@LaughNowCryLater323 well in this vid I'm using an app called windowblinds, which you have to install first. then you get themes specifically for windowblinds. depending on your system and graphics card, it may slow it down. I believe there are some custom themes you can use that don't require any app, just a few mods within windows. I don't know too much about those, but check out sites like deviantart.

Hmm..not sure, when I click on a skin I like, it takes me to its page. Then theres a red download button next to the pic of the skin, I click that. It takes me to a new page that will have a link with the filename.wba I click that and it pops up with the download. If you're doing all that and it still doesn't work, I don't know what it could be, I know they have a limit to what u can dl unregistered but if you can't even get 1 then I have no idea.

open up Impulse and make sure you have the latest update installed. Also check to make sure you have the latest Windows service pack. If that doesn't help, contact their customer support. Let me know how you make out.

When I click download ______.wba it does nothing. Kind of like when I'm trying to download but it doesn't work so I have to open in a new window then it works. I think it's something to do with pop-up blocker but I turned it off and there's no right click option on the Download to open in new window.

man that's like the 5th person telling me they had that issue! I'm honestly not sure, but since you purchased it I'd definitely contact their tech support. also check to make sure your system meets the minimum requirements if you haven't already.

Also maybe try uninstalling and re-install. I would love to know how you make out though, this seems to be a popular issue. Just out of curiousity, does it do this with every theme you try?

also what is your windows color scheme set to? Try unloading wb, then in your appearance settings set it to windows aero, then run wb and apply a skin. Just an idea..I know some skins dont work right if your scheme is set to basic.

Yeah, I tried doing all of what you told me to do, I have well over the minimum requirements...and this is my 3rd time installing it, and it still isn't working.

I've tried messing around with the color schemes and all of that, but it just doesn't seem to work...I'll give tech support a call sometime

yeah it might depend on the theme, if it's really graphics intensive it could slow things down. I personally have not experienced any issues, if you exceed the minimum specs (see my previous comment) you should be fine. unless you download a theme from an untrusted source..then you could be in trouble.

some theme slow down your computer... make it like this, you don't want to make full installation for the theme setup.. just click on advance installation and install the most necessary program or skin to make your system runs a little faster and feels lighter....

this seems to be a popular issue though I haven't experienced it so I'm not sure. Some have just reinstalled and it worked. Also did you download the latest version? I know they just released a new one so maybe give that one a try. Also make sure you're system meets these specs:

Windows XP (32 bit)/Server 2003/Vista

Minimum screen resolution: 1024 width and 768 height

60MB free drive space

256MB RAM

I download a free trial of Windowblinds and tried it yesterday. I kind of like it. However, the skin I selected for my desktop not only changes the appearances of the desktop but also the appearances of my internet browser. That I dont like! Is there an option or button where you can deselect so the internet browser is not affected? By the way, I like your wallpaper. Where did you get it?

Yeah..open up windowblinds and click the "Settings" tab. Then click "Add per application setting" and browse for the app you don't want to skin, for example find iexplorer.exe in the Internet Explorer folder in Program Files. Then check the box next to "Ignore this application and do not skin it" then click OK then Apply changes.
