  • Happy Saturday everyone!

  • for years ive looked for this.... :')

  • We have been spoiled with advanced computer graphics. 2000s lost the values. As CEO and President of a computer animation company, I can safely say that advanced CA has wiped out traditional animation.

  • Ugh 1998...I feel so old.

  • 4 people didn't have a childhood : )

  • Pure nostalgia! It's like a cup of cocoa on a snowy day :)

  • Saturdays were the best as a child next to Fridays after school.

  • the 90s were truly a good decade.....*sheds a tear of beauty*

  • omg me && my brother are trippin out because we remember running to the tv evry saturday so we could see this :]

damn memories i miss One Saturday Morning :(

    Disney should bring this back!!

  • i always loved this part while i was school i couldnt wait for satursdays

  • 80's-90's cartoons-- those were the days!!

  • current generation, so sad. we had dope cartoons in 80's and 90's

  • Prior to 2001, ABC aired the Bugs Bunny and Tweety show (a retooling of The Bugs Bunny Show) on the OSM block. It aired on various children's blocks on ABC before it continued to air on One Saturday morning.

  • 4 people like ABC Kids instead of 1 Saturday Morning. They don't know what they're missing.

  • anyone born before 1994 remembers this. this was our childhood. everythign else sucked after that

  • oh man I loved this. long live the 90's

  • The art deco makes me love this even MORE!!! :)

  • Yes!!! I miss this. I used to be up every Saturday eating my cereal. I'm 22 and this steal gets me excited!!

  • I miss being a kid :-/

  • @jessjack115 After seeing this video, I do too... :(

  • *click* Illuminating Television oh how i miss that

One Saturday morning, Toonami, and Super Mario Bros was my life.

  • Man, I remember getting up extra early just to catch this show-eating cereal while I was in my PJs, and relaxing on the couch in my living room after a hard week of school...what I wouldn't give to have those days back again... :'(

  • cartoonz now freakin sux major major butt

  • Saw this on ABC. And CTV had OSM too, cuz I live in Canada, apparently.

  • @ItisShe same here. I miss those days too.

  • You only get one saturday morning :(

  • @littlerachelful Sad, but true... :(

  • 15 years ago. Makes me feel old. That means i was 8 years old when one saturday morning was on the air. I remember these cartoons and I turn 24 in March.

  • @cybertek3188 holy shit 15 years ago?? Holy mother....I feel so old!! I'll be 23 this year...smh I miss those early Saturdays!

  • One of the best!!!! Thanks for posting!

  • Half way through the video I remembered it was from disney channel. This is soon to be 15!!!! years ago people. 15. 15...

  • Do all american shows cut to commercial immediately after the opening credits?

  • @bewareofsnow its hit and miss for most american shows

  • God I loved One Saturday Morning. Woke up 8am I think it was the only time in my life that I hated College Football because during the offseason good ol' ABC 28 WFTS would air OSM all over again from start to finish. LOVED IT

  • when i was little i used to get up every saturday morning @ 8am to watch this n sing the theme song n watch the cartoons on one sat morning it was fun watching cartoons n other stuff in the 90s i missed it alot

  • ILLUMINATING TELEVISION!!

  • In a few years from now, SATAM cartoons may be great again, just maybe.........

  • I literally just cried watching this! I miss Saturdays

  • the 2 people who disliked this must not have had a childhood D;

  • I agree with smoothy062 including not having cable at the time. Man this theme brings back such beautiful nostalgic memories. Sad that everything worth worth watching on normal television has been killed off. Cable channels where alright for a while, but now even they are being watered down to the point of stupidity. I'm not just talking about cartoons either. ¤_¤

  • I literally fell into a trance as this unlocked the memories of my past!

  • @Retrowinter So did I!

  • 0:45-1:21 Boy do I miss this tune. :'(

  • instant magic: make sure your computer has RealPlayer, come to this page. mouse over the video. a tab will show up that says 'download this video'. click it. IN THE DOWNLOAD BOX THAT POPPED UP, click either 'convert' or 'convert all'. when the new page pops up, go in the box that says 'convert to'. click 'apple iphone4 mp3'. the next box will have a checkmark box that asks if you want to send the audio clip to itunes. say yes. go to itunes and download it like normal. enjoy.

  • @OceanPrincess88 It actually worked! Thank you SO much!

  • As a kid I just cared about the music in this intro. Now, with a job, tho whole intro makes sense to me. lol

  • I wish cartoons today were like the ones back in the day :)

  • Omg I feel Soo OLD!! I miss this show, never missed a Saturday!! =D

  • Does this remind of you of an annoying YouTube song?

  • @CartoonCookie1 a certian one perhaps?

  • watch this while eating your favorite cereal. You'll nostalgia so hard

  • i cried watching this, no lie

  • I dont know if I'm bieng crazy but I remember a talking elephant next to the black girl XD

  • @capsparrow100 You're not crazy. That really did happen.

  • the longest intro i no but i miss this and all the old cartoons

  • I can't help but dance to the song!

  • *inhales deeply, then sighs* Ahhhhh, nostalgia.

  • what ever happened to the good old american cartoons?

  • I just got this intense tingly feeling LOL! Man, it feels so good seeing things like this!

  • ILLUMINATING TELEVISION!

  • One Saturday Morning. R.I.P.

  • I pity the kids of today. This is what I looked forward to on a Saturday morning growing up. Disney is not what it used to be. What are they showing now? Most of it is garbage!!!

  • Okay, theory: This is where Phineas and Ferb got their first construction project.

  • @ProjectXA3

    Totally.

  • Heck. Stinking. YES!

  • Now if only there was some way to download this...

  • I'm 20 and I grew up watching cartoons.

Saturday was the only day I looked forward to because I hated school. My family didn't have cable and I would always have to adjust the antennae and hold it in place just to break away the static. But I didn't care. I remember I was so happy when I caught a glimpse of the cartoons. Saturday mornings were the best. It's a shame that they killed off Saturday cartoons... Kids these days are stuck with crap to watch. I feel bad for them :(

    ..ahhh nostalgia :)

  • @Smoothy062 dude all of what you said is the same for me including your age and how i didn't have cable. haha fckin awesome

  • I feel sorry for the ones who DON'T have cable. The only cartoons they have now are on the joke of Saturdays called Toonzai. However, I hate the current generation who DO enjoy today's crap, and think that the GOOD old shows are dull and bland BS. They're the target audience for internet memes and Twitter. They're as bad as the family on the Optimum Online Boost Plus commercial. So obsessed with evolving digital technology, with crappy quality in entertainment. HD and everything. And Litton sux!

  • @Smoothy062 This was the same for me. No cable, just a huge antenna on top of your house. I'm 20 now too and I still remember loving this whole 1 saturday morning thing. I miss when all these cartoons were awesome. Most of them are complete crap after the spongebob generation.

  • @Smoothy062

I grew up with no cable too. My parents had an antennae and I would wake up at six just so I could be ready to watch the cartoons. I miss Doug and Pepper Ann and One Hundred Dalmatians. Your right about how this generation's cartoons suck. I buy dvds that have the old shows now so that I can watch the good stuff. I miss One Saturday Morning.

  • @dmarlin89 I was born in 1988! This was awesome!

  • @jonaslove411 I've been doing that for the last two weeks! This really does help you relax.

  • I'm 26, and while Disney wasn't what I grew up with, I still miss this.

  • @iAtomsk yeah i cried

  • HUMP

  • "illuminating television". lol

  • i wonder what the chick is doing with her life

  • It's Saturday Morning and I'm watching this. Where did these good times go?

  • T_T GIVE US BACK THE 90s!

  • @SongsJerome General Relativity proposes, indirectly of course, that time is just another dimension. If that were true, we could simply travel backwards through it until we reach the year 1990.

  • @deoriginalish87 Me too. I just turned 23 too. Same here.

  • At the part where it goes inside the building, I remember watching that as a kid and being so jealous because I wished I was actually there. That place always looked like so much fun.

  • back when cartoons were good, back when music was good, back when life was good.....

  • ROFL high quality my ass.

  • "Illuminating television"...brought a tear to my eye hearing that again.

  • COME BACK 1990's

  • damn. im going to be 20 in 2 months but i remember this like it was yesterday. my favorite shows on one saturday mornings were Recess and school House Rock. i didnt really care for disney's doug too much and for the life of me i could never get into pepper ann. but all nostalgic nonetheless.

  • @syxodude91 Very very true, I'm now 26 and weep at the pathetic trash they have for kids today. Villains are stupid, hero's are pathetic and the stories are just plain dumb. Saturdays don't mean anything anymore now that it's an all instant gratification world.

  • @iAtomsk Yes, iAtomsk. Somebody else cried. And that somebody was me.

  • Before Disney turned into complete and utter shit

  • @JaimzSB so true.

  • my life just flashed right before my eyes. i was a kid again for about 2mins :3 secs.

  • omg that was AWESOME!! amazing memories from my childhood! totally proud to be a 90's kid! I'm 24 now and its like ugh! lol thank you so much for posting this!

  • kids today have no idea what they missed

  • 0:27 lol Hump.but no really I MISS THE 90s!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @soyalikecheese333 i miss the 90's to i got the privilege to live throug the whole 1990's era. was born August 28th 1990 and the 90's was awesome.

  • @ilove2praisehim Aint that the truth! Having a Nostalgic moment lol im getting all emotional just by thinking about the memories I had with these shows

  • damn disney if it aint broke dont fix it.........

  • ....wow :'(

  • I'm 18 years old turning 19, and I dearly wish this block would come back.

  • Man, we didnt have to worry about jobs, paying back tuition, heck it was Saturday so we didnt even heave to worry about school. Just wake up in the morning to the smell of mom's freshly made pancakes. tune into One Saturday Morning and let our imaginations run wild. Then once OSM was over, we just go outside and play all day.fun times.

  • @banthonygant Those were good times. Now I don't even want to get up early on Saturdays anymore.

  • @deoriginalish87 I'm 23, too, and I know EXACTLY how you feel.

  • two kids watching this were born after 2001

  • What year did they stop playing this intro?

  • I wish I could go back to these days, just for one day.

  • Whenever I kept hearing the "Illuminating Television" logo at the end, I misheard it and thought it said "ELIMINATING Television". O_o

  • I miss this SO much!!!

  • Sweet, sweet memories.

  • @nodnarb2151

They're not official over, Toonzai is still running first-run cartoons.

  • @UrkManRocks That's true, Toonzai does run some first-run cartoons. But it's not the same feeling.

  • damn you disney channel u ruined my child hood!!! ::P

  • i love assholes :)

  • abc kids is dead as september 3rd, "Litton's Weekend Adventure" will be the new block featuring nature shows, saturday cartoons are officially over!!!

  • @nodnarb2151 No-! NOO!!! Say it isn't SO!!!

    (In case anyone's wondering,this is NOT sarcasm....Ugh.)

  • @nodnarb2151 lol nature shows

  • @deoriginalish87 Amen to that. I'm only 19, and I'm already feeling it

  • @deoriginalish87 that is why people like me dont watch TV, we watch old VHS tapes of one saturday morning haha

  • Aww Disney please go back to this and forget teenage crap

ABC Family is for teenagers Disney Channel needs to be aimed at children

  • Illuminating Television!

  • @deoriginalish87 we all can relate

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this! i cant beleive it! i was 4...in '98

  • I've missed this so much. It's a shame it's gone but we've got the memories. I now blare this song once more on Saturdays during the school year! :D

  • Oh my goodness.... :) This made me smile. I missed this... this was the one part of my childhood that I could escape the mean kids, homework, sunburns hahaah. I remember this..so well :)

  • Man I miss these days! I used to get so excited when this song came on!

  • can anyone else sing this song word for word or is it just me?

  • @06moviegirl Nope, you're not alone! :-)

  • @06moviegirl any chance you could post the lyrics to this? (lol since you got it memorized, i may as well utilize you)

  • @trizzy66love Monday morn wake up time get to work and stand in line. What would make you feel real fine? One Saturday Morning Coming up next it's Tuesday grind the week is young but I'm outta my mind. What would make you feel real fine? One saturday morning Wednesday , Thursday jammed in the middle once again make pose a riddle What's strung real loose but plays like a fiddle One Saturday Morning Friday has a exit sign but gettin there still takes some time what would make you feel

  • @06moviegirl One Saturday Morning 5 hours of summer once a week one saturday morning 5hours of summer is what we need One saturday Morning 5 hours of summer once a week One Saturday Morning 5 hours of summer one saturday morning Illuminating Televison

  • My kid would much rather watch the cartoons and commercials from my generation than hers. And she's 6....and I'm 26! Even she can't stand the stuff on now. Other than Spongebob....

  • @sariebellie thats proof u raised her right then, she knos real cartoons

  • Man, the new disney b channel isn't as good as the saturday morning cartoons were, and then they get vrid of the good shows and put these stupid sitcoms on like its interesting. you can't watch today's disneychannel and feeel like a kid. its sad

  • Brings back so many wonderful memories!!! Setting my alarm clock Friday night so I can wake up early Saturday just to even catch the intro! I used to get so excited to yell and sing the song!! "5 hours of summer.... What do we need!?!?!?!"

  • it completely disgusts me to see how the disney company/channel has wound up today. back then their shows imaginated (if that's a real word) and inspired. now they just want money and teach children to act preppy. this is why i hate the disney company now, because they've lost their roots.

  • this is a response to my previous comment. disney has gotten some stuff done lately, however. hannah montana and the suite life are cancelled, wizards of waverly place is on the chopping block, the jonas brothers popularite has died, and phineas and ferb is one of the best cartoons out there right now. if they can come up with some outstanding shows, disney channel could make a comeback. also, let's hope disney channel revives the saturday morning cartoon with their "Toonin' Saturdays" block.

  • Back when Disney didn't totally hate children.

  • What prepared you for One Saturday Morning was TGIF. Literally those were the best days. Just awesome shows that a family could watch together was TGIF, but One Saturday Morning was meant for KIDS!!!!!!!! It was not Saturday morning until I heard this song!!!! I loved it so much I actually remember recording the song on my sisters stereo so me and my brother could hear it throughout the week! LOL!

  • I miss One Saturday Morning, they were the best!

RIP OSM & SatAM Cartoons 1997-2006

  • She hit the nail right on the head when she said "Kick back, relax, its saturday" Those were what Saturdays mornings were all about back in the good ol days. I cant wait for the people who run these tv networks to be products of the golden era of kids tv

  • RIP my childhood: 1992-2005

  • Thumbs up if you miss seeing this every Saturday Morning.

  • @Undertakerlover1306 You're not the only one. Me too. :(
