Getting Started: Xtreme N Dual Band Gigabit Router (DIR-825)

I have a modem and router in one SMC device from Rogers. There is no Ethernet cable in it to connect into my D-link router in the internet port so I can`t get any internet connection. There`s only thick wires running along underneath my carpet and a power plug, absolutely no ethernet cable. What should I do

does the router have to be connected to a storage device or a dekstop pc all the time for it to work??

@TheSuperstition95 Nope. The DIR-825 will work right out of the box... no PC required. A PC is recommended (no necessary) for configuration purposes, but otherwise you don't need a PC.
