The only let down is i think the screen should be 4" instead. apart from that the iphone 4... Great!

@scarlettbond At the time of doing this review 2 months ago I would have recommended the Desire HD, but then started having battery and slowdown issues, that is why I did an update video detailing that I switched back to the iphone 4.

@Lasuil Yes, when brand new the battery would last almost two days, this gradually got worse and was about 6-8 hours between charges, not good. Handset slowdown was with apps not closing or multitasking properly, after about a week it would be horrible, a restart would sort the issue.

@davomrmac so you just need to turn it off some times, to keep it optimal? Thing is I'm thinking of getting this instead of an iPhone as I can't afford to buy a handset (HTC is free) but I don't wanna get it if it needs charges that often...was that with heavy use?

To anyone considering buying this phone, it is worth every penny. I got mine 3 days ago. The only downfalls of it are the battery life (which isn't THAT bad) and the main speaker on the back (the one you use for listening to music, etc).

But there are so many great things about this phone that just over shadow it;'s flaws.

And yes, it is much better than an iPhone, I have had both.

Definitely worth thinking about getting.

brilliant phone, i got mine last week and i can say its worth the money. oh about the battery life. it can be depleted pretty fast depending on the app but it charges from empty to full in about 3 hours.

Hey fantasic review dave,Unfortunatly yes the IP4 has some minor issue's with customisation which you are aware of I'm sure,But i returned my Desire HD as it's had to many disslikes for me to keep it Very POOR Audio Quality on Captured Video,Task's running all the time,Screen not as responsive,Auto Focusing,Battery Life was apauling,No front Camera,Not as many app's,overall it's a good Android Phone,Loved the plus point's of Bluetooth,Flash Enabled,Massive Screen,Memmory Upgradable,Great Video:)
