  • Great song, but omg, what a horrible video! XD

  • Wow! What a tune and memories of back in the day when I was in the good ol' U.S.Air force..

Glen Campbell will always be my country hero!!

  • Is Rhinestone somehow connected to the river Rhine?

Sorry I ask. Am from Germany

  • @ArmandoBellagio Absolutely my friend, the first rhinestones were extracted from the bottom of that river and were considered fantasy diamonds.

  • @ArmandoBellagio Is nix anderes als ein Strass-Steinchen ;)

  • !!! GREAT - FROM GERMANY !!!

  • One of the best of the best! I love his new song "Ghost on a Canvas".

  • LOL well Glen you are not walking down Broadway here!Look at those jeans- my goodness. The horse! Ah the seventies.

  • Where the hell are people getting this idea that Campbell was gay?

  • The 70's were so with a lack of a better word,..... Homosexual.

  • my fave song when I was a kid!!

  • @slapurmommaz MINE TOO! My Mom had it played on the radio for me when she had to be in the hospital on my 6th birthday.

  • @michaelangela2 you mus be like 13 yrs old who uses the word troll lol loser ,keep on ridin gay cowboy haha

  • Good music

  • Just saw Glenn in Reno on his farewell tour, he opened with this song. It was great to get to see him with some of his kids playing his classics and some new songs.

  • Back when you needed TALENT to be in the charts

  • Glen always had those backup strings that gave so much depth to his music. God bless you and keep you Glen.

  • @jumpingjesus yeah what he said

  • From 1:30 on he starts rubbing his Dick with his left Pointer..lil bit weird

  • @jumpingjesus1 Question is, why were you watching his crotch?

  • @usagora not with intension..it was just too obvious

  • look e like I rode it above your all slander. even abbey national bank!

  • Jimmy Mitchell RIP

  • Music videos in their infancy! This cracks me up, but I love it and love Glen's music, always.

  • Glenn is and will always be the man.

  • I think my parents must have listened to this when I was younger... I saw the title online, and suddenly realized I knew the words and tune to the chorus, and have had it stuck in my head for a while now. 0_o

    Great song, though!

  • Without this man music would suck

  • it, a good song

  • Used to think this was "Nine-stone Cowboy".

  • i like you rhinestone cowboy

  • @Beatlesonlyblog "not unlike" means "like"

  • Such a good song! Thank you, GC!!

  • The six people that disliked this...secretly they want to be a Rhinestone Cowboy too ;)

  • Wow, this is a TERRIBLE cover of a David Hasselhoff Song

  • @JohnnyExcitement Campbell's version came first, so Hasselhoff's version is a cover of this.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan I think this person's on a wind up. ;-) No-one could ever really think Glen covered a Hasselhoff song. Well, no-one of sound mind. Hehe

  • Chin up Glen. There's plenty more good years left in you.

  • Like a rhinestone cowboy!

  • this song sounds soo queer lmao

  • @codeblak4 the only thing ''queer'' about this song is you . I'd rather listen to Glen Campbell than ANY of your stuck-up faggot rappers such as 50 cent , wiz kalifa , or gucci , All they ever sing about is drugs , money , and sex . Glen Campbell's songs are timeless unlike your songs '' bout da wite bitchez in ma brig cock '' .

  • @gillamfarms whats wrong with money n wite bitches lol,,you can have ur queer rhinstone cowboys and take a ride to brokeback mountain ya queer lmao you probly suck major cock ya fagbag

  • @codeblak4 I'm not saying that I love this song what I'm saying rap is repetitive and autotuned shit . Back in this songs day you had to have talent nowadays even Barack or Hillary can ''sing'' . Oh by the way call me a queer with a five year old and three year old boy running around my home .

  • @codeblak4 Troll.

  • @gillamfarms There's always one that think's he sounds 'sooo today' with the way they talk. At the end of the day..he/she can just about string a sentence together in English. Just best to give him a cyberworld pat on the head in pity, really. ;-p

  • Glen was, and still is one of the most talented artists walking this planet!

  • Just saw Glen perform in Biloxi Miss. last week July 15 th. He had 4 family members with 7 total band menbers. At 72 years of age he and the band was 1 1/2 hours of straight AWSOME.Really an enjoyable night and had an excellent time. He did the Deiverance movie duo on electric guitar with his gorgeous multi talented daughter Ashley on banjo. Totally freaken great!! Glen. Keep on keepin on brother! GETRDUN!!! We love you man! Take care, be safe and have fun..Mark n Laura.....New Orleans

  • @pvm2060 Actually, Glen is 75, which makes his performance all the more impressive. As you have probably heard, this may be his final tour because he is in the early stages of Alzheimer's,

  • 1st 7inch I bought. Still love it!

  • I still love this song.

    Thank you.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • I am from Nepal and I listened to this song.

  • Thumbs up if High School High took you here.

  • 6 people are friggin' rodeo clowns!

  • Glen Campbell is good friends with Alice Cooper!

  • That was just what the Doctor ordered! That was a beautiful tune penned by the great Jimmy Webb & I still love it!! Glen Campbell was an awesome guitarist and an even better vocalist. Someone should do the country a favor and re-release his music so a new generation can get a dose of something ever so excellent!

  • EPIC

  • This song is so badass and gangsta

  • Glen is in his prime here, imo, what a great song!

  • I heard this song for the first time in Kindergarden on a 45 record, the teacher played it....I remember it very well....Glen is a true american hero.

  • to bad he couldn't ride the horse as good as he sang

  • aaaahhhh! the days of hearing this song on either AM radio or 8-track. I remember when I was 6 years old and this song came out . I always sang "riding a horse and eating a can of chicken noodle-o's!"

  • Good song

  • This is one guy who has more talent in his little finger than many modern artists. I love all his songs.

  • Btw crazyrayfamily is my kids account. I'm Rosahlyn.

  • Thanku so much. I keep coming back to play it then bawling my eyes out but the song has very happy memories for my sister and I.

Write down to your daughter that you aren't being morbid but could she ensure your special song is played when you pass.

I've already made very specific instructions to help my family when I pass but then I am disabled and bedridden so thought they'd have enough to think of when my time comes.

  • Played at my Dads funeral yesterday. He loved this and it reminds me of him so much.

REST IN PEACE DAD. Love you my Rhinestone Cowboy xxxxx

  • @rosahlyn I think that's beautiful. Hope my daughter remembers to play Forever in Blue Jeans for me. God Bless your Dad

  • @rosahlyn I Feel Sorry for your dad, RIP =/

  • @rosahlyn My dad was a good friend of Glen's and when my dad died in 2001 Glen played Galveston and By the time I get to Phoenix (my dad grew up in Galveston and moved in 1965 when I was 3 to Phoenix where he died). Glen is a class act.

  • @petekelly61 That's a touching story. It's too bad Glen is afflicted with Alzeheimer's now. I was very saddened to read that.

  • Really? He's playing here in Shreveport soon! Go Glen!

Howed you do hunting this year? I tagged out ,6x6 bull on the 12th of Oct. & then a 8 point white tail on the Res on Nov. 9th. Freezer is full , quess you gotta be from Idaho to understand !

  • this is one really good song

  • Country classicaso Pura Vida YYYYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Chinojkrr Ese pura vida solo en un lugar especial del mundo es conocido, eso mae vaquero...pura vida....

  • I have no idea why I started humming this song...but I do know that the humming led me to this video.

  • this is a filipino song

    called (ang kawawang cowboy)

this is just the english version

  • @ortizaj23 The Filipino song is a novelty song. Glen Campbell's came out in 1974.

  • Where was this video filmed at?

And also, Glen Cambell kinda looks like Roy DeSoto off of Emergency!

  • Wouldn't it be more effective if he was actually walking down Broadway?

  • @catholicpriest1 That was my opinion in a posting I made about a month ago, but I guess they decided to stress the "rhinestone cowboy" aspect of the song in the visual rather than the "dirty sidewalks of Broadway" aspect.

By the way, are you a Catholic priest? If so, are there any youtube religious clips you would recommend? I like some of the Tennessee Ernie Ford renditions of traditional hymns.

  • I was wearing that sorta red shirt when this & Convoy came out. Let alone, goin' to all the truck stops eh. ;)
