  • ZOOM THE CAMERA OUT!

  • All I know is this camera guy sucks! Let's just look at one or two monitors instead of the whole thing. Cool though.

  • when this out and its free or no

  • I think they only made it cause they can't get permission to borrow a flying saucer. It's about as close as your gonna get to that any time soon. Looks pretty good.

  • The Matrix is coming

  • Danm technology, YOU SCARY!!!

  • Imagine them making this a free platform on which people could code games.

    Amazing sh*t.

  • ×_×

    OMG

    I likkkkkkkkkke the =]

  • Technology, chill the hell out.

  • no one should ever take for granted how astounding this is.

  • Space Navigator is very cool, especially with Google Earth. But it is unfortunate that this video has very poor sound re: Narrator. Someone should have kicked the fool that was ruffling the freaking papers in the background before starting this demo. That's all you can hear throughout much of this video ... paper ruffling. "A-Holes" !!!!

  • Google hides the holes at the poles.

  • ابدااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااااع

  • UFO flight simulator, just add some weapons and a few other players.....

  • wow

  • I have really 3D feeling in this reportage... solution is simple.. 4-5 monitors , strong machines and you can fly... amazing :)

I wonder .. is angle bee twin monitors important for this kind of experience?

  • Amazing

  • Pff.. its just google earth with a fancy display. Whats new here.

  • It really sucks these bad quality graphics in 2010!!!!!

  • @ThermalHD LOL its taken from satellite images...

  • @ThermalHD satellites have taken high quality images but government banned google from allowing high detail imagery due to security reasons

  • @ThermalHD

"It really sucks these bad quality graphics in 2010!!!!!!!"

What are you 5 years old?

Google earth is free, and it is a huge project. What do you expect? And no, that is not bad quality for a 3D map of the Earth.

  • "The Taj Mahal" voice search failed... kinda... you can tell it was manually guided into India. The search would've returned anything with 'The Taj Mahal' in it's name, I suspecting there's a few Indian Restaurants in the US with that name!

"The Taj Mahal India" would have been safer.

  • lights is right

  • ufo

  • They are flying !!!

    YAAYAYAYAYA

  • I feel like flying with a helicopter! Google rocks

  • OMG it is like you are in a satellite

  • this is not goona be free if it release thumbs up if u agree.;)

  • IS THIS OPEN SOURCE ? IT RUNS ON LINUX !

  • Wtf? It´s the Willy Wonka´s Elevator !!!

  • This reminds me of some dreams I have where I am flying over the earth but then I lose control of the speed and go flipping into the Stratosphere, nuts.

  • still doesnt show where saddam hid those nukes though ;-)

and still theres no fish in the sea and no cars on the road and no people on the streets. probably a simulation showing earth after the nuclear holocaust ;-)))

  • good for geography class i supp ose :-)

  • With guys and equipment like this available, I'm not gona visit the Nudist beach again. ha ha

    never again. never.

  • where is this at?

  • Dude! Where is this demo at??? I wanna go there ! (!+!=8(sideways))

  • would like to see the hardware requirements.

  • ألعن بليسك ياشيخ والله ياليت قولي لي أنا اه

  • I am thinking of buying it :P

  • is this real life?

  • OMFG .... its the most amazing thing i have ever seen damn its cool

  • OMG !!! =O

    this's Amazing !!!!!!!

  • around the world in seconds.

  • this is, without doubt, the coolest thing ive ever seen.

  • wow!!! its great......

  • God, those shots from the air to under water always make me uneasy... don't know why. - - - 0:52

  • I just want google earth to load the data that fast. My internet connection is plenty fast, but I still gotta wait for stuff to load.

  • 5 bucks says the U.S. government already has this in real time and in high deff

  • @guitarplayer4747 real time? use your brain ok?

  • Comment removed

  • chip is a cunt

  • Dam.cant wait till we can explore military underwater wrecks..dats guna be kewl..

  • yooo them ppl are mad!!! oh my days so amazing!!

  • Wow.

  • That's great can they make the internet faster so we can actually use this.

  • This is just like piloting the same spacecraft as in the "Flight of the Navigator".

    See you later Navigator!!!

  • This is exactly like what I envisioned the glass elevator from charlie and the chocolate factory to be like

  • "compliance!"

  • Once Google Earth supports high definition terrains and high quality polygon buildings (read: becomes practically realistic) moving around in this thing is going to cause a sickening vertigo.

  • Cool!

  • Awesome.Btw right now you have 666 ratings.

    2/27/10

  • meh... im still waiting for the home version of Lawnmower Man.

  • Don't they have that at GooglPlex for streetview?

  • This video has been entered into the 'Top 10 Technology Videos of the Week' battle at BattlingTube website.

  • Coollll!!!!

  • Holy crap! WOW... you are in a plane, in a Space Shuttle, in a Submarine! Wow... the ocean is just missing sea life! Awesome!!! I want one! hahahaha

  • So exciting : )

  • I imagine that is how it's like riding in a ufo.

  • flying around liberty city in a chopper is way cooler...

  • That guy is just goin at those chips at the begining!!!

  • WOW!!

  • There's coffee!

  • If the images actually looked half realistically it'd be awesome, but the quality of google earths images sucks even in their 'hotspots' which is supposed to be best quality.

  • If that was a real spaceship or something i wonder how fast it would have to be traveling to go all those places that fast lol

  • Cool but the whole Google earth thing is a mixed blessing to me. On one hand, it has helped me when investigating areas I need to travel to but on the other I don't like the idea of so much spying and mapping going on. Can we ever really, get away from it all, again?

  • Google Earth updates rarely, if at all. How can this be used for spying, when it only shows images of places that you could see in person at any time (not counting areas impossible to travel to, like thick forests and mountain peaks.)

  • THERE'S COFFEE!

  • run something like Crysis on this - now that would be impressive

  • Very underwhelmed - if they hook up 8 machines to do this why do are the textures on the buildings not popping in a lot faster? it's just Google Earth being run on a system which none of us will be able to afford (or even see).

  • Google Earth streams the pictures from the internet. How large do you think the file would be if you had all the pictures installed on your computer? Yes, they could have all of the pictures on hard-drives in the computers (it's Google), but since the textures load, I believe that the pictures are streamed in, thus the faults are from the TED internet.

  • cant you fly into area 51 then

  • Thank you Google and your 20% rule!

  • cool.

  • I am getting nausea

  • is it just google earth with many screens?

  • Go to 20 seconds in the vid. About 19 or 20 and hear what he says.

  • Nice technology, horrible presentation. It sounded like someone was unwrapping a candy bar next to the microphone for 4 minutes. Then I hear people in the background yelling about coffee. Why not just demo the thing in a zoo?

  • Am I the only one who doesn't think this is that cool?

  • feel good

  • Wow!!!

  • WHOOAAA thats mad!

  • one of the coolest things ever(YES EVER) but it have some downside when some people use it to spy

  • Au début La Défense- Paris.

  • Oh! It's fun!

  • Where's Charlie?

  • The Best way to teach Geography at schools!!! Imagine if we can put these machines and apps at schools... our kids will be really smart! This is a next generation thing!

  • I doubt.

  • amazing!

  • They can do this in real time. It's called the goernment. Hopefully this device has more than one application, or it might just end up in porn.

  • rule 34

  • This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!!

  • your mother

  • brilliant even jesus couldn't invent this

  • when they can do this with REALTIME data, then we can be nervous

  • who the fuck is the fat guy eating the whole time

  • this makes me think that maybe in the near (or far) future, humans will be able to travel "virtually" to any place on the world and conduct business as if they are really there. interesting technology

  • thats what the internet does numbnuts.

  • @bbcicecream8231

you obviously didn't read a word I said. isn't it amazing how many people like you are on the internet? people like you are nothing but a disease to our world. plain and simple...

  • I want one.

But I'll take the government equivalent thanks.

Im guessing they are working on more advanced shit then this.

Or should I say, I know you guys are working on more advanced shit.

How about you stop baby feeding us this kinda stuff and give us the goods.

  • who's the asshole eating snacks in the background?

  • jajajaaja

  • @jimmylikesbeans YEAH! ]>:(

  • amazing.

  • i want one

  • the other side, now the humans of erde(NOT ALL) are ready to developed more abaout there own reality wiht out have so many experiences...

logic, the fantasy make the virtual the virtual ist the creator of reality and that ist the ilussion of eveyone........

    master of masters

    perfect light and

    king of kings

    Mr Jesus super star

  • that is to expinsive for any normal guy to buy

  • 6 expensive portrait monitors and a track ball mouse? Does Mashable ever do anything original?

  • tracebooked!!!

  • Looks cool I must say...

  • Eventually, these things are going to become so sophisticated that people will choose to live in the virtual world rather than the real world.

  • They'll still be in the real world...

  • I highly doubt it, I mean, those would be cool, but people with the money to actually travel will surelly choose to do that in real life, but if it's going to be expensive that traveling, I'm sure lot of people will use that as a hobbie, but not the whole life.

  • a so common project !...

    All remake the whell. :-(

    But still impressive :-)

major problems are nor developping technologie,

    either having the computing power,

but it is sharing developpement and data.

    waiting on open source...

  • u could have vurtul google selfs in real time awesome

  • That's...amazing...making me feel motion sick though :D

  • Its like "Flight of the Navigator"

  • shutup fool.

  • Click on my name, for my sh*tty but F*cked up blog. Very mature language.

  • The US Military have had something like this for sometime now but in more detail. Every street in the world has been mapped meaning that US forces can train (or carry out operations) in any part of the world at any time.

  • @ludwigvonsteampole1 And they still get killed by roadside bombs. Shameful.

  • Jawdropping!!!

  • these guys are fucking geniuses

  • wow that shit is gonna make it so much easier for terrorist to plan an attack lol

  • im going to attack ur house faggot

  • You people seem to fail to realize the amount of coding that is required to do such a thing.

  • ...umm I don't care. Stop making crappy ass stuff like 'Amazing personal invasion' software and put us on the fuckin' moon!

  • @mariotaz could not agree more...We should also sort our problems out down here on Earth too.

  • thats tremendous. Click my name for some Unique uk underground music youve never heard before. from grime to bassline and rap. Uk producer going hard this year please subscribe

  • looks like more of an update to Google earth >_> can't wait to use this on my courier!

  • This is google earth with a big screen. I fail to see the big deal; it's nothing new.

  • um except for the fact that it's a wraparound view of 8 LCD screens providing a truly immersive experience of Google Earth and Street View...

  • Agreed. It's basically like an ipod touch only made bigger. lulz

  • It's Google earth on 8 screens that surround you.

    Whoo?

  • Doesn't this remind you of final fantasy 7. Google is catching up to square

  • we'll need a chocobo to roam earth

  • It's just Google Earth...

  • siiick...

  • Only thing that would be better is if the satellite constantly took pictures every second so you could view everything on Earth. But that would be spying and could be used for terrible things! *Maybe*

  • cooooooool !!

  • Cool! Reminds me of SimCity.

  • @MrRedPajamas it's not like they couldn't do that before with numerous other flight simulators

  • @MrRedPajamas U STUPID GUY. WHY U MAKE FUN. MUSLIMS NOT EXTREMISTS. U A STUPID GUY EXTREMIST

  • @jeremy8080

What do u mean with "fake" ?
