Space Navigator is very cool, especially with Google Earth. But it is unfortunate that this video has very poor sound re: Narrator. Someone should have kicked the fool that was ruffling the freaking papers in the background before starting this demo. That's all you can hear throughout much of this video ... paper ruffling. Cool but the whole Google earth thing is a mixed blessing to me. On one hand, it has helped me when investigating areas I need to travel to but on the other I don't like the idea of so much spying and mapping going on. Can we ever really, get away from it all, again?

Yes, they could have all of the pictures on hard-drives in the computers (it's Google), but since the textures load, I believe that the pictures are streamed in, thus the faults are from the TED internet.
