Well, because of its properties Yamato can open portals between the Human World and the Demon World. I can see a game where Lucia enlists Nero's help to retrieve Dante. They could do something neat where the use the ending of DMC2 as the beginning of DMC5 (not the new game) and Nero's the one riding in on a motorcycle. But otherwise, I don't see how Dante will leave the Demon World unless there's a way to open a portal on that side.
@darky00444 I agree, but Nero should at least use a traditional Japanese style when he uses it, instead of waving around like a moron. I mean, Yamato's arguably more powerful in its magical aspects than Rebellion (even though most of Rebellion's magical properties remain a mystery) but Dante was still able to school him. I may be wrong, but I think Vergil uses a style called laido (I know it's called Dark Slayer style in the games).
@Don113 Well...Dante lost against Vergil the first time, horribly at that, he only won when the player was controlling him(bit of a Vergil fan so excuse me). I agree, if he used a variant of Dark Slayer is would be cool.

Vergil is a beast, with or without Yamato. Nero, on the other hand, wasn't able to beat Dante even with Yamato; Dante pretty much toyed with him.

Let me see if i got this right. Dante started out cool. Got lame. But then got cooler when he owned his Cooler brother Vergil. Then got lame in DMC 4 when Nero literally owned him and he pretended like it was nothing when pretty much Nero had him beat.. IF they make a DMC 5. The only way Dante is going to be cool again is if they bring back his old epicness or if they make a 2 player Vs/Coop mode.

I played DMC 1 - DMC 4, and I will say that when I first saw the trailer, I was like "WTF?!?", but when it comes to games, I live by the "don't knock it til you try it" philosophy, or at least until I can see the reviews. Anyways, I'm keeping an open mind about this game, because you never know what to expect, especially with the changes they made.

What sucked about DMC4 was its repetitive design (l have to fight the same bosses 3 times? really!?) and that their was no expostion for Nero and the story; like, how the fuck did he get his arm like that? how did he get Dante's amulet? and just how in the hell did they get Vergil's Yamato? none of this is explained.
@jacobbill in terms of difficulty and challenge DMC1 is way wayyyyy wayyyyyy better. I can finish DMC3 in DMD mode like a piece of piss, DMD mode on DMC1 though is unbelievably unforgiving.
and imo, DMC1 has the better boss battles and the better soundtrack.

I love to read all these dumb fanboy commentaries. "lol new Dante is gay and emo", "new DmC sucks". Dante ALWAYS looked fucking "emo" in the first place, but none of you saw it because his hair was white. Actually, fuck that "emo look" crap, he never looks emo. It's just your dumb black hair=emo assumption that every middle school kid has. Other than the stupid hair, Dante looks nearly the same aesthetically (red coat, etc.) and still uses swords and guns to fight. It's the same fucking Dante.

What sucked about DMC4 was its repetitive design (l have to fight the same bosses 3 times? really!?) and that their was no expostion for Nero and the story; like, how the fuck did he get his arm like that? how did he get Dante's amulet? and just how in the hell did they get Vergil's Yamato? none of this is explained.
its no wounder DMC is getting a reboot.

@jacobbill in terms of difficulty and challenge DMC1 is way wayyyyy wayyyyyy better. I can finish DMC3 in DMD mode like a piece of piss, DMD mode on DMC1 though is unbelievably unforgiving.
and imo, DMC1 has the better boss battles and the better soundtrack.

@1shoryuken thats where im lost, why is DMC4 considered a bad game it had: great and even revolutionary combat system, real emotion(between nero and the chick and even between Dante and Nero cuz Nero could be related to Dante in some way or Nero is a recarnation of Virgil) and it had plenty of room to go even further in the story line, or could have back track to when Dante was being trained by Sparda and could have played as Sparda, making a game like that. there was a shit ton of other things.
