You realize that it is hotter down there because it is not the sun, it is the sun reflecting off of the ground that makes it hot outside. That is why on a cold day, when you go into a stream of light inside, it is warm.

You guys are wrong about the glass. They are using the principle or a greenhouse, which is light may pass to heat up the pan, while the heat created may not pass the glass as the light did. So in laymens terms, light go in, heat no get out

2. aluminum foil reflects heat away from the egg. it does not absorb heat very well

3. the glass cover itself will reflect the sun's heat away from the pan

yea use black top or even better poor oil in it then put the egg in there but have the tin foil on bottom of the fan then the glass on top cuz the foil will heat the bottom it works trust me i did it when it was 98 Degrees just need the right tools and stuff.
