I actually like the way Katie Rose Clarke talks here better than Kelli O'Hara....it more sounds like the way Clara would talk in her childlike voice....it has a more naive quality to it.....

Yeah it is, and it isn't a musical. Never the less I love the movie just as much as the musical. And I'm sure that they have the musical on DVD cause it was on PBS.

I love Clara's note on "from the heart". its just a pop of musical beauty. it hits you pretty fast and takes you by surprise. and Katie performs this role very well

I was thinking and I watched the movie of Light in the Piazza. I feel Katie portrayl is more in line with the portrayl in the movie with the innocent/childish nature of her Clara.

As wonderful a voice as Katie is, I have to say that Kelli O'hara is slightly better. Katie however brings out more emotions of the character through her performance.

I compleatly agree! I had the privilage of seeing both of these women in the part of Clara on Broadway, and I must say, I enjoyed Katies performance much beter than Kelli's(although I love her, my heart belongs to Katie!)
