  • good speed out the hole. try some stranding overhead partials like paul anderson used to do and you'll be doing 8-15reps with that weight in 3-6months.

  • And both were probably quarter squats, highschool football players do not know how to lift weights properly.

  • aye. most dont realise the jump in weight difference when you get your thighs parallel to the ground, and most dont like that they cant lift as much so they never squat properly.

  • I did 4 reps with 400 lbs. or 182,5kgs in olympic style squat,before i graduated highschool, weighing 184lbs or 84kgs. Didn't even focus on squats in my training...

    Nice attempt at that OHS, very close! Be careful with those elbows.

  • your grip looks really close for someone that has fair arm length, if your grip was wider you can lock your shoulders more and youll be more stable and power your way up easier.

  • It's obvious you have the strength to do it, you certainly went throught the hardest part easily. Maybe with a tad more concentration and visualisation, you would have done it?

  • God, that looked dengerous. Didn't you try do Snatch balances + OH Squats? That's cool Idea to use chains or rope to do OH stuff. Unfortunatlly I grip collar to collar in my snaches. However I have to try it!!!

  • Yeah I have done some drop snatches w/ OH Squats. I think I worked up into the 250lbs range. I know you can't quite see the rings on the bar but hands are on the inside of the rings. A whole hand width closer than what I snatch with. Dangerous? its like having sex in a car crash.

  • Steve it would have been much stronger if I would have made the damn thing. Its obvious I had the strength to do it but my balance was off.
