  • I find it funny, that moment at 3:39 when Michael breaks character, even if it's just for a moment. It is impossible to keep a straight face when Todd shows up.

  • Wrong sir. Cow was invented by Shakespeare!

  • @lastrachris Cow is derivated from old norse ko which gave cow in english, Kuh in german and Ko in Danish, Swedish. All of those mean cow.

    Your argument is invalid, sir.

  • Is there something like Anglish for German?

I mean, German and English are just very very similar (though German has a little less Latin words in it. take that Romans!), so there should be a similar difference.

  • I think I'll be there, I've gotta wait till' 12/31/9999 to play Xbox again.

  • @vsauce

Did you know that the word "O.K"/"Okay" is actually Greek? It stands for "Ola Kala" which that means everything is fine. This word was made by the Greek pilots of WWI and because Greece was in the Allies, the other countries in the Allies started using that word also and it took a place in the English dictionary.

  • @CYDubstep ... The first written evidence of OK in English was in 1815 ... That's about 100 years before your theory. The most likely source is the Choctaw word okeh.

  • @SgtAnWulf Okeh is an insult I think, I don't think the source is from that.

  • "anglish" what black people say when they said english

  • ENGRISH!

  • @botrobasi I wouldn't be surprised if engrish is its own hidden subculture of a language in various parts of asia where english is widely available to be learned. :P

  • the English language doesn't use words from other languages, it knocks them out in a dark ally and takes the loose grammar in their pockets.

  • poor research!

  • I have always wondered if this, does he voice over the videos?

  • Striptease at 2:31

  • I'm actually surprised with your dialog and about the way you explain things.

  • Frozen water, Frozen water, Infant!

    Ice, Ice, Baby!

  • @vsauce dear vsauce why do you read this as Ang-lans? Ang-land? Ang-lish??

The first letter A in any case will have a sound as "R in alphabet"in this words.

"Angeln, also known as Anglia (German: Angeln (argn or ugn), Danish: Angel (arn), Latin: Anglia (arnglia))"

Btw today in Russian language we always use the word "Англия" (A(r)nglia) when talking about England :-)

  • @LetmekissU1000times In Proto-Anglish (spoken about 200 CE), if "a" was followed by a nasal ("m", "n" and "ng") it became "ae" which eventually became "e" pronounced like the "e" in "pet". It wasn't until Middle English, ca. 1400 CE, that a vowel followed by "nd" or "ng" became long, and then the "e" received the pronunciation it has today.

  • YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE AN INDIAN ACCENT!

  • "In fact, there were so many Angles there, you may as well have called it Angle-land...Angleland.....England."

    MINDFUCK!!!

  • Id be more worried about forgetting about the time capsule lol
