Just add up all the ingredients used. If you are only getting 360 calories then you must be using small wraps, etc. The ones that I have there is 195 calories in just the wrap alone, then add in the extras... Banana 120. Peanut butter 300. Cheese slice 80. That brings it up to 695 calories. If you want to hit 700, just gob on an extra dab of peanut butter LOL
@leemhayward lol oh! ok i see just took alook at my wrap its only 130 calories and i did'nt know peanut butter had that much calories! i guess its about 150 calories per scoop! i see! thanks man i eat about 3 a day! is that enough!
i tried it and its really good but i was looking at the calorie in take and to me it does'nt match up to 700 calories! the most is 360 in this snack wrap!
Thank you man...I really like it---in 2 moths I gained 7 Ibs with this, I use to eat it EVERY day 2 time-Morning and Before bed ---thanks a lot buddy (:
@MrAmericanboss Eating this before bed is not the most clever thing to do because it contains a lot of carbs which is not the proper way to feed your body before bed time. Your body needs protein, slow ones. Eat a can of tuna along with some nuts and a glass for milk. The best way!
Just did this with slices of Black Diamond Matble block cheese. Was very good but I think I put to much peanut butter on. Downed a bottle and a half of water with it. I love Natural PB but damn, I am afriad I am gunna choke on this stuff one day haha.
man im not at all an expert, but wouldn't real cheese be better then cheese slices? the processed slices are usually high in sodium as opposed to the real cheese slices
@leemhayward well at least you didn't use ketchup bro lol. Now THAT is what creeps me the hell out about people...err inappropriate food use with ketchup I mean. I do like ketchup but when people use it with eggs or bananas...yuck. ;-/
Lee, I just got home from football practice. I walked in the kitchen, and I saw where mom bought bananas. So I made the wrap, I love the combo. the cheese really set it off good, it was great. I ate 2!
This is great ! My uncle showed me a similiar sandwich 40 years ago, I am a fast oxidizer, therefore a little high strung at times, he thought this was good for my blood sugar levels. We made a sandwich from , (1 ) 2 pieces homemade bread (2) 1 banana (3) 1 scoop peanut butter (4) 2 slices cheddar cheese and lastly (5) 1 Tblsp of Native(local) honey. Eating honey local to your area ,has been known to help with some allergies as well.
If you don't like cheese, then don't eat cheese... It's a simple as that. The purpose of this video was just to show some quick high calorie snack ideas that don't require any cooking and very little prep time.
The best thing to do here is look on the labels of the wraps, peanut butter, cheese slices, etc. that you are using and simply add up the numbers. Different brands may have different numbers. But the ones I used for the wrap in this video contained approx: 30 grams of protein, 70 grams of carbs, and 30 grams of fat.
@leemhayward hey lee have you ever heard of the book eat right for your type? essentially the premise deals with eating foods that are inherit to our ancestry based on our blood type. Fore ex, im type o, so no wheat gluten. Would you consider those kinds of books/diets useful?(especially in bodybuilding?)
I just made one of these after coming home from the gym.
I took my 2 scoop gold standard whey shake (mixed with milk), then one of these bad boys, and a glass of milk. Such a great meal, feel extremely full and energetic even after my workout!
Only thing i didn't like was how friggin chewy it was xD, but it was delicious.
@leemhayward thanks lee, once again providing us with some useful ideas. Just made it and it was delicious but for me 2 spoons does it because 3 spoons is two sweet!
I have 10 days left in my cutting cycle...I've cut 13 pounds this month. A lot is from your input! Back to bulking afterwards, I have been using my flax-seed natural PB for awhile and it is awesome. I haven't had this wight the wrap, mostly on the rice cakes with them. Can't wait to try it!
Lee eating stuff like this does not let me cut out I do alot of cardio and still can not cut. Should I just get bigger in muscle would that help me cut out
Lee I have a question about the natural pb.Do you store it in the fridge or outside the fridge? I find that when I leave it in the fridge for a while it gets a bit hard so I have to let it cool off outside for a bit (It's the same brand too lol)
Sure, you could add that. The idea here is just to have a quick high calorie snack that doesn't require any cooking and very little prep time. So cottage cheese could work well.
@leemhayward When my dad was in the Marines, he told me about how they used to put PB in chicken noodle soup to up the protein and calorie content, so this combo wasn't that unusual for me to see.
Hey Leem. I am skinny, always been a hardgainer, and now 38yo. Is it ok to eat this wrap with so many calories and fat at my age? If I were still 19yo, I wouldn't even question eating this. I would just eat it. But now at my age, even though it's still hard to gain weight (muscle), I worry that my metabolism might not be as fast and I am afraid of putting on fat. I want to gain muscle with hardly any fat. Eating lots of calories in your teens and 20s is great, but I worry since I'm over 35.
Going through high calorie cycles is still the best way to gain muscular bodyweight. I actually cover a complete diet and training cycle program for gaining lean muscular body weight without gaining bodyfat in the 21-Day Fast Mass Building Program. If you are struggling with gaining lean mass it may be worth looking into.
Trying it right now for brekkie. When I put the cheese on it, I was just thinking to myself 'seriously? do i wanna eat this?' but it reallly works well.
smart idea man. thnx for the tips....i also have one question... wats da best workout for me cuz i wanna build my chest and im only 14...ive been working out for at least 4 weeks n i am seing results on my arms n triceps n shoulders but my chest isnt as great
This is a really good way to gain that extra weight I'm looking for, but I am not a big fan of bananas at all. lol Is there a way to substitute that or any other weight gainers you could suggest? This is still a really good idea, its just that banans aren't agreeable with my taste buds. lol Still willing to give it a shot though. Thanks for the nutrition upload. :-)
If you don't like a certain food, than don't eat it... Simple as that. There is no rule written in stone saying you have to eat bananas (unless you are a monkey of course :-)
You don't have to get fat to gain muscle, but you have to be in a caloric surplus. One of the easiest ways to increase your caloric intake is to increase your intake of healthy fats from foods such as natural peanut butter.
This would be for one snack during the day, It's just a snack food suggestion, it's not like you have to eat this day in and day out in order to gain size.
I usually use a whole wheat wrap, raisins, peanut butter, banana, and honey. Not sure how many calories that is but it's crazy good. I'm 6'2" 200 lbs. I treat food like medicine. Crazy how hard it is to be an ectomorph and love BBing..
Obviously we strive to gain mostly lean muscle, but in the real world most people will gain a combination of lean muscle, bodyfat, and water weight. It's virtually impossible to gain a pound of solid muscle for every pound of bodyweight gained. That's why bodybuilders cycle between phases of high calorie mass building and lower calorie fat burning.
You can make all kinds of wraps, this was simply a quick and easy high calorie snack because there is no cooking and very little prep time. But you can get as creative as you like in the kitchen.
I've been eating a lot of peanut butter & banana sandwiches with whole wheat bread lately because I heard Jack Lalanne say peanut butter sandwiches were good to help gain weight. I would eat the peanut butter sandwich for a snack but if I still felt hungry I would make a quesadilla after words. I was laughing my ass off when I saw you combine them all in 1 :-D
When I was in college and my main goal was "beefing up" I ate peanut butter sandwiches almost everyday for lunch. I used to take 4 PB and Jelly sandwiches, 2 chicken breasts, and a gallon jug of water with me to school every day. Yes people made fun of me, but it worked :-)
@leemhayward people always make fun of me for bringing a crap load of food to, haha and i am constantly walking around with a bottle of water in my hand xD, i'm known as the guy with the water bottle hahahahaah

Normally your meals look delicious, but Lee, this looks.... well disgusting. Nothing on you brother, I just can't imagine putting cheese all up and down my banana.

Normally your meals look delicious, but Lee, this looks.... well disgusting. Nothing on you brother, I just can't imagine putting cheese all up and down my banana.

@ClarkDangerDrums agreed... no veggies or "crunchy" materials at all.. i would throw up
some tomatoes or sliced cucumbers or even jalapenoes would make it edible for me

@XPokeBreakDanceX
It's all calorie dense food... The large wrap, peanut butter, banana, & cheese... When you add it up it's approx. 700 calories.

@23Adam23
Peanut butter and cheese is awesome, I found out about that combo from a guy I used to go to school with. He always ate PB and cheese sandwiches :-)

@leemhayward I have tremendous respect for you, lee, and I have learned from you, but the cheese n peanut butter combo sounds...yuck, man:)

@leemhayward i learned that bananas and american cheese go well together from mister roger's neighborhood but now that i'm allergic to dairy i have to omit the cheese :(
