It's ashame since india is a very rich diverse group of differnt peoples, and you only find one type of looks mostly in their films. whether it's cause people are obsessed with light skin, or that they are to hooked up on their caste system, i don't know for sure. one thing is for certain is that most rich caste or rich class or upper income people are light or lighter and palish green olive yellow compared with the mainstream population which are very dark olive, brown to black skinned people.

I have also seen the tamil actors and actresses mostly very light and tamils are supposed to be some of the darkest skin toned peoples of india and you barely see any of them in the movie industries as they are very light compared with the majority of tamil people.In bollywood most dark or black skinned indian people are seen dancing behind the main light actors and actresses.I have nothing against anyone, except those who are against or ashamed of showing their mainstream population.

I mean extreme light compared with the typical population, even most iranians and afghans and other middleasterners are darker compared with most indian bollywood musicians, actors and actresses. Take a look at aishwarya rai who is an south indian tuluvu ethnic is light with blue eyes when central and south india is mostly black skinned and are racially an australoid type even most punjabis and kashmiris are mostly dark or much darker compared with aishwarya rai's pale european type appearance.

I hope no one gets offended but how come almost all traditional folk rajasthani and other folk indian groups are mostly dark to black skinned, and look differnt from the modern indian traditional dancers, singers which are lighter.India is predominatly or majority dark to black in terms of skin color,whether north central or south,true that punjabis and the kashmiri are light compared with tamils.But almost all bollywood actors and actresses and other movie industries of india show extreme.

- when i see the face of dancer, she doesnt look rajisthani. but she having beautiful western face with big eyes.

- when i see the dressing, it doesnt look rajisthani. it also looks western.

when i see the dancing style it donsnt look rajisthani.

- only language is rajisthani.

But mostly rajisthani beautiful girls are having with rounded faces instead of ovel such as above dancer having like western.

You can can not caraterize Rajesthani girls having round face. That is your perception, I am from Gujarat and there people have round faces and other faces.  People in any state are very diverce.
