if its the bit you mean, its part of too long, about 6 minutes into the song. Dont think there no new stuff here, still fresh though, so bloody amazing!
This song is a mix between Too Long and Steam Machine from the Human After All CD. As from 1:33 on to 4:37, i really don't have a clue, although it sounds pretty familiar.
Yes you can download this in mp3 format. if you go to a web site called traviscastillo and go into the house section of 2006, down the bottom is the cochella set in full and split into tracks as well. u cant miss it DAFT PUNK is in bold
Can someone tell me what song are they playing at 1min40sec. I see another comment saying its very like Supermode Tell me why and iv thought that since i heard it in concert in Marley Park Dublin in August 2006 (still have not found out)
ok guys look, daft punk aren't dj's!!!!! They're a electronica band!!!!! All real dj's do is go to parties and play other bands music for the party, festival, celebration, ect..
Point is, Daft Punk is an Electronica Band, not 2 dj's
Daft Punk is a special case. Usually DJs have two turntables and play one song, then mix the other in matched in beat. Sometimes they'll play two songs that complement each other over each other in what's called a mashup. Other times they'll play the vocals of one song over a different one. To "remix" songs they can use stutters, scratches, etc or adjust the high, mid, and low frequencies to make the songs sound different.
In Daft Punk's case, they have a sequencer so they don't have to worry about adjusting the tempo of the song to get them beatmatched. But instead of turntables, they have computers, various mixers, keyboards to trigger the songs, and samplers. They have all the parts of their songs broken down into vocals, beats, melodies and so on, so they can play any song over each other with no interference.
they actually have 4 Moog Voyager racks(mix tracks together) 2 Behringer BCR2000 controllers(used for ultimate control of virtual synths, samplers, effects and signal processors), and 2 Lemur controllers(a 12" touch-screen music controller). very basic for a DJ set but still DP rules.
Heh Heh, "basic" my ass. I'm the biggest nerd I know (probably), and I have know idea what that means. And btw, anything touch-screen is automatically cutting-edge tech.
daft punk is one giant rave. every concert. all one big rave

kray, I'm not sure, but I think it's Aerodynamic slowed down.
it's the mystery song of their performance. :P
Phray81 4 years ago
hey what's the track at 1:33-ish?
krayola 4 years ago
I think it's brand new. Either that or it's some old obscure song of theirs. I'm hoping the CD will tell.

f1diva 4 years ago
I realized it probably was, but the distortion on it hides it so it's barely recognizable-which counts as new!
shadowman22122 4 years ago
Oop, no, I double-checked, f1diva's wrong. I'm right it is new.

I hadn't really thought about it until now, but that mystery bit in the middle sounds an awful lot like Veridis Quo...
Champiness 4 years ago
it's a reworking of an 80's song called "smalltown boy", by Bronski Beat.

it's the same samples.. just slow down with special sintetizers
