  • This episode was the first time i heard this song. It was pre phone apps so i spent like ten minutes googling lyrics to find this song. this episode ALWAYS makes me tear up.

  • They couldn't have picked a sadder song for this episode D:

  • i JUST watched this episode.... such a sad episode.:(

    poor Dr. Cox.

  • The odd thing is, for a TV sitcom show this accurately portrays exactly how you feel when something like this actually happens.

  • :'(

  • the best part of this show was that it made you laugh and made you cry all in the same show. Most comedy shows can never pull that off

  • "There's no comming back.

    Yeah, u'r right..."

  • they always have the fray in the background

  • Somebody thought Scrubs was a "stupid, little comedy show"

Showed them this episode. They were tearing up. Shit yeah, John C McGinley.

  • a DUHR DERP DUR I LIKED THE PART THAT WAS GOOD AHURRR

  • um, what episode is this,im new to watching scrubs and all i have is the first season.

  • When that pager beeps, and the otherwise so strong Perry Cox gets this expression that just screams "God no, I can't take anymore!"... My eyes just tear up! Every time, I can't help it!

  • It really reaches a crescendo when Bradford dies and Cox tosses the defibrillator in anger. I can't resist tearing up then.

  • Best episode I have ever seen. It's moving.

  • this episode was so sad1 I love DR Cox, i wanna take him home in my pocket :)

  • my favourite scrubs scene.

Those are the scenes that make me love this show!

  • one of my fave episodes!

    this shows amazing

  • Love this episode!

  • Man this show is so under rated. This new season is terrible. I can not wait for them to release all 8 series in one collectible, then it will be the time to buy the dvds, or if they do them all in blue ray.

    Season 9 is gay.

  • @qball8001 ..i dont think seasons have sexuality's..

  • Season 9 does, that's how shit it is :o.

  • @qball8001 by gay do you mean it sucks??? or it gives you a sort of warm and happy feeling??? just asking because I am gay and I don't suck!

  • @kanawaienton

Naw I have no problems with gays, I meant to say that the show is just completely ass now.

I just used common slang where I am from, not to be a bigot, which sounds like I am though.

  • what series is this from?

  • omg this is so sad, I cried so hard watching this!!!! I love how even though Scrubs is down right hilarious, they also add meaningful episodes just like this one. Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) did a fabulous job acting this part. It must have been hard as well seeing that it was so sad.

  • Me too =/

  • its amazing how a song can make the situation even better

  • Song:How To Save Life

it is quite sad and i nearly cried :-(

  • i DID cry :P

  • similar experience

  • this is heartbreaking

  • the song is bomb.. with this show..

  • this always makes me soo sad...

  • why is it titled "My lunch SAD!"??

  • The Episode is called "My lunch"

  • Well the episode is called (My Lunch) and SAD! becouse it is

  • This episode makes me sad :(

  • 0:29 you see one of the interns from the newest season.

  • This is probably my second favorite episode.

  • what is your fav

  • My favorite Episode would have to be. Either. My Finale because it did such a good job of bringing the show to a close. Or My Screw Up

  • yeah i like those ones to i also like my musical

  • Yeah that ones good cause you see it through the eyes of that patient.

  • :( fav eps

  • AWESOME WOHOOO!

  • Which episode and season is this?

  • 520

  • Season : 5

    Episode : 20

    i think^^

  • 1st time i watched this i cried.. 1st time i had ever cried from a movie/series.. its so great

  • this 3 min is best of scrubs of all time so emotional this 3 min is pretty much what makes this episode the best

  • I need to know the song!!!

  • how to save a life

  • the fray - how to save a life

  • how to save a life - the fray

  • this was relly sad the only thing that stoped me from crying was how epic dr cox's beard is

  • this is my second best episode in scrubs

    thanks to the uploader

  • awesome video. almost started crying.

  • i cried at this part, and i hardly ever cry at TV programmes!! expecially in comedies!!

  • this scene was perfect.

i always cry when i watch this.

  • ditto i have the song and when i hear it i cry

  • I watch Scrubs for these moments. The comedy is very hit and miss for me but the drama is always great. The guy who plays Dr Cox is an awesome actor.

  • this episode makes me bawl everytime.

RIP scrubs...the comedic world shall miss you

  • What do you mean RIP? They renewed it for a new season.

  • they did, but none of the main characters are going to be on, (like everyone, J.D., Turk, Carla, Dr. Cox, Elliot, Kelso...the Janitor, Ted, The Todd, those guys are probably still gonna be there)

so how are they gonna do the show without the main people? they're trying to revamp it with the interns being the new maine (like jo and sunny) but i doubt that will work.

  • Actually they said that Zach Braff(JD) would be in season 9 for 6 episodes.

  • Really? I heard something about it having Dr. Cox and Turk in it mainly or something. :^/

  • honestly who knows. I mean they did say that episode they premiered was the "FINAL" episode, plus I read on MSN that it got God awful ratings and no one really wants it. Bill Lawerence (the producer and creator of the show) even has moved on to a new show...so I think this is it guys. =( sad but true.

  • tht fukin sucks i loved scrubs ive been watching it since 2001 i think or 2

    sad!!!

  • it was pretty much confirmed according to scrubs hq, since the "jo" (or.. denise?) from season 8 will be a regular, cox and turk will be teaching or something, didnt quite get it.

  • Really!

  • what song is this

  • the song is How to Save a Life by The Fray. it's a great song.. sad episode..

  • the music jst adds to it

  • This episode and the episode after are my faves. Rare moments when I cry at the TV..... Of all shows, why does SCRUBS do this to me? haha.

  • Because Scrubs is the almighty show brought down from God himself?

  • I think this is the best Scrubs moment there is.

This music with Dr. Cox going beserk, I think it really shows human emotions. What I don't like is that scrubs has stopped with these kind of things and switched to pure nonsense comedie :( (still funny though).

  • Those type of moments in Scrubs are incredibly rare. And I totally agree with you, man.

  • Great acting, very emotional

  • this is the best television show ever. i have never laughed harder,or cried more ever.

  • Great Acting by the cast this episode.

  • this scene was so sad, but it really makes me respect Scrubs. prob the most emotional episode of scrubs ever.

  • I agree

  • some episodes like this one are just so deep they make me cry. beautiful though...

  • I know i cried to especially since was based on a true story.

  • Awesome awesome scene, I watched it over and over several times.

I think that because the show is mostly a comedy, when it gets to the dramatic parts it has much more impact then other 'only drama' shows such as E.R.

  • An outstanding episode in an excellent series.

  • This is one of my favourite scenes from scrubs...........Ever.

John C McGinley (Dr Cox) was brilliant in it

  • this is like one of the saddest scenes in scrubs ever. well written and acted. feel sorry for Dr Cox

  • Im not a big scrubs fan but this was a great scene

  • Wow I honestly do not comment on videos but the ignorance of 'PackageSeverance' Is just astonishing, first of all this video has to do with scrubs, not religion, if someone makes a connection to it good for them, they are emotionally intact which I have never heard of being a bad thing, you on the other hand, are just that guy that no one likes because he tries to take his views and beliefs and shove them down peoples throats in the rudest way possible, you my friend are a biggot.

  • aye sadest moment :(

  • this is one of the sadest moments in scrubs:'(

  • when i saw this on T.V i had a lump in my throat.

  • what is the name of the song ?

  • "How To Save a Life"

    by The Fray

  • how to save a life - the fray

  • after watching this clip I dont think u can grasp the fullness of it without seeing the full episode since the guy who dies isnt just a Patient of Dr Cox`s but he`s also his friend which is y I think it effects him so so badly since he not only couldnt save his Patient but he also couldnt save his friend

  • why would you people have a religon debate over something unrelated to scrubs? it ruins the moment!!!!

  • keep the opinionated athiest bullshit off videos where it doesn't belong.

  • what part of tht was atheist?

  • Cheers mayte

  • the fray - how to save a life

  • Does anybody know the name of this song?

  • how to save a life by the fray

  • you're such a stupid athiest whore

  • your level of "sophistication," such as it is, is a perfect match for a religious follower

  • and you're just the perfect match for the stereotype of all athiests being little know it all buttholes.

  • its fake? :o

    :P

keep the religion debate out of here, you spoil the 'scrubbin' love.

  • *sigh*

I agree religion is fake, but that isnt the point - i'd personally prefer that all the comments are DIRECTLY scrubbish, not a parallel.

  • just because daddy never hugged you doesn't mean you can go around slamming peoples' beliefs like that.

Whatever troubles is happening to you in your life right now, I'm terribly sorry for you. But no need to use the internet as your own personal slam diary. Alright?

  • hes a doctor

  • Carla at 2:18 *wow. i feel sorry for him.*

  • When Dr. Cox's getting furious in the room after his patient dies. One of his best scenes in the series of Scrubs.

  • I just love how Dr.Cox eyes i full of tears when he turns around

  • i love how john is emotional. he is such a great actor. wow. a lot of ppl like to fight a lot dont they? lol

  • Oh, yea. He's the go to guy for great emotional scenes.

  • I'm starting to wonder if PackageSeverance has any idea how many times in the past several months he has made a fool of himself. everyone knows that television is fake. but that doesnt mean that people can't get emotionally involved. and if you reply to this comment PackageSeverance, that shows just how sad your little life is. sad, because you have to carry on this little fight, which you have obviously lost time and time again, for over 7 months. so do us all a favor and dont reply ever again.

  • the music is called "how to save a life"

  • what is the music on the background?

  • or forget it

    i find out myself

  • "how to save a life" by The Fray

  • can the poster of this video disable comments please i tired of the bickering

  • this episode was the best one ever even though it was completely sad

this one and the one after this was also great, acting especially

  • what is the name of this song???

  • how to save a life - the fray

  • omg this part is so sad, i had a tear in my eye i also love this song now

  • there are moments in television that makes a person think that a television show is good.

then there are moments in television in which you know that there is something truly special in life that you are watching right now.

    this is the second.

  • EPIC

  • i remember this... and the music aswell... so sad..

  • I feel so bad when I watch this clip, I just wanna cry. D':

  • after 2 years of recovering. this song is still a dead depressing killer to me.. I wish i saved the life of my amigo.. Christopher Sares, amigo, you know i wouldve wanted to save you. it kills me each day when i think that i wish i couldve. but i guess icant. gone but not forgotten. take care up there.

  • This Clip Is What Made Me Love This song...

  • omg i was cryin

  • BEST TV CLIP EVER

  • Incredible clip, I couldn't believe how amazing the acting was in this episode. I love this show.

  • Can dr cox be a better actor?

I think probably not but this is what makes scrubs the brilliant show it is

Outstanding acting-few well placed (or be it in this case ironic) tunes and the way they handle serious issues so well

    Genius show

  • best scrubs moment

  • the song is The Fray - how to save a life

  • anyone know the song?

  • FAVORITE SCENE. EVER.

  • this is the most depressing scene out of any scene on TV.

  • i cried when i saw this ep johhny c(dr cox) is such a good actor

  • playing the song way too fast :<

  • agreed.

i don't remember it being this fast its first airing.

i think they sped it up to save time in syndication, like in My Musical

    it almost ruins it

  • What episode and season is this? i wanna find out what happens next

  • season 5 episode 20 i think

  • although this just a tv show, and just one of their episodes, it was based on the true story of three hospitalized patients dying from rabies after an organ transplant.

  • this was the first scrubs episode i cried at

  • oh my gosh, me too.

  • Dr Cox showing real emotion is always the worst thing

  • sometimes when i see this i get either really angry or really sad

  • It's fun to argue with people.

  • dr cox is the only character that i can really feel for

  • same.

  • its scenes like this that make scrubs one of the best shows there is. the way it makes you laugh so hard for the most part, makes you connect so much with the characters, then makes you feel every heart wrenching moment like this one. absolutely amazing!

  • can someone plz tell me what season this is from!!!! thanks everyone!

  • season 5 episode 20

  • i swear i cried on this episode so sad cos even tho its not real, it happens everyday in real world, reli touchin. scrubs is awesome!

  • such a sad scene gets me every time. and stop arguing guys

  • such a good show

its a comedy but it has its really meaningful momments

    wonderful episode!

  • best episode in the world

  • this one was amazing, i agree

  • I am convinced that this might be the greatest show ever made. To hell with 24, Seinfled, Married With Children, Sopranos.

Nothing beats Scrubs and its sad because it gets no where near the credit and recognition it deserves.

  • Erm, that's the point. Fuckwit.

  • That doesn't mean that it doesn't have meaning. Troll.

  • well thats not the point and i suggest that if you Gota problem, then you shouldnt watch Scrubs or talk to anoy of us who are huge fans of the show.
