  • Hey Sour-Kraut-slammer, when you refer to Obama, it's President Obama!! Got that you crippled ass mother fucker?

  • I thought Krauthammer was a neocon national security freak addicted to seeing his own murderous Reagan doctrine across the Middle East. Why is he talking about denying Americans healthcare?

  • This just means more money for Israel.

  • When I grow up, I want to be a Healthcare Insurance Company, so that I can screw over as many innocent Americans as possible through denial of care and exorbitant premiums. Thank you Charles Krauthammer for protecting my dream.

  • Obama just approved a bill giving them even more money because there's no public option. Congratulations.

  • why are the libs bitching about neocons??? lmao ..and on a serious note Obama has no vision or stomach for this ground offensive in afghanistan ...Again we are a center -right country and America is realizing his saul alinsky act ... we dont like socialism .. what kind of a grown man needs a goverment to take care of his health ?? do you realize how much it would fuck this country up

  • I believe that Obamas biggest problem may be a dysfunctional republican party vs. the tendency for the democrats to attach too many strings and $ to most of their programs. If the republican party was functioning in the best interest of both themselves and the nation, they would be proposing real alternatives and looking for comprises rather than tolerate the ridicules antics coming from Palin, Rush, Hanity, Beck, and Fox News that are outside influences which is only hurting their image & us.

  • I'd ruther die then have govenment healthcare.

  • Charles is always right...He should be the pres>>not the currect DOPE.

  • rude, did you know he is paralyzed?

  • Krauthammer hits the nail on the head.

  • This mofo looks like a zombie. He makes babies and kittens cry.

  • did you know he is paralyzed?

  • Krauthammer tells it like it is.

  • Would rather have no bill at all instead of a BILL WITHOUT THE PUBLIC OPTION.

Barack needs to insist he'll veto any bill that doesn't have THE PUBLIC OPTION.

  • liberals lose again!

  • He looks like a snapping turtle.

  • What kills me is we already have socialized medicine. Half the people are on some Gov. plan. Government controls the industry through regulation and mandates that have driven up cost. They set the prices for 1/2 the sector directly and indirectly the other 1/2. That is the problem. Congress and lobbyist for the industry pass the laws that benifit them at consumers expense. They done a lousy job with controlling cost, yet they want more control? We don't have a true free market system. We need one

  • Tamarlane

but Romney used his healthcare plan in the last election and like everything else, he's going to have to change position

I'd really like to see a principled republican run. They do exist.

  • I guess that technically, you aren't overriding the state law. They can continue to dictate how insurance companies in their state do business; but people can shop outside of their state.

This is what people should be discussing

Not a government takeover of healthcare as if that's the only way we can reform anything

  • I agree about tort reform too, Tamarlane. That's another part of the republicans' proposal; but dems won't do that because those lawyers help them win elections.

  • henleythe liberal cat

it has to do with state laws like MA that don't allow insurance companies to offer certain things such as high deductables with low rates

the bill would essentially override state laws which in most cases, I disagree with; but if you're talking about a government takeover of healthcare as an alternative(and that's exactly what you're talking about) then I think we need to override state laws with this bill written by a republican

  • Of course when compared to the Insurance Company Administrative costs (including huge bonuses awarded to execs) the amount awarded as damage for malpractice is small indeed.

Still the Ins Companies told us in Texas if we limited the amt that could be obtained in damages then Insurance Rates would go down (of course they didn't)

We were also told if we made sure everyone had car insurance the rates would go down (of course they didn't).

  • look this up if you truly are interested...

    Health Care Choice Act

  • nothing is preventing it right now... well dems who won't listen probably are; but the house energy and commerce committy approved a bill that allows interstate commerce for health insurance... a bill sponsored by a republican

  • henley the liberal cat

strange that you would ask how interstate commerce that allows us to shop for policies nationwide would reduce costs when you liberal wingnuts are trying to get your government control of takeover trojan horse through with the arguement that more competition would reduce costs

  • Rhiannon003 ... strange that you would suggest that interstate commerce would allows us to shop for policies nationwide (which I agree, may reduce costs) without being able to explain why that is not occurring today.

    What is your point?

  • MrCheesyliberal

republicans have a plan that does reduce costs, make it more accesible, portable and address the pre-existing condition problem...those are the problems MOST Americans want addressed

and most Americans realize your insistance on a government takeover of healthcare is exactly that... WE DON"T WANT IT

  • The public option is still on the table.

What started this was the administration telling the GOP and the insurance companies that they will accept any plan (even without a public option) that meets the same criteria = lower costs and access to all.

If you think the GOP and insurance companies are going to come up with a plan that lowers costs (translation = less profit) and provides insurance to all, then you're dreaming.

That's why the public option is still on the table.

  • Romney?

    please don't run Romney again

he is responsible for MA healthcare and has "changed" position on important issues for political reasons

McCain wasn't a great choice either

it took Reagan to get us out of the Carter mess... you need to run a SuperReagan this time

  • We ain't got no Reagan. Romney wasn't responsible for the mess in MA. He endorsed the dems plan there after all the pressures were brought to bear, but he vetoed a couple of atttempts first. He's is not perfect, but far and away a better candidate than Obama or McCain in the last election in my opinion.

  • he aboslutely does say

"as I've always said" just before he says something completely different and there has been no president in my lifetime who has "changed" what he has "always" said as much as this one

    WE DON"T TRUST HIM

  • Obama lies. He is a gifted liar. He is the Liar in Chief. He reminds us frequently, as he continues to lie, that he is the President of the United States. What is that? Does he believe his lies carry more weight as President than they did as candidate for president. Too bad we had such a weak contender in McCain, who was actually selected and supported by the liberal democrats because they knew he would be easier to beat than say, Romney. Oh well, we are stuck with him for now.

  • Krauthammer voted for Bush twice.

    He has no credibility. None.

  • Typical conservative GOP tacit to divide everything into liberal vs. conservative, Democrat vs. Republican, back vs. white, good vs. the evil doers. .

It's a distraction from the real issue that they never want to discuss because they cannot defend their plan or any solutions other then say NO to everything till 2010 in the hope that they survive.

  • While that may be true to some degree, are you so blind that you think the Dems/ Libs are above such tactics?

  • No, you are correct, and I should have stated that it's their current tacit on the health care debate.

Every time I ask what the GOP has offered as a alternative solution to the rising cost of health care and insurance, I get a talking points with no details.

  • You aren't even a good liar, henley

I have seen answers to your questions regarding republican suggestions to improve health care.

  • Yes, I have seen answers from my questions regarding the GOP proposals, but no details. For example:

... Open up health insurance competition across state lines like every other industry

Do you know what is preventing insurance companies from offering policies across state lines?

II would expect some push back with some details... Nope, just ignored.

Care to add or point me to the real proposal?

  • I have seen tort reform mentioned when addressing your interest in this topic. If you need clarification on how that would work then you aren't prepared to deal with the issue.

  • TAMARLANE ... That is very funny. If I need clarification on a GOP talking point, then I not prepared to deal with the problem?

You are proving my point. The GOP claims to have a better idea, throws out some talking points, then can't give any details.

  • Tort reform is a GOP talking point? Why?

True enough I have never heard Obama or the dems mention tort reform in connection with health care costs. Probably because of the massive funding provided the dems by the legal profession.

No problem if you don't understand.

  • TAMARLANE ... No understand, you are trying to change the topic.

I didn't ask about Tort reform in this thread. But I have had push back from others like 2010GOP to suggested this option, and again, with no details.

  • Malpractice insurance would be reduced so significantly by introducing caps on awards, and penalties for frivolous litigations that it is the easiest most effective single stroke that would reduce insurance costs and reduce unnecessary tests called for by Doctors to protect themselves against law suits, and yes, even some unnecessary tests because

  • some doctors pad their invoices.

  • TAMARLANE ... Since you want to change the subject to Tort Reform, ok.

Would the Tort Reform that the GOP is suggesting disallow a patient from suing there doctor for gross negligence?

  • GOP talking point:"Open up health insurance competition across state lines like every other industry"

Problem: Its not the fed govt that is stopping the Ins industry in offering policies across state lines. It's a Insurance Co business decision based on a number of factors, including the laws & insurance reg's in the state. Should the fed override all 50 state insurance commissioners? States rights issue? Any guarantee that the insurance industry will expand their business?

  • Why Obamacare is sinking, on the sidebar to the right is the best summary I have found lately about this universal health care proposal by Obama and company.

  • Barack is losing Public support because he seems to be giving into the Insurance Company.

Barack needs to come back now and say WE MUST HAVE THE PUBLIC OPTION!

  • I hope the public option does not pass.

Maybe then progressives will finally have the motivation to ditch the democratic party and start a new party.

  • just because a news channel has the most views, doesnt make what the say any more true or false.

fox constantly and sonsistantly goes against the facts. Its what they get paid to do

dont rely on reporters and anchormen, find info out for yourselves, and from multiple sources

its not hard to find out whats in teh health bill. its posted on the internet. have a read

no? yea i know, most people say they dont want to be told what to do but they are being told what to think

  • this guy's always right...just like he was about Iraq...LOLOLOLOL...

  • you don't hear patriotic Americans trying to silence the wingnuts on MSNBC

if you want to watch that liberal garbage, go ahead

    live and let live

stop trying to silence the only network that DARES to give an alternative position

and while you're telling people that FOX is the network they should be listening to for ANY opposing views at all, let me suggest CSPAN too

neither of those two are wingnut, liberal networks

  • we don't trust people who lie to us and we trust people who lie ABOUT us

we certainly don't trust them with our health care

the attempted silencing of people who disagree with them is not only frustrating, it's scarey

  • Fascism Is as Fascism Does

Our lawless federal government encroaches into ever more sectors of our lives and livelihoods, none of which it has ANY authority to either tax or spend for under the US Constitution.

The federal government is granted only seventeen (17) enumerated powers under which to tax and-or spend, and Universal Happiness isn't one of them; nor is universal anything; nor are any of their Ponzi-type entitlement programs.

    LIBERAL FASCISM.

  • Unlike carrying guns outside presidential townhall meetings, making posters of the president looking like the joker, then Hitler screaming "Socialist", then "He IS Hitler" while shouting other down?

    You're a pile of crazy...

  • What goes around comes back around, you spineless liberal piece of garbage! BOO FREAKING WHO...Get over it and get a life!

  • Don't you have a townhall to shout down people at farthat?

  • "Unlike carrying guns ..." -- indeed, the polar opposite. Let me explain the difference to you:

Yours is an complaint over citizens who have no government authority whatsoever, whereas my post regards agents of government lawlessly commandeering federal powers not granted to them. Your inability to discriminate between the two pales in comparison to your perfect inversion thereof.

In other words, your politics would give "pile of crazy" a bad name, jackass.

  • The difference is you LOST an election. If you don't like it, you are free to move...

  • Once their twaddle is exposed, the fascist expresses their joy over governing against the will of the people.

You're not dumb enough to not know your statement is nonsensical within the context of this thread. The reason you must avoid my point is that even YOU are keenly aware you are wrong.

In that regard, what all of America is realizing is that the NATION lost in this election. And we're doing something about it, as is shown by the protesters and the polls.

  • I find it interesting you scream "Fascism", yet intentionally vote "thumbs down" on my post, & thumbs up on yourself with your multiple accounts. Classy. Projection much?

The "will of the people" was voiced on November 4th, 2008. It was called the presidential election. You lost, move on. If you don't want to, there's the door ace...

  • Bolger, that is not the way it works. The way it works is "Never give a inch" Never say die. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. We have only just begun to fight. Give me liberty or give me death. All that American spirit crap.

  • Pretty sure America told you how it work on November 4th. "Begun to fight". You're a "birther", "tea bagger", "townhall shouter" who most main stream Americans look at as a total nut. Good luck with that. If your idea of "fighting" is to "crazy it up", the national guard/army/police will put you down like a rabid dog. Since that's what you are acting like...

  • Show me a happy loser, and I will show you an idiot.

  • You'll get no more attention from me. I suggest heavy medication, from the new healthcare bill coming...

  • I find it interesting that you shamelessly move-on from your last exposed fraud to a new wad of them.

As for the citizenry, they CONTINUE to express their will, contrary to your fascist notion of gov't.

Much like the first pair of him & her Democrat lawyers who defrauded their way into the White House by aping Republican tax cutters, Obama's hollow slogans are getting filled in with BARRELS of legislative ink, and America is rejecting it all.

The protesters show that, and the poll show that.

  • You have representation jack. McCain was your choice, he didn't win. Screaming "the citizenry, they CONTINUE to express their will, contrary to your fascist notion of gov't" makes you a crack job, nothing more. If you don't like Democratic elections or the results of them, there's the fucking door...

  • "You have representation jack." -- I made no claim to the contrary, jackass.

"McCain was your choice" -- no, but that's irrelevant, except that McLiberal was the RINO candidate favored by the 99%-Democrat fraud machine called the "Free Press".

Regardless of all your irrelevancies, my point stands; America is rejecting Obama's socialist policies, now that his hollow slogans are filled in with legislative ink.

    Give reality a chance.

  • Um, you did exactly that...

"What all of America is realizing is that the NATION lost in this election. And we're doing something about it"

NO, the neo-conservative movement LOST an election. What are you going to "do about it"? Scream "Socialist", "no birth certificate", & "Hilter" or "Nazi" by shouting people down in townhalls is all I've seen. The nation has moved on from Bush's horrible policies that almost destroyed our country in every possible way. You're in a river in Egypt, denile

  • Your attempt to shoehorn my statement into your words is amusing, though I just don't accept that you're unable to grasp MY point thereof.

Your need to pose as an idiot by asking "what are you going to do about it" is more amusing, given that protesting against Obama-Care is currently the largest national news story, and has been so for the past month or so.

As for denial, it's a mental disorder; evidently REQUIRED by your political bent.

  • I have no problem at all with the election results.

It's what Obama is DOING that I disagree with. I can disagree with some of his policies - right? I think liberals called it "patriotic dissent".

    And get used to it.

  • EXACTLY!

  • Yes you do. See, when America elects a person, they elect their policy, ideas, & governence. What he said he would do while campaigning for president, he is now doing. You don't like that. Well my friend, tough shit. You lost the election. Screaming, "Heil Hilter", "Socialist", "Death Panels", carrying loaded guns outside of presidential townhalls, "birthers", shouting people down isn't "patriotic dissent". It's using hate & lies while trying to take something you lost back by force. Not today

  • Nice straw man argument there.

And I couldn't disagree more with you that he is DOING WHAT HE SAID HE'S DO.

You are a partisan to the core. And you obviously hate dissent. Now. But I bet you were first in line when there was a republican president'

You no doubt have some good views on this and that, but when you speak like you do you lose all credibilty. Obama is your team, and you will root for your team no matter what.

    You are a hypocrite.

  • With reguardes to healthcare reform he most certainly is...

Not my "team". I'm an independent. I simply don't like when people, like you, decide to actively use hate, lies, & fear solely to incite violence because you lost an election. There are things Obama has done/didn't do that anger me. NSA warantless tapping continuing, Iraq, repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell to name a few...

  • I didn't lose anything. I VOTED for the man. The option was to vote for my state senator, which was worse.

But - this is not the Obama that I voted for.

    Talk about buyers remorse.

I don't lie. Or use fear - or hate. You don't even know me. You just assume things. And obviously just throw out wild accusastions. That's a big part of the problem with our political system now.

And you are also part of the problem - not the answer.

  • You said, "I think liberals called it "patriotic dissent"."

Then you decide to lie & say, "I voted for the man". You don't say things like that because he IS liberal nutsack. You're fucking insane. Find a bridge, you're a neo-con spam account. Fuck off...

  • It's Not just Tylers"multiple" accounts,...I voted thumbs down on you comment because after reading your posts I have decided that you are just another left wing in denial of what is happening. I gave yopu thumbs down becausemuch like Tyler...you are freaking idiot and are making idiotic comment. Guess what...I am no republican either...I am an independent and if you look at the polling of independents...we are moving against Obama now that he has poved to be a socialist hack.

  • Says the "birther" "teabagger" on a fox noise clip with the neo-con "How The World Works" subscription. Neat...

    You people are clowns...

  • A dead parrot.

    Good riddance.

  • This guy uses too much of Fox News adverstiser products, such as Flo MAx and Metamucil.

Fox News: News for dying old white men.

  • Do you watch Fox news?

  • Fox even dominates the 25 - 54 age group.

Against MSNBC it's an almost two-to-one advantage.

Yes, the older viewers will "stroke-out" as you so nicely put it. But younger viewers are watching less and less news.

  • You make one big assumption: Fox News provides news.

    It does not.

  • Who does provide new in your opinion?

  • Fox news, we distort, you can't decide...

  • This man is a retarded looking MTF,lol Who the hell listens to this Krauthammer, even his name is retarded this guy hates the world, because of his ridiculous face and name. only retards like the neo-cons pay attention to this jerk.

  • The thing is this is all just speculation, we have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. It's not over until it's over. There's a very high chance, in my opinion, that the public option will pass but we still have to wait and see.

  • This is rediculous, have the american people not spoke enough against a public program? Co-op or not, our govt needs to stop spending

  • woot!

    Thank god.

  • NO Government option.

We do not need a personal nanny.

Leave it 100% optional! With No strings attached.

  • Barack must sign NO Health Care bill unless it has a Public Option for without it the bill will be a joke & health care costs will continue to go up.

  • 6 months in power and they're all ready in shambles. Why to go Democrats.

  • he and the other neocons are really afraid single payer will pull from the gigantic military budget. They want eternal worldwide war and nothing less. They will bankrupt this country and laugh all the way to the bank.

  • Wrong numb-nuts! The MAJORITY of people who will fund this massive spending bill (that's what it is) are taxpayers, who like me, are sick of the left-wing agenda....TAX & SPEND! Bush was no better, but Obama ran as a centrist, and governs as a liberal, People are sick of the BS spending....Stimulus, S-Chip, Cap & Tarde, Cars for Clunkers...... What's next, flat screens for libs!? We can not sustain this spending spree Congress is on.

  • did he ran as a centrist, not as a liberal, I much have been fallowing different election then you?

BTW... did you vote for him?

  • Republictards!! You are going down on health care big time. Everyone finally got tired of all your crap at town halls, and all the outright lies spewed forth by crazed lunatic republic party members.

The public option is back on the table big time. For every crazed shithead republican there are two progressives that want health care with a public option.

  • Why do you say that public option is back on the table?

I´ve been following this and been quite deppressed that Obama and co. seems to be loosing. So I ask you, where have your heard/ read anything that say´s public option is back on the table.

  • The reason the Public Option is back on the table is that a petition is going around in the House that has already been signed by about 75 members stating they won't vote for a bill unless it has a Public Options

They'll only have to get about 10 Senators to sign such a petition in the Sen to make a strong statement there

If this # grows what u r likely to see is Republicans who'll now vote for any Health Care Reform bill w/o the public option & u could have more GOPers for that bill than Dems

  • dream on

  • it is an EX healthcare bill

  • Government-run health care will be a practice of "How Not To Be Seen." Note the double-entente there. Mmm.. haha.

  • It's a stiff! Bereft of life it rests in peace! It's run down the curtain and join the Choir and Vestibule. If O-hole hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushing up the daises.

  • Love that analogy
