I think everyone should just stop debating. We believe in different things, get over it. I am athiest myself but I don't go around bashing others for what they believe. Not saying all christians do this but a lot of people question why I am athiest and all that. It's annoying. I've read the bible, and studied most of the major (and some minor) branches of the Abrahamic cults. I understand what bible-based cults claim "God's will" is. I've also studied several other major theistic religions, and understand what they claim "God's will" is.

The slaves existed in society at that time and Gods people had rules to live by that made the slave life much more valuable than the lives they had amongst non believers or simply those who were not Gods people.Also there was no promotion of slavery in the text shown. The NT you quoted was for slaves who had become Christians and advised them to serve their masters. A wise advice.

@VColossalV Thats what a slave would be a persons property with God or without God. Outside of Gods people there was no law concerning slaves. These laws were for the jews living in a cursed world. Gods chosen people lived under His law. The rest of the cursed world did not and were free to do as they wish with their slaves. This is not a promo of slavery. This is a permit but many slaves did get circumcised and live under the law and were redeemed. Gods people spent 400 yr as slaves

A few easy examples of lies : the moon is a light, bats are birds, rabbits chew cud, there's a mountain high enough to see the whole planet, the world will end in Jesus' generation, all prayers are answered, believers gain superpowers.
And of course blatant contradictions like "Thou Shall not Kill"...now go kill whoever I tell you to.

Research the history of the Canaanite religion (the start of biblegod). Read the Dead Sea Scrolls. Research how the bible was put together and how it evolved.

The moon orbits the earth to give us light at night…the moon never deviate from its orbit otherwise we will be in complete darkness. The sea provides us with water, the water goes back to the sea, it gives back to us…infinite cycle! The earth has an Ozone layer to protect us from the harmful radiations of the sun…someone is looking out for us? The creatures of the seas and air…amazing delicate beautiful designs…no designer? Look at the amazing cycles of life…the sun never runs out of energy, the earth, moon, and other planets do not deviate from its orbits. The earth orbits the sun in a precise calculated distance to provide enough heat for us to live, but not too much otherwise we will melt, and not too far otherwise we will freeze.

Most people are intelligent enough to question their faith the problem arises when both sides become intransigent & unwilling to accept each others position. Einstein accepted the fact that his friend Max Planck was a Christian but there is a very militant & intolerant form of atheism growing today. It just causes bad feeling.
