I use acupell in my superten but they fire like shit in my hw 99s. Webley Mosquitos on the other hand are great in 99s, i can hit a 5 p piece pellet after pellet at the club at 27 yards.
@deeds1957 Huge problem with guns, a wide variety of pellet types to try & different gun barrels like different pellets so It's a constant expensive struggle trying to find the best pellet for any particular gun & worse If you own several guns.
what were you shooting the pellets into when they came apart like that? i'm thinking maybe for small pests (a "fleshy" target) they might not be coming apart (?).
have you tried the Beeman Coated Hollowpoints? shooting them into my trap, 20 feet and at 490fps they flatten like pancakes! literally! and they seem to stay in one piece..... one large, thin flat piece of lead.
iv always found them to be good pellets for there take down ability. obviously with them being hollow points thel lack in range slightly. intresting scientific experiment though!! :)
@TamrynRimfire If I'd of found just the odd seperated pellet It might of been different but after finding so many seperated pellets, that's not just a one off.
Recovered pellets had been used from 10yds to 20yds.
what rifle were you using?

@007tallguy Various objects as seen in the penetration tests plus similar in off camera tests.
I agree with "fleshy" targets they shouldn't seperate, at least you know they could with things like bone or tough skin.

@OrangeHawk09 That's the way to do it.
Try it out for yourself.
I've used these for years in different rifles & surprised my presant rifle doesn't like them.
I'm also surprised to see what happens to them & how they seperate.

@s0000000p Over the years I've used these with success in several other rifles I've owned.
The're not accurate in my S400 though.and after finding the head seperates from the skirt I don't think I'll try them again.
If they work in your rifle & you get the results you want, that's all that's important.
