There is alot of ways to make your computer fast...keep your computer software updated on a daily basis,(antivirus, CCleaner, etc). make sure you deleted programs you dont use. Get more memory, or get a SSD, etc....its what ever work for you.

Hey BetaFlux, please respond to me. If I make it so my video card control panel doesn't start (Ati Control Center) will that mess it up or no? Like it has my ati oc setings and my vid card settings it happened when i dled my drivers. So, will it decrease gfx in games if i disable it or no? Ive done it and nothing i noticed seemed to happen wrong.

@MuskCo This is for troubleshooting your start up problems and that's what MSCONFIG is designed for, btw, if you want to keep a program and not uninstall it completely but you dont want it starting by itself everytime you load windows, you change the registry to turn the auto start off, gee what does msconfig do? also this is for tracking virus files if you watch the video.

I did it with my laptop and it worked great. then tried it on the desk top and I got this msg: "An access deined error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an administrator account to make the specific changes". What does it mean? and how do I get around it? thanks for any tips.

It means you are being blocked, it could be a virus that took away your admin rights. Something in the registry does not want you making changes, try my video on (hijackthis) its a pretty good program

OK, Right click on your start menu, click on properties, click on customize, click on advanced tab, scroll down and put a check mark in the run command. or use CTRL+ALT+DEL and bring up the task manager, goto file and new task.

If you are running XP it should not have anything in the start up utility that would stop you from logging on, try starting up in safe mode and log onto the admin account or choose "last know good configuration" at the safe mode screen.

hey man, i dont know if u know runescape, but there are 2 detail modes, 1 is low graphics, the other one(high detail) is very nice graphics(lights effects etc.) if u wanna see the graphics type this in youtube:

high graphics(high detail/hd): runescape hd.
