jewish representation in Gov't proportionate to the exsisting jewish population . This rejection was one of the causes of the 1948 war.

I chose to focus on the two-state solution because this is what the Palestinians are currently demanding, this is what it is constantly being demanded that Israel agree to. Yet most of the debates about creating a Palestinian state conveniently ignore the fact that one was created in 1947- and *rejected* by the Palestinians, who are now demanding it.

One solution is a return to " greater syria".
There is no Israel, no palestine, no lebanon, no jordan, no small syria . Instead the whole area would a series of semi autonomous confederation of city states. All would have there own areas the Jews in Isarel ,Druze in GolanHeights and Lebanon, shiites in south Lebanon , maronites in mount lebanon , allawites in coastal parts of syia.
There will be no rights of return for palestinians because they wil be settled in other parts of greater syria.

if that were true then why under islam did the jewish temples still stand and why do they still stand today? why when the christians expelled the jews from jerusalem did the caliph omar order their return? it is the present day jews who are immigrants to the land from places like russia and new york. the palestinains are decendents of many tribes which lived in palestine including jewish tribes who converted to islam. manypalestinians were arabized in the 7th century during the islamic conquest.

well the flip side is the bible also says that God then gave the land to the palestinians; "And Samuel said to him, "The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you." 1Samuel 15:28, and (jos 13:1) the promise of return was then conditional & applied to both decendents of abraham including the muslims. the jews have not met that condition and the state of israel was man made not divine using the conditions set in bible.
