On one hand there is bellydance; elegant, flowing, seductive, utterly female movements. On the other hand there are gothic dancers; sickly white, stick-thin, angry-faced beings that are not seductive at all and hardly recognisable as women... An uneasy combination indeed.

@MLFive bellydancin is so beautiful n i love it, but u can see the same things almost all the time, shes not just a "gothic" she puts a lot of different styles n techniques in her dance, u can see martial arts in it eg. just try not to put labels on everything... u can expect everything from a tribal fusion performance, shes one of the most unique in the scene, not makin everythin that the indigo does, has her own style.

I've been studying with Sera for a couple of years now, and I can testify that this is both a) hard as hell and b) fun as hell. We all leave every class overwhelmed but excited to do it again. OK, I REALLY wish Sera would audition for "So You Think You Can Dance". I've been dying to see a belly dancer on that show, but I know straight belly dance (tribal or cabaret) won't cut it. In fact most tribal fusion I've seen wouldn't work either, but this certainly would. It's better than ANYTHING I've seen in the auditions before. The only caveats are the age limit is 30 and being able to learn and dance in other styles and with a partner is necessary to make it on the show. PLEASE! :-)

I watch this this and all of her video every day, and practice what she's taught me every day so that I don't get rusty, and hope to get a job so that I could continue going to her classes. And sera, I got back from Japan a while ago, just that my job decided to give somebody else my job position so I'm unemployed right now.
